Great experience in Avignon. We found the bakery/cafe early on during our holiday and we have returned nearly every day. They offer a wide range of pastry selections. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. Will be back 😊

This place has amazing freshly baked bread. I feel that a lot of the 1 star reviews are unfounded and unjust. I was up the street at Laiterie Gilbert when I mentioned to the store clerk I need fresh bread for the charcuterie. Luckily the wife of the owner was in line as well. She called the bakery, as it was close to closing time, to notify them that we were coming and to stay open for us. The ladies behind the counter were very patient with our broken English and took the time to explain each bread selection. We settled on their specialty, the bread that has a hint of orange. It was baked to perfection with the subtle sweet taste of orange and a nicely caramelized crust. Would love to be able to get bread from them each day.

This place was recommended by our local Air BnB host. So many bakeries in Avignon, yet this one stands out. A wonderful selection of breads, pastries and fresh sandwiches and salads. I give it an Extra Star for having gluten free items available. (Yay!) Today we purchased all gluten free (sans gluten) items. An orange bread, a muffin with dark chocolate and a very large meringue with toasted almond on top. All delicious! Locals love it, so who am I to argue? Also I read the review on the poor service from awhile back, but the service was friendly and accommodating!

This morning I had breakfast in this little typical bakery. I couldn’t choose a better place: coffe is good and food is even better! If you are a cream lover you MUST try the FLAN ( the best dessert I have ever had). The girls working there are lovely. keep it up!

What a gorgeous little bakery! Used Google to find “bakery near me” and we ended up at Madison Violette. The pain de chocolat was delicious and the sweet thing (have no idea what it is) I had was yummy. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and produced two “big big” coffees. We were grateful. Definitely a place to stop in. Petit déjeuner, déjeuner, and more. Much more. We didn’t need gluten free but they obviously have some choices for those who need it. A lovely way to start our day in Avignon.

Very pleasant place to sit outside on the sun and enjoy your breakfast. Try the pistachio thing from the photo and you'll remember this place forever!

I went there for madeleine but unfortunately it wasn't available. I however tasted fougasse d’Aigues-mortes which was quite delicious.

Maybe we got an off day but this place was not good for us. They missed several items in our order (paid for them but they didn't put it in the bag). We threw away half the things we did get in the bag as they were mushy and likely day old sandwiches. Spent $30 on 8 items and we were able to eat two.
