Our stay was very pleasant. If you prefer nice quiet neighborhood to the chain hotels in busy areas, this was exceptional. 5 - 10 minutes, you can walk and catch a trolly or bus to anywhere you want to go and helps saves $$$ with not having to pay the high parking costs in the tourist areas like the French quarter. There is a driveway for one car ( first come first serve) and street parking. Safe area. If you like the older style look and feel, this is perfect. Tom is great, very pleasant, and easy going. We received recommendatoins daily for music events. I can't speak for the breakfast options provided at this B&B as we found great places to enjoy different foods daily. Room was very nice and comfortable. We plan on staying here again on out next trip to NOLA.

Excellent experience the moment Tom greeted us at the door. The room was great, the stay was great, the breakfast was great. Very cozy friendly vibes. Tom showed us the Streetcar trolley routes, which really helped us save a ton of money traveling back and forth to French Quarter. And he went out of his way to give us a list of the best jazz shows each night. Tom single handedly turned a good trip into an amazing trip.

My husband and I had a great stay at Maison Perrier. We loved the location. It was in a very quiet area near the Garden District and it was easy to get to the French Quarter using the street car on St. Charles Avenue. It was about a 5 minute walk to the street car and then a 15-20 minute ride on the street car to the French Quarter. ||There are a ton of restaurants and boutiques within walking distance to Maison Perrier. There was also a great supermarket on St. Charles Avenue that was about a 15 minute walk from the B&B. We had a car and parking in front of the B&B was not a problem at all. There is also a Whole Foods Market that is a 5-7 minute drive.||Tom and Patricia were wonderful and extremely helpful. It was very easy to get in touch with them if you had a question. Tom sent music suggestions on a daily basis and there is also a lot of food, tour and music suggestions on their website.||We stayed in the Irene Suite, which we loved. It had a full large kitchen (including utensils, plates/bowls, pots/pans, etc.), bedroom with queen bed and living room area with a day bed. The bathroom was large too and well stocked with towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner.||For breakfast, you could either eat downstairs or in your room. You would place your breakfast order the day before. We had an early flight and they were very accommodating with making sure we had breakfast waiting in the downstairs fridge for us.||Thank you, Tom and Patricia for a great stay!

This B&B deserves more than the 3 stars. Tom and Patricia were very welcoming and made our stay more enjoyable. Tom provided us with a music list everyday and his recommendations were excellent. Breakfast was included in the price and we were able to choose what we wanted everyday. The room was very clean and spacious. New Orleans was incredible but the host made our stay more enjoyable if possible.

Tom and Patricia were the perfect hosts, nothing was ever too much trouble. Tom’s daily Live Music venue bulletin was very useful and he was helpful in restaurant recommendations. Eileen; their weekend breakfast help also gave good service. Location of the property was perfect for exploring The Garden District and via a streetcar it was also easy to get to the Mississippi and French Quarter.

Better than any hotel experience! Accommodations were cozy and very comfortable! And the hosts were great! Close to a lot of great cuisine. Easy parking and safe! Breakfast was the perfect start to the day. Thank you for the great 2 night stay! We’ll be back!

Tom and Patricia were very welcoming! They are truly 10 star hosts. Maisson Perrier is very cozy and VERY clean. The rooms are large and the aesthetic is classic New Orleans. ||I don’t have a single complaint about our entire stay. The whole trip went wonderful! I loved the extra fluffy towels and the spare fridge on the second floor to keep restaurant leftovers or snacks. The breakfasts were amazing! We tried a little of everything while we were there and you MUST try the “pastry”. There is free parking which is a huge money saver in New Orleans and we chose to keep our car parked the majority of our stay.||It’s very close to the trolley line with access to the French Quarter. TAKE THE TROLLEY NOT YOUR CAR. Driving in the French Quarter is a nightmare (don’t even Uber!). We used the Trolley the whole time we were there and it was convenient and really added to the experience ❤️

This is a great place to stay if you want to visit New Orleans!! It is in a great location, close to food, music and the streetcar!! Tom is very knowledgeable about the area, super duper accommodating, and has a great, super thoughtful staff that makes you feel right at home!! Morning breakfast was homemade and hit the spot! Again, another way that Tom and his staff made us feel at home. Neighborhood was also very nice, walking home at 3 or 4 am was no problem at all!!! We felt very safe. We would recommend this over any hotel in the area!!! ||Jeff and Kristinp

Yelp
This place is wonderful. The hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms and lounges are beautiful and the location is great. Anyone would be making a wise decision by staying here.

