Beautiful musuem. We definitely recommend getting the audio guide. It's very informative. There's little to no signage around the house so the audio guide really helps. It's a beautifully maintained house. A must see if visiting Lille

Very inexpensive site if you're into Charles Degaulle's life not a bad place to visit an hour is all you need

Lovely house Museum of Charles de Gaulle and an interesting Insight into his early childhood life when living in Lille in his grandparents house. However. Very little info in each room so you definitely need an audio guide. We were so disappointed that after having been thru the majority of the house , the audio guide stopped, all info was then only in French?? Why no other language? And all info about Sport in France in the 40s to 60s?? Most odd. Where is the relevance. No mention of CDG war record/army record. What a huge missed opportunity as this is how people know CDG and want to understand how he managed the armies of France ..most strange

Ce fut magnifique! We visited earlier in the year. It’s a must to buy tickets on line in advance as my husband and I struggled to get in. The house has been lovingly refurbished and is incredibly beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially if you use your French.

Wonderfully preserved, this was well worth a visit. Audio guide was very informative or alternative paper guide. May have been lucky but would recommend perhaps booking tickets in advance. When arriving we managed to get in without issue and not many people about but nearing end of tour there were a few groups. Excellent tour however!

Had a nice visit with an audio guide and enjoyed it a lot! Was pleasantly surprised that 5pm was a happy hour with free entrance. Wish the temporary exhibition to have English version as well though.

Personally I found this really interesting. There is a guided route through the building and lockers where bags must be left. You can get up close to furniture, ornaments etc and it's on trust that you do not touch. One to two hours is sufficient to see the entire house. During my visit there were also additional exhibitions and a video of The Man Himself playing in the building in the courtyard. Access is included with the "C'Art" pass, and I hope to make a return visit the next time I am in Lille.

This was a really nice museum in a lovely area. There's a great audio guide. Surprisingly on the day we went, admission was free so maybe look up what days they are before you go but admission isn't much anyway and is worth the cost. The staff were really friendly. We had a great time learning about Charles De Gaulle's upbringing.
