Maison M Troyes

This was our second time in M Maison Troyes and won't be our last.|Firstly, the location is lovely. Along a river and a short walk to the ancient centre. Perfect. It is tranquil and secluded.|The common areas are beautiful and well kept.|The rooms have everything you need. Ours was huge and luxurious. It was missing a safe, but it felt secure. Breakfast was good. They don't offer a cooked breakfast but it was still good.|The owners are very polite and you get the total immersion experience, i.e. they speak French to you! I personally liked this but I can imagine many people struggle. The owners will switch into English if it is important.|The one thing that threw me last time and this time is the check-in hours. It is between 17.30 - 19.30. This means that the gates are locked before this and you can neither park there nor store your baggage and go for a walk until 17.30. We had to leave our car outside with all our stuff inside which didn't feel very safe. This 2 hour window is very short and at about midnight we heard a car beeping aggressively to get in.|Maybe the owners could think about sending an email via Booking or Agoda upfront telling us this as I had truly forgotten. If they insist on 17.30 (and I have never heard of a check in time after 16.00) then maybe an upfront email explaining where we can park or even giving us the code to the car park so we don't have to worry about our stuff being in the car.|Otherwise, if you are aware of this, this place is perfect!

A lovely hotel, incredibly well-situated, with beautiful rooms. Our room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. Alongside the friendliest of friendliest hosts. Highly recommended. Also with off-street car parking. Would definitely come back. Merci beaucoup!

Lovely B&B in a gorgeous old house with beautiful rooms (and very high ceilings!). The hosts are delightful. Very comfortable bed in large bedroom and excellent breakfast (continental). Very central location and secure parking a bonus. Would highly recommended.

Wonderful place brilliantly placed for exploring Troyes. Building is stunning, immaculately kept and has safe parking if you are en route somewhere. Rooms are high ceilinged with great views over the town. Plenty of local places to eat and drink in the evening . Would thoroughly recommend.

Our second Troyes visit and the first at Maison M. Maison M will be our "go to" for the future. Michelle and Bruno were lovely hosts. The property offers a large courtyard with parking and fronts the channel from across the street and is a short walking distance to Troyes' center and other historical sites; everything you might want to do in Troyes. The room was luxurious with high ceilings, a comfortable bed, a separate sitting room with refrigerator, a spaciously modern bathroom with a separate bath and a separate shower and, also, a separate toilet room. The sideboard breakfast was perfect to start our day. ||Highly recommend!

When we stay anywhere, we like quiet, comfort, friendliness and good food. I am delighted to tell you all that Maison M covers all these factors. Our room, number 1 was large, with a comfortable bed, and modern bathroom. ||Set just outside the main area of the town just by the river the hotel was nice and quiet. The large car park at the rear of the hotel was a huge bonus.||Bruno welcomed us warmly. He showed us to our room, and told us what to go and see in the town, even if it was just going to be a brief visit.||Maison M is very dog friendly and they do not charge extra for the dog either, which is just as well, as Wima our beautiful hound, had spent all her pocket money earlier in the day!||Breakfast was very good with lovely fresh bread, fruit, yoghurt, cake and excellent coffee. I was especially pleased about the good coffee. It alway helps put my wife in a good mood, which is more than I can do! And, as chief navigator and co-driver, even when not at the wheel, a happy Mrs Barnett makes for a very pleasant journey.||The Guest House is excellent value for money, and the next time we come to Troyes Wilma insists that we will definitely stay at Maison M...even if it's just for the coffee!!

Just a few minutes walk from the heart of the city, and charmingly located this was a perfect stop for us. Lovely people, easy parking, very comfortable room and a really great bathroom. Troyes is worth more than a stopover so we will definitely stay here again. Very highly recommended.

This was a stopover on the route south but having been before, and therefore knowing the hotel and town, we decided to stay for 2 nights. We stayed in room3 which is so big and comfortable. I agree with everyone that the family, location and comfort are perfect. Oh and the breakfasts. The walk to the lovely medieval town is easy and goes past a really fun piece of art. I will let you discover it! It was very strange being there, in the barge restaurant, when news broke of the Queen dying but the locals immediately gave a toast to "the Queen" which was very moving.||i would thoroughly recommend staying here. |||||