Yelp
Tom and Patricia were phenomenal hosts. The property (located an a beautiful the very safe feeling Garden District) was immaculate with everything we needed. Their attention to detail helped to set my mind at ease as my dairy sensitivity is annoying enough to put a significant dent in our vacation if I were to accidentally consume lactose. They helped to set up our airport transportation and gave us top notch restaurant recommendations. This was a birthday/anniversary trip for hubby and myself and Tom and Patricia gifted us a lovely bottle of wine. I couldn't speak more highly of their hospitality and of the accommodations. Highly highly highly recommend. Thank you Maison Perrier we look forward to returning soon! Completely unrelated to the property but would love to save others the stress we underwent at the airport - leaving New Orleans on a Sunday requires an additional 30 min at least. We arrived just under 2 hours before our 815 flight (as we did not have luggage to check or tickets to print) and we waited in line to get through security for almost 90 min! There were at least 15 football length lanes winding up and down the area leading to security. We missed our very coveted "A" boarding group. Thankfully we did make it but would love others to avoid that unnecessary discomfort. When traveling to New Orleans - please do yourself a favor and choose Maison Perrier. You will be so glad you did!

Yelp
Tom and Patricia both really care about making your stay pleasant- they chat with you, help you find places of interest, and offer little niceties like 24 hour available free cake, noshes and tea, as well as robes for when you have breakfast. Breakfast includes Patricia's warm, melt in your mouth quiches as well as a wide variety of other choices like fruit, yogurt, granola bars, cake, etc. Their place has unusual antiques and comfort combined and is situated between the street cars on St Charles and the restaurants on Magazine ( a few blocks from each). Stunning neighborhood too. These are good people who know what they're doing and make your stay a real pleasure.

Yelp
Liked · It's a pretty and historic building. The innkeepers were very friendly. There are games and books available, which we enjoyed. The public rooms downstairs are lovely, with interesting art. Breakfast was customizable and a very nice feature. Very good coffee. Daily paper available which has unfortunately become a rarity at hotels. Quiet area. Only a few blocks from the St Charles streetcar and Magazine St shops and restaurants. Disliked · Parking can be a challenge but at least it's free. It's a narrow residential street with a narrow driveway. We ended up leaving our cars in the driveway and using the streetcar or Lyft. Parts of porch and balcony not open to all guests. Depends on which rooms are occupied and when. Confusing. Our rooms, Charlotte and Claire, need updating. The bathrooms were old and in need of renovation. The pictures on Booking.com make it seem all the rooms are large and updated. Ours were not. The bed in Charlotte seemed to dip to one side. The rooms were a disappointment. The rooms upstairs require hiking up a steep and long staircase. ORIGINAL REVIEW EDITED BECAUSE OWNER KEPT PRESSURING ME TO CHANGE IT AND STILL ISN'T SATISFIED. THEY NEED TO ACCEPT CRITICISM, AND SHOULD GO THROUGH THE TRAVEL SITES INSTEAD OF HARASSING GUESTS. HE HAS BEEN REPORTED.

Yelp
Not sure about their lbgtqtia reception. My son tried to book a vacation and was rejected. Not sure why, but we were disappointed to say the least. I believe they screen their guests unconstitutionally. No matter who he is and what background he comes from, if he can pay for your inn, you should welcome him Pat. Not cool.

Yelp
This place went above and beyond! From the wonderful check-in process to Patricias recommended running routes to getting an allergist friend to show up at my door on a Sunday when I had an episode of life threatening anaphylaxis, these owners really showed up and made me feel at home. I am so grateful to have stayed here and gotten such amazing care (while sick)!! The room was so comfy, spacious, and quiet. It truly felt like home. The breakfast was warm and delicious!! The bathroom was divine, complete with robes and perfect shower pressure. There were plenty of toiletries and towels as well. Our beds were made daily!! Will always stay here when in NOLA. Also the neighborhood is very safe, and it's right off of magazine street. We ate out at Misa restaurant nearby, and it was 10/10 food and very lively.

