Maison Sen Buffet

Excellent buffet with huge variety and constantly bringing out more fresh and hot food when dishes are running low. They have upped their prices to 505,000dong for an evening sitting but that still a bargain for what you get. Yes it is expensive for Vietnam but a great place to try new dishes like snails, clams, oysters, crabs, king prawn, lobster soup, as well as offering a large selection of western food and sushi. Fresh fruits and ice cream meant that I did not need to buy a drink, special mention to the coconut yoghurt which was beautiful end to the meal. Lot of birthdays and anniversaries celebrations here with the locals so can get a little noisy at times but all in a very friendly atmosphere and highly recommend placed.

For visitors to Hanoi, this is one of those must go places for a meal. This is the biggest buffet spread I have ever seen in my life. Tables after tables of food. Local, Asian and Western. Huge halls that can accommodate hundreds of customers. Live music and the immaculate gardens help to make this a totally wonderful dining experience.

Some dishes lacked flavour, including the blue crab. My favourites were the snow crab and roasted duck slices. Make sure to bring your own water. They don’t provide free water and charge 5-6x the normal cost for a bottle of water and the ones they sell here are smaller than a normal bottle too

It was expensive by Vietnam standards at over 440,000d per person. Even without a reservation, we didn’t have to wait long, and though it was busy, there were still plenty of tables available. The food was solid for a buffet. There was a wide variety to choose from, and a few standout dishes: the Bun Rieu, oyster with gratin cheese, Crispy Skin Pork Belly, deep-fried mini bread, Banh Cuon, and Chè.

Great seafood!! The vibe is very relaxing, and the service is spectacular. There is even a Minion that came to celebrate my husband's birthday.

This is buffet is so worth it! Overflowing seafood crabs, shrimp, oyster and clams. On top of that you get other quality meat dishes. I love that they are quick to refill. The sashimi, pho and barbeque section was also awesome. Even their icecream was great specially the coconut flavor. Place also felt very high end. Only thing they don't service water so make sure to bring your water tumbler to avoid additional cost.

Absolutely worth the price. The quality of seafood is fresh. I had salmon sashimi, cooked jumbo oysters, mussels, scallops, prawn, crabs, squids, snails and every seafood was great. The only item i didnt feel comfortable eating were the raw oysters, not sure if they were meant to look that way (not so juicy). They refill all the time, seating is comfortable and priced at AUD 32 per person, it was really value for money. There was one tourist group and rest were all locals. Highly recommended if you are staying in old quarters of Hanoi.

Soooo full! Lovely food. Almost all the seafood was nice. I especially liked the prawns, crab, oysters, and sashimi. The herring was surprisingly sweet and crunchy with the texture of the roe. And all the sashimi laid on their own bed of shiso leaves, which made it extra lush. The desert were great too. My surprise favourite went to the yogurt pot with a side of fermented sticky black rice, which added a touch of booze and acidity to pair with the creamy yogurt. All the pastries were nice. There’s hot pot too, which we didn’t have room for. The decor is something special and provided amazing ambiance. Would’ve loved for the staff to smile a little more and speak a little more English, but I’m not complaining. Overall, a great 5* experience. About $400k dong pp. + drinks for weekday lunch (11:15-13:30). Come early. accept credit cards.
