Excellent location, wonderful hosts, great breakfast! Located close to the trolley for inexpensive and easy travel from the B&B to the French Quarter or to Tulane and Loyola and every point in between. Walking distance to many great restaurants and shops on St Charles and Magazine Streets. Our room was very nice with a super cool window that allowed access to a peaceful balcony. Met many other guests at breakfast and were able to share tour information and points of interest to visit while in town. Tom and Patricia and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying there and will stay again if the opportunity presents itself.

If you are looking for a lovely, comfortable, conveniently located bed and breakfast in New Orleans, run by people who know what they’re doing, this is your place. The hosts know the area well and provide thoughtful recommendations. The rooms are well equipped and have amenities not usually expected in a historic bed and breakfast. We plan to return.

We could not have had a better stay in New Orleans. Tom and Patricia were outstanding hosts - great communication before and during the visit, and extremely friendly and helpful. The b&b has all the old charm that makes NOLA such a great place to visit. And it's an excellent location in the city but away from the madness of the French Quarter. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently spent three nights at this Wonderful bed and breakfast in the Garden District. Two blocks from the streetcar line and a short walk to Magazine Street.||The room was so nice and the bed was ridiculously comfy. Though there were other guests, it was really quiet. Good breakfast of mini-quiche and pastries to get each day started. There is also a very nice sitting area with books and games.||We felt very safe walking in the neighborhood. And that’s a great walk because it is surrounded by the gorgeous and historic homes in the area. In fact this inn is on the historic register as well!!||It’s a short distance to the French Quarter but worlds away. Well worth a stay on your next visit.

We had a great time staying here in the Lillian suite. The location is great, within walking distance of many restaurants and also only a few blocks from the streetcar line. The owners, Tom and Patricia, were very helpful and responsive. The breakfast was also excellent. I especially recommend the vanilla scones.

TL;DR Great stay. Very welcoming, safe, quiet, clean, convenient, delicious, and overall beautiful. Careful of slippery bathroom floor. Me and my sister stayed here for 4 days in March, but wish we could have stayed a bit longer just to enjoy this super charming house some more. Tom & Patricia were very welcoming and informative, they were always available for questions. We happened to arrive over an hour before we expected to, but Tom still took the time to accommodate us and gave a lovely tour of the house with tons of useful information about our stay there and the surrounding areas. Patricia prepares a lot of the food herself and if you let them know in advance, she can possibly work around your food allergies too. We really enjoyed the breakfasts there (and the daily cookies), delicious but light on your stomach. Just enough to give you a boost of energy until lunch. They also showed us how to work the shower. It may seem like a small thing, but was very appreciated since I always struggle trying to figure that out whenever I travel. I guess what I'm trying to say is they have great attention to detail for making your stay as comfortable as possible. They seem to really enjoy being there. The common areas are so nice, I felt like I was in a movie sometimes. Each room had its own character and purpose. All the other guests (during our visit) were very respectful during the night, making it much quieter than a hotel in my opinion. Something I always appreciate about real B&Bs is how the guests are always sensitive to not making too much noise. We bring our own pillows when traveling so we always left them on the bed when we went out. Whoever made up our room, made the bed and kept our pillows there too. That was a nice touch because hotels always put mine on a desk or something, then put the decorative pillows back in their place. Which usually irks me a bit because I have to undo everything. But this small gesture made us feel like the crew actually cared about our comfort. Side note, please try to check out with a little extra time and cash in order to tip them properly, if you wish. We were leaving in a rush to catch the bus and still regret not leaving a more deserving tip. Location wise, it was great. A short walk to the main streetcar but far enough away from the French quarter that it was quiet and felt safe at night. Upon arrival, me and my sister were given keys to not only our room, but the front door as well. This made it feel even safer knowing only guests could enter since the front door remains locked 24 hours a day. If you can afford to stay here, I'd highly recommend it. Especially for lady travelers. My only concern was how slippery the bathroom floor was, even while dry. We almost fell several times, but eventually just put a towel down and that helped immensely. And there were no full length mirrors in the Charlotte room. Which wasn't a problem! It's just something I know my sister missed having. Having one there could have thrown off the aesthetic anyway. Oh and our room had a ceiling fan, which I really appreciated! I hope this charming B&B continues to thrive. The guest experience was so wonderful, all the people working here really deserve the ongoing success.