Yelp
I'd rate 85% Great B&B! My gf and I had the chance to visit this bed & breakfast recently. It's a wonderful house built in the late 19th century with a good mix of classic and tasteful modern touches. Rooms are furnished pretty well, and the common areas are a great place to relax over breakfast or the end of the day. There's always complementary cakes, tea, coffee around. Most drinks are very reasonably priced from a few dollars. The innkeepers are very nice and go out of their way to help you with your travel plans. The service here is great. The surrounding area is a residential neighborhood that's pretty low key, relaxing, and has a lot of cool houses. It's close to St Charles Street, which is great for walks. There is also a good number of cafes and restaurants within a mile of so. I did not expect this, but was pleasantly surprised. It isn't close to the French quarter, but it's close to the tram stops on St Charles Street, which should take approx 15-20 mins to get there, or around $10 in cab fare. Parking is also plentiful in the area. Only thing I didn't care for was the thermostat in common areas. We arrived during late December, and other guests often turned up the heater very high. This made it difficult for us to sleep at times, or woke us up in the middle of the night in uncomfortable 90 degree heat. Also, the rooms can be a bit thin. We had Darth Vader in the room next to us when we stayed, and he kept us up with some extraordinarily heavy breathing. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Recommended.

Yelp
This was my first experience staying at a B&B, and I was very pleased with choosing Maison Perrier. Tom and Patricia greeted my brother and I upon arrival, provided us with area maps, restaurants, and anything else we desired. They were both very accommodating. We looked forward returning every night to the New Orleans charm that Maison Perrie, as well as the Garden Distrct provided. I'm already planning my return for Halloween.

Yelp
When you book a B&B for a get away, you hope that the accommodations will be satisfactory and that the Inn Keeper will be hospitable. The Maison Perrier far exceeded our expectations. My husband, Keith, and I booked the Lilian Suite on the second floor for our 4 night get away. Tom met us at the door when we arrived and showed us our room and all the amenities the B&B had to offer. Our room was incredible. We used the jacuzzi tub every night to ease our tired muscles from walking miles on end each day. Tom and his wife, Patricia, couldn't have been better hosts and they really made us feel welcome, offering us suggestions and taking an interest on what we did each day. Everything at the B&B was top notch. The home was built in the late 1800's and is in excellent condition. Our room, as well as the entire house was spotless, with high ends soaps and shampoos, robes, free internet and a second story porch that I lived on when we weren't out and about. What made the trip extra special was their cook, Angela. Breakfasts were delicious but her demeanor and personality were incredible. We fell madly in love with her. The B&B is centrally located between Tulane and the French Quarter. It was an easy walk to the street cars on St. Charles (Green Line) ($3.00 for a day pass) and within walking distance to many fine restaurants and gorgeous homes. It's also located in a very safe area and we never felt uncomfortable walking at night. When you visit New Orleans, you must must must visit the Whitney Plantation. It's about a 40 minutes drive from the B&B (Enterprise car rental is 5 minutes away from the B&B). The Whitney is the first and only museum dedicated to slavery and was the most moving experience. Everyone should plan to visit this incredible site. We will definitely be returning to New Orleans and will not stay anywhere else but the Maison Perrier. Thank you Tom and Patricia for such a wonderful stay.

Yelp
This is one of the best B&Bs in all of New Orleans. Our experience was wonderful, and the place really felt like a second home. The house is located on Perrier and a three minute walk to the St.Charles Streetcar. The area is very close to the Garden district, Tulane, Loyola, Audubon Park and Zoo to name a few. It is not close to the French Quarter--which may be a bonus for some. It really felt like we were residents of New Orleans. The area was safe and we noticed patrol cars monitoring the area, so if you're followed home--don't be alarmed. There are a few restaurants nearby as well. Tom and Patricia were the best hosts. They were very caring and informative and were really up to date on restaurants, events etc. They have a lot of brochures/maps/magazines as well available to the guests. The interior of the house is absolutely beautiful. Very old style, victorian and very spacious. The common living room area is huge and our room was spacious as well. We stayed in the Claire room. The king bed was a bonus and the washroom was also big. I just wish there had been more mirrors and the pressure of the shower head a bit stronger. There is a cold and hot breakfast. The hot breakfast runs from 8:30-9:30 and it was absolutely delicious. We had egg frittata, french toast, scrambled eggs and bread pudding during our stay. There are also brownies and came available 24 / 7 as well as an open honor bar. The honor bar has water, beer and wine and you just check off what you take and settle the bill at the end when you leave. To make reservations, you must make a deposit on the room and settle the account upon arriving. Great experience, lovely place. Highly recommend it.

