"On weekends from Nov. 27 to Dec. 21, this market hosts a neighborhood-spirited celebration with bouncy castles and a salon of local artisans." - Ksenia Prints
Maisonneuve Market is such a good spot in Montréal! Fresh local products, friendly farmers, and a beautiful historic building that gives the place a unique vibe. A must-visit for anyone who loves local markets and authentic atmosphere

Though it’s a small market, Maisonove Marché feels like a complete shopping hub with everything you might need—whether for everyday groceries, prepping a meal, or hosting guests. It has a very local charm, and I’ve found the quality of products consistently excellent.
The fresh produce section is especially impressive. Alongside seasonal fruits and vegetables, you’ll often find unique items like edible flowers for garnishing or big, good-quality avocados you don’t usually see in chain stores.
The dairy section is another highlight, offering a wide variety of cheeses to explore, and there’s almost always something on sale. The bakery is exciting too, full of tempting choices each time I visit. I haven’t explored the seafood or flower shops yet, but judging by the rest of the market, I’m confident they’ll be just as good.
Maisonove Marché may be compact, but it delivers the feeling of a full and satisfying shopping experience.

I love going to farmers market. It makes me feel more of local life not too commercial. Food is so fresh at this market. I bought couple cheese and they are so good. There are activities for kids outside the market and local product selling.

Went there June 22, 2024 in the morning. Based on a YouTube recommendation, I came here to have breakfast. Did not disappoint! I love the ham and cheese croissant heated and the $6 Jumbo caramel latte. This is such a great coffee deal!! Pastry is decent. Check it out.

Great place to shop for your weekly groceries!
Good fresh produce, nice little butcher, a bakery and much more.
Especially good if you need to grab something quick for your dinner. Prices will often be higher than going to a big chain grocery store, but the quality of the goods is worth the extra dollar.

Smallest of the farmers markets ive been to, but I actually like it more than Atwater, less than Jean Talon.
Here you have everything in terms of food you need. From produce, cheese, meats, game meat like horse, grains, bread, even jams, jellies, snacks, oysters, herbs, skin care, detergent, sandwiches, coffee, and more.

Beautiful market in a beautiful building, with a lot of variety and diversity of food/products,from fruits and flowers to cheeses and meats, Canadian and imported, everything so fresh and appetizing. Food from the cafeteria/bakery was delicious, and I especially recommend the crème Brûlée,(one of the best I ever had)
The service was very nice and attentive. Ample parking lot in the back of the building. A must repeat visit when traveling to Montreal next time.

Able to find most of what I need. My problem is the cashier's. They are rude to customers, and very rude to me.
2 incidents I had a basket full of produce and they accused me of trying to steal pears. I spent about 60$ that day and I didn't have to nor need to steal pears.

Yelp
Good market. We were here during the Grey Line tour of Montreal. This is francophone like the area. I'm sure it's not quit the caliber of Jean Talon but it was nice and we got coffee and pastries that were good.

Yelp
I went to the marche Maisonneuve for the first time last week. I love the area the building and fountain beside the marche has quite a history and was built in 1912!
Quaint small local market with a few key vendors; fresh fish, protein, spices, bakery, oysters, cheese, fruit and veg. The bakery even though I didn't eat there smelled amazing and was very busy for a Friday afternoon. I purchased produce from the fruit and vegetable section. Everything I bought was good and reasonably priced. I would shop here again!

Yelp
Small and really only good for people who live in the neighbourhood or anyone that finds themselves close-by.
The round up:
*There's a nice cheese place that has some wonderful (local & international) cheeses, Grey Owl being my all time favourite.
*Merci has some really good spices and home-made peanut butter.
*Dauphinois (vegetable & fruits place) is super affordable, and has a fantastic selection (from local stuff to tomatillos).
*Première Moisson is great, I don't mind lining up for a chance of grabbing some tasty bread for the walk back (the bread with the cherry tomatoes..oh my!).
*There's also a seafood place and a butcher with local meats..
All in all a great little marché for everyone in HOMA.

Yelp
I stopped in today for some bakery at Première Moisson and also picked up my weekly ration of berries at la Fruiterie Maisonneuve. While I every much enjoyed the fine service provided at both establishments, there is much to be desired in the pricing. Most everything is more expensive there, while it might only be a few cents at Première Moisson all the portions are smaller than at the other locations I've purchased at.

Yelp
Tonight I went shopping at Marché Maisonneuve with a friend. When we entered the produce section I noticed one of the male cashiers staring at me as we made our way through the store. Once we got to the cash he tried to start a conversation with me and asked me where I was from. I was abrupt with my answer, and left immediately once the transaction was complete . My friend and I went our separate ways shortly afterwards. I continued walking down Ontario street alone for about a kilometre, I stopped at several other shops as I continued. All of a sudden I heard "Hi! Hi it's me! It's me from the market!" coming from none other than the cashier at the market. I made eye contact with him, ignored his advances and crossed the street to avoid him any further. He proceeded to run ahead of me and block my path once I got the other side of the street. He continued with "Hi! It's me! It's me from the market", I looked at him and yelled "NO!". I proceeded to walk away from him as quickly as I could, as I was walking away he continued trying to speak to me. I assume this man stopped following me after that point, but I can't be certain. What I am certain of however, is that this is completely unacceptable. I think Marché Maisonneuve needs to reevaluate who they hire, and also explain to their employees that stalking and harassing clients is not acceptable behaviour.
