Chapoutier might seem like a big name in the Rhône Valley, but his commitment to quality and his ability to craft beautiful wines are second to none. His cave offers his vast array of wines from all over Europe and Australia as well, delivering every time. There’s something for every palate and in every price range here. If you can, go with time and even better if you book a proper tasting than just a quick taste a walk-in, to get a proper feel to the wineries’ philosophy and taste some of their higher-priced wines. Recommend 100%.

Cannot recommend enough a visit. Plan in advance and you will be extremely happy. You can just go in and get a taste of some wine, but if you plan you can have a tasting that you plan out in a private setting with an extremely knowledgeable staff member who will take you on your journey. We planned this out weeks in advance and were very happy with the wines and the vintages offered for our tasting. Some were much older than expected. Furthermore, they had very old vintages available for purchase, packaged them up, gave us a VAT free certificate. This place is Amazing. We could have done a tour of the grounds as well, but it was very hot on the day we visited and we passed. Beyond our planned tasting, they offered additional wines at the counter while we made out purchase. If you love wine, or are just a beginner, this is a must visit.

What an experience! The wine tasting, the walk to the fields, the wine selection, everything was just perfect. And what made it perfect was the staff. Just incredible to see such young enthusiastic people being so knowledgeable, yet so approachable and respective of what they do. Definitely recommend visiting!

A bit disappointed by our experience here. Visiting a globally well-known wine production establishment, I would expect a more knowledgeable introduction of the wines, instead of just pouring and tasting with very basic information that one can easily read from any websites about wines. The young man left the bottles we wished to buy randomly and went ahead to take another group of guests, and we were left there wondering what was going on. Nevertheless, the wines are undoubtedly of very good quality, and the prices offered there were incredible. Would recommend for those who already know about their products and want to just do a quick tasting and purchase.

Very friendly ambassador gave us explanations and tour patiently. It’s lovely and very interesting to witness how the wines are made from the very beginning and the theory and ideologies behind. Agriculture is something we really should appreciate more while most urbanised people haven’t yet.

Had a tasting today at 06/06/24. Very knowledgeable and friendly Sommelier(s), the tour through the vineyard and tasting afterwards were both excellent. Great experience overall, with a very welcoming atmosphere! Thank you!

We had a very pleasant and informative degustation here . Some lovely wines and quite a variety too. Over Easter it was also open over lunchtime when everything was shut fir two hours . Well worth the trip in my opinion ( and we bought some rather tasty wine too)

One of the Rhone valley's great names, established in 1808 and owning some 230 ha/560 acres of vineyard, principally in the northern Rhone and notably 32 ha of Hermitage. More recent purchases have been made in Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, Banyuls, and 100 ha/247 acres in South Australia.