The place is beautiful. the rooms spacious and welcoming. the bathrooms..... Yelp
This B&B is amazing. My fiancé and I have been on this B&B craze. We find them to be cleaner, more affordable, better hospitality and just a better overall experience. Tom and Patricia are amazing hosts! We were greeted with a friendly smile and drinks! He helped us with our luggage and spent a long time telling us about all the good restaurants in New Orleans! He marked everything for us on the map so it was definitely very helpful! He even called and made dinner reservations for us. All this before we even got to out room or shall I say suite!! We booked the Irene Suite, which used to be the owner quarters. The suite is located on the top floor (3rd floor) and it's the only room on that floor so it has a lot of privacy. It comes with a full kitchen and living room! The suite could sleep 3 easily. The house was huge and homey! They have a fully stocked bar and every morning hot breakfast is served by their own personal chef, Michael! You can't get this at any hotel in New Orleans, at least not for this price. There's brownies and cake laid out for us to snack on. The house bar is based on an honor system. Whatever you drink you mark down on the sheet and you'll be charged accordingly at checkout. However every guest is offered a welcome drink on the house of your liking at check-in. The location is great too. It's located in the garden district. It's very safe and within walking distance to the cable street car, restaurants and shopping on Magazine St. Parking is plentiful too, either on the street or on the side of the house. I was shocked to see there weren't more Yelp reviews for this B&B but I think most of the people that stay here prefer to review on Trip Advisor. Maison Perrier is the 2nd most popular B&B in New Orleans with 4.5+ start reviews. In summary, I would definitely stay here again in a heart beat! Tom and Patricia are extremely knowledgeable and are very friendly. This is Southern hospitality at its best! Thank again for a great 5 days!!!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on a trip to New Orleans. We love it! Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast during 8:30-9:30am is filling and delicious. Sheets and towels are soft and clean. We did stay in the Desiree room because we wanted to stay on budget and it's right off of the kitchen, which means somewhat noisy mornings if you plan on sleeping in-this didn't bother us personally. Location in Garden district is gorgeous and convenient to bus and streetcar stops to get to French Quarter. $12 cab ride to there as well. We can't wait to come back! We even will be bringing our children next time :)

Yelp
My husband and I had a long weekend for my 40th birthday weekend. We had the best time!! The staff and owners are great and have great ideas for all of the restaurants if u are a foodie. Plus the B&B is close to magazine street and is located in uptown area and the at Charles trolley. We will definitely stay here again. We had a fabulous time!! Thanks again!!

Yelp
Great Location: Midway between St. Charles and Magazine within walking distance. Engaging/Attentive Staff: Helpful, knowledgable, accommodating, yet unobtrusive. Great Hot/Cold Breakfast: Fresh cooked breakfast or cold options (cereal, breads, fruit, yogurt) Everything about our stay was a "10" - from being greeted by Tom at arrival with loads of information, to fresh breakfast every morning cooked by Patricia, we could not have been more pleased. They have thoughtful touches throughout including an honor bar for refreshments, free coffee/tea, and fresh baked goods when you come home after a busy day of sightseeing. The location is superb, on a quiet street in the Garden District. Easy access to the streetcars and restaurants on St. Charles and within walking distance of Magazine for more shopping and dining options. Breakfast is a community affair and we enjoyed meeting the other guests. We will be back! Many thanks for a great visit to NOLA.

Yelp
Love this B&B. Very homey. Staff are great and the breakfast is superb. Best stay I've had anywhere. Definitely worth my time to stay at. I will stay here again.

Yelp
Maison Perrier is amazing! It has always been the only option we have ever considered when visiting my brother and his family in New Orleans. When he got married - our entire family (I think they have 14 rooms) stayed at the Bed and Breakfast for the entire weekend. Why Maison Perrier is Great: -- Tom and Patricia are the best hosts - they know everything about the city and can help you with recommendations, reservations, airport pickups or any other activities you may need help with. -- Happy Hour! They have wine / cheese / beer every evening! Perfect before you head out for dinner. -- Michael, the chef, makes AMAZING breakfasts - Praline French Toast is absolutely unforgettable. There is always amazing fresh fruit with breakfast -- Homemade Brownies and Lemon cake available 24 / 7 - just help yourself! -- Honor Bar - Soda / Draft Beer / Wine is available 24/7 - just mark what you take and they will bill you at checkout (except during Happy Hour when all drinks are free) -- Great decor -- The have all types of rooms depending on what you are looking for. From a single room, to amazing suite, to one with a private kitchen / living room attached. The only watch outs - There is street parking (plenty of it) and the room right by kitchen (it is the cheapest room) has noise in the morning as breakfast is prepared. Don't waste your time with other places - go to Maison Perrier.

