Maison Matilda Luxury Rooms

The location is great within steps from the charming historical center of Treviso. The house is very clean and historic. The shower could be upgraded but the bathroom is large. The room is spacious. Treviso is also only 20 minutes away from Venice main train station and there are 2 trains an hour all day long. Maison Matilda is a great place for a base camp to visit Venice

We had a wonderful stay at Maison Matilda! Viviana was such a kind and welcoming host — she made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel is beautifully located in the heart of Treviso, quiet but close to everything. It’s small, but full of charm and thoughtfully designed details. Our room was spacious, stylish, and super comfortable — you can tell a lot of care went into every corner. If you're looking for a unique place with a personal touch, this is it. We’d love to come back!

We had a wonderful time staying at the beautiful Maison Matilda over the last couple of days. Viviana was the warmest, kindest host and could not have looked after us more beautifully. The rooms were gorgeous and so comfortable, as was the house as a whole, and we were provided with a delicious, carefully-prepared breakfast each day (as well as a wonderful tea provided for us on arrival). Viviana was always on hand to make brilliant suggestions for restaurants etc in Treviso, and helped us constantly with transport and bookings etc. We could not recommend Maison Matilda or Viviana's fantastic services more highly. We received the most wonderful welcome at Maison Matilda even though it was quite late in the evening. I had exchanged e mails with Viviana before arrival and she is as charming in person as she was in the correspondence. We stayed in La Romantica - a suite with balcony which was lovely. It is furnished with antique (or at least antique looking) furniture. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The bathroom is a really good size and has a good shower. We had Italian breakfast each morning.||The house is an old building and is tall and narrow - which means there are stairs to reach your room. This was absolutely no problem for us (in our 60s) but you should be aware. The room was a really good size and there is plenty of space for sitting in the house if you are travelling as a group - or outside space if the weather is warm.||The location is excellent. The house, is set on a quiet side street but the walk into the centre of the town takes approximately 5 minutes passing shops, cafes and restaurants, along the way. If you wish to stay here and visit Venice (which I would recommend) the train station is a 10 minute walk away, the railway journey takes about 25 mins and costs €4 each way. A great way to experience the city but escape the crowds.||We felt as if we were staying at the house of a friend. We had already planned our activities before we arrived (having travelled to Treviso many times) but Viviana was extremely engaging and helpful and would have provided suggestions of things to do had we required it.||Maison Matilda is a lovely place to slow the pace of life for a while, step off the planet and enjoy what Treviso has to offer.

Avoid this hotel — dishonest and unprofessional behavior I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. My reservation was cancelled by the hotel, not me. After they informed me last minute that there was no parking space available (even though I had planned my trip around that), I asked for an alternative — which they failed to provide. Instead of resolving the issue, they cancelled my booking without my consent. I have written proof that they agreed to refund me, yet they are now trying to blame me for the cancellation and refuse to process the refund. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional — it feels like a scam. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be left stranded with no support and out of pocket.
