This Hotel is really wonderful. It is situated in the city centre with a beatiful garden and parking as well. Our room was really nice with a lot of space and everything you need for the stay. The staff did everything perfect and served us an outstanding breakfast.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely overnight stay. We opted for a room with a jacuzzi which was great! The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, and the room was spacious. We also had a patio area outside our room, which was surrounded by plants, so it gave us some privacy while we sat outside. They didn't serve evening meals but the hotel is close to many restaurants and takeaway places. We opted for a continental breakfast in the morning which was plentiful and delicious. The staff were very friendly too.

Arrived with some trepidation after a long drive in Veteran cars. The area is a little under privilged but this accomodation is absolutey stunning. We are already planning our return. A lovely warm welcome reception from our wonderful host and evening drinks in the garden was a shear delight

We were enchanted by this extremely beautiful place. The building is very elegant, the garden is exquisite and the inside decoration takes your breath away ||Our room, with a pretty name Rosa is gorgious, bathroom is beautiful and every small detail is perfect. we had a lovely view on the garden||The host is very kind and gives you the best places to go for a divine dinner||Breakfast was also excellent

We payed twice , once in the hotel and via booking.com . |The hotel manager promissed to pay us back. But nothing reveived until now. ||This was the answer ||":Hello||Indeed, there was double payment. Today 24 may nothing received yet. ||Your overnight stays were paid via booking, all that remained was breakfasts and tourist taxes to be paid on site||Either 4x16€ + 4x2,50€ = 74 €||The payment on site was €339, there is a delta of €265 in your favour.||Can you provide me with a bank account so that we can make you a transfer?||Sorry for this inconvenience,||Have a nice day||Mary"

we took two rooms (my freind and I) when we arrivd to the location I wasn't sure if it's correct in that middle point of small strteet of the city ; from the moment the garage door opens you feel the difference ; very beautiful garden and classic palace view; the decoration is a mix of very classic and modern ;room space is excellent ; the best is how the owner recieves you , very very gentle and friendly ; simply it's worth every cent you pay ; unfortunately we came at the hottest week in the year so AC was a bit problem for us ; but other advantages overwiegh this little challenge .

We enjoyed our stay in this beautifully refurbished and well taken care of house, situated in the few almost undamaged winding streets that are left of the old centre of Valenciennes. For a small repair of our car, our friendly host helped out with tools and materials. If you need to stay overnight in the area, Maison Mathilde is to be recommended.

We have now stayed here two times and have already booked a third time. It is a beautiful manor house right in the centre of Valenciennes and the hosts are lovely people. The breakfast is superb. It is very clean and quiet.
