Maison Messmer Baden-Baden - Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection

We booked 3 rooms.. check in at 9.30 pm and till 11.30 pm made 10 calls to rectify the AC as in 2 rooms the AC was not working. These are apparently there newly renovated rooms!! Disgrace!!! ||It’s approximately 29-30 degree Celsius outside and the AC is not working but the water is super chilled (15 degree Celsius) and the hot water in the hotel is not working. There is no hot water in any room and they expect us to take a bath with ice cold water. ||The front office manager has no clue and is simply asking us to wait for both AC and water till tomorrow. I fail to understand how did this hotel ever get a 5 star rating. The advice and approach to customers is pathetic!! They not even ready to change the room and asking to wait till tomorrow. It should be a 2 start hotel due to its pathetic service and infrastructure. ||The location is very good due to which they charge a lot for the room but totally NOT worth it!!! ||But never returning back to this hotel!! Highly recommend to stay away unless you want to sweat while sleeping and take a shower with ice cold water and fall sick!!

I felt this hotel was overpriced for what I got. I will note that I visited on a Monday to Tuesday in the off season (March) but I paid the full rate. The hotel is beautiful but the room was average. I did have a balcony but I paid for it. I did a spa package and was less than impressed by the esthetician. She was friendly but the massage was just okay and the pedicure was not good. The service was very nice and they did do a glass of wine and a cake as a birthday celebration for me. Overall just not what I expected. Also parking was horrendously expensive!

I write this with a sad heart. We have been here many times over years and had great hospitality, service and exceptional staff. However we have very high standards when it comes to service, food, ingredients, vegetables, fruits and meat.| |Whilst at breakfast we notice some item labelled as halal. This is not acceptable to us so this will be our last visit, which is a shame, but our standards must prevail, we will be in another Baden Baden hotel next time. Thanks for the past visits.

Stayed here for 3 nights! Good hotel, massive rooms and the best location around. Got the deluxe room with breakfast. The breakfast is avoidable, great places to eat around the hotel.

Just checked out, forgot to order a taxi and the hotel manager & concierge had us personally driven to the train station. Attention to detail and VIP service like this is still well and alive at this wonderful property!! Special thanks to Brian & Martin Benker for the warm accommodations and hospitality!

The best hotel and service i ever experimentet. We stayed here 4 times and every time all the staff are so nice, the rooms are great as well as the food. Breakfast is exceptionally good and the location is perfect for strolling around in the beautiful city of baden baden, thank you for a wonderful stay, looking forward to the next!

Beautiful hotel with a very good location. Located beside the Kurpark Baden-Baden, across the casino. This hotel got so much history to tell. Breakfast was very nice as they source their ingredients from local homemade suppliers.

No doubt the hotel is in a great location within a beautiful town. The hotel itself is also full of charm and seems to be a beautiful place to stay. My main complaint is that its offerings fall short in areas where it could easily succeed, such as basic amenities that one would expect for a luxury / five star hotel. The worn out robes, awful pillows (balled up bed sheets? seriously!!), worn out shower heads, shampoo bottles (perhaps mount them on the wall instead of just sitting the on the ground). We have stayed at many places since staying in Germany, all of which have been much cheaper and offered much more, so why is it that this five start hotel is lacking in areas where it could easily succeed?

The hotel and staff of the Dorint in Baden Baden definitely deserves a 5 star rating. When checking in, Isabell who was working the front desk noticed that I was celebrating my birthday(a big one!) the next day. The staff made sure to make my birthday special in many ways. On my birthday, Mr Sablottni, the restaurant manager, greeted me with birthday wishes and seated us in a private room for my birthday breakfast. A very decadent chocolate birthday cake was delivered to me during our breakfast. Later, champagne & cake was delivered to our room for us to enjoy on our spacious balcony overlooking the city of Baden Baden. During our stay, all of the staff went out of their way to help us with directions, recommendations, and reservations. I was very pleased with our hotel room which was spacious and updated. The hotel's location is convenient for walking to restaurants and shops in Baden Baden. We have stayed in many luxury hotels and the Dorint in Baden Baden is my favorite!

Absolutely amazing hotel in the historical part of city a few mins away from any attractions! I'm here for several days already. Everyone is friendly and ready to help with anything. First morning I couldn't use navigation in rented car, man from the front desk came out and set it up. Right now I'm watching old Russian couple at the breakfast. Hotel sent Russian speaking guy to help them to make sure they are comfortable. Unbelievable! This place keep surprising me with level of comfort and how clean and well organized everything is here. All little details are done with love and smart way for customers. Bedding is hypoallergenic and comfortable. My room has beautiful view and a little balcony. I enjoyed pool, spa and face&body massage. Katrin is very professional and polite. Spa area is spotless also. Everyone I met outside was friendly, helpful and not irritated by tourists. I'm in love with Germany

Avoid this hotel at all cost. Especially if you don't know German. Only one lady spoke a little bit of English. When we got here, we had a free upgrade so she showed us a room that was nothing like the one we booked nor did it look like the level above it. Half of the place you could say is renovated but they can not put an air continent in the rooms so they have split vents with a tube coming out the window. That was the upgraded room, we said no because it smelled of mold and it just looked dirty. The other room she showed us, we asked if the couch pulled out she said yes, later when we started to settle down, there was no pull out bed for my kid to sleep in. For the price I paid this place was a dump. Btw the wifi comes in and cuts out, if you have a hotspot your better off with that

Best hotel in town. In the very center, but very calm and nice. Balanced between classical and modern.
