We very much enjoyed our stay at Maison Saint-Vincent, a modern and surprisingly spacious hotel located right in the heart of the Old Port district. It’s a “low human touch” kind of place – no front desk or staff hovering around – but they do an excellent job of communicating with guests via text to check in and make sure everything is going smoothly. A day before you arrive, you'll be sent a door code as well as a code to enter your room. This all worked flawlessly for us. ||||We ran into one issue with the shower producing only very hot water. The hotel was quick to respond the next day, sending both a repair person and a manager to resolve it, which we really appreciated.||||While it’s not a bed and breakfast, they do provide a delicious croissant each morning. Pair that with coffee or tea from your in-room mini kitchen setup and you’ve got an easy, satisfying breakfast before heading out.||||Some reviews mention street noise from garbage or service trucks, but we didn’t find it to be a problem – especially with a room facing Rue Saint-Vincent. I can't speak for the windows facing the restaurants . ||||Worth noting: there are no elevators, so you’ll need to haul your bags up a flight or two of stairs (though the hotel will assist if needed). If you’re checking out but staying in the city longer, luggage storage is available on the 3rd floor near the washer machines.||||The only downside for us wasn’t the hotel itself but the location. Old Port is beautiful and worth visiting, but it’s very tourist-heavy, which can make things like catching an Uber more of a hassle. If we did it again, we’d probably stay in a different neighborhood. That said, if you want to be right in the Old Port, I would absolutely recommend Maison Saint-Vincent as a comfortable and stylish base.