Yelp
My husband and I took a short "mini-moon" to New Orleans after our wedding back home, and couldn't have been more impressed and pleased by our stay at Tom and Patricia's beautiful Maison Perrier. Less than a block from my long ago apartment on Milan Street, Maison Perrier is elegant and comfortable, spacious and inviting, with fresh air and nicely updated bathroom features (I say this to point out the contrast with the cliche B&B reputation for musty air and crumbling faucets).Tom and Patricia are warm and helpful, yet unobtrusive, and the Maison Perrier allows for as much privacy or conviviality as please you. Breakfasts are tasty and of variety, and there is even a well-assembled reference book of dining destinations, sorted by neighborhood (kind of an important part of touring New Orleans!). The location is a short walk to a stretch of Magazine Street or the St Charles streetcar line, and an inexpensive cab deeper into the Quarter or to music on Frenchmen Street. If you are planning a trip to NOLA, stay Uptown (versus the Quarter or the Central Business District of high rises) and confidently book a room at the Maison Perrier!

Yelp
A lovely old home with high ceilings, antiques, library, a convenient location, and converted to a comfortable B&B. We stayed in the Claudette Room, which is spacious and well-furnished. We liked the privacy of having our own hallway off the main entrance and the pleasure of having our own area of the front porch with chairs and a table. Tom, our host, was very knowledgeable and helpful about restaurants and entertainment. We had an excellent stay here -- and think you will, too.

J V.

Yelp
This B&B was amazing. My wife and I stayed at Maison Perrier for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was wonderful. Tom and Patricia were great hosts. Tom gave us a bottle of wine to help celebrate the occasion and Patricia cooked up really great breakfast feasts (Patricia is super into running and offered to show us the choicest routes in the area). The house was gorgeous. Tall ceilings, well furnished to make you both comfortable and feel like you are staying somewhere swanky. We stayed in the Jasmine room which had access to the front balcony which made for relaxing afternoons in the rain after we had walked around the Garden District all morning. We will definitely be back.

Chloe G.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed in Claudette! Beautiful home, beautiful room! The bed was extremely comfortable! Perfect location, loved walking down magazine street on our first night. Great restaurants and shops! And we were only a couple blocks from St Charles where you get on the streetcars to go to the French Courter! Everyone who worked at Maison Perrier were wonderful, sweet people. The breakfast was great as well! I would love to come back for another trip!

Kelly S.

Yelp
My stay at Maison Perrier helped transport me to an era gone-by. The inn keepers and staff helped me have a relaxing and hassle-free break. Location: beautiful , quintessential New Orleans neighborhood. Building: a well-maintained Victorian gem. Room: "Jasmine" 2nd floor room with private porch. The warm burgundy walls cocooned my 4 post bed which I melted into each evening. Slept very well. The lux white bathrobes and fluffy towels smelled amazing. The home-made breakfast was delicious and copious. There was food and beverages available through out the day/night which was very convenient. -Brownies & lemon cake. A station of teas and instant Starbucks coffee for a hot drink . Honor bar: wine ,beer, soda, water. Honor bar - make a note at the bar of your purchase and billed at checkout. These thoughtful touches helped make it a hassle- free stay. The innkeepers Patricia & Tom had many delicious restaurant recommendations. The staff was gracious. Great wifi. I highly recommend Maison Perrier and will return for a relaxing break.

Andreya W.

Yelp
This was our second time to stay at Maison Perrier. Best kept secret in New Orleans. Easy walk to the street car, great breakfast, nice accommodations, wonderful hosts. Love this place!

Maranda W.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I recently took a 5 day trip to New Orleans and stayed 4 nights in Maison Perrier and it was without a doubt the most lovely B&B we have ever experienced. The staff was so incredibly welcoming and helpful. Tom and Patricia are just amazingly hospitable! Our room was just gorgeous (We stayed in Claudette). The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful, but we could easily access public transit. Breakfast was delicious every single morning. They even have a bar with wine and beer! I hope to return to New Orleans for vacations in the future, and I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else!
