Nice little hotel. Great location on the quiet end of the main street. 5 minute walk to the beach. Amazing views from the ocean view rooms and both pools. Very friendly staff. Standard Brazilian hotel breakfast with some made to order options. Friendly and helpful staff. Sheets has a few tears and zipper was broken on the duvet cover. Details that shouldn't be overlooked but through and thought a wonderful stay.

We don’t have words to describe our experience staying at the Maitei! We were supposed to stay only 5 nights, but everything was soooo fabulous we decided to stay another week. The views from the hotel are breathtaking. The hotel and room were really well cleaned. Wine and food delicious! Livia was absolutely amazing to us! The staff members working and supporting all the services in the hotel were beyond graceful, helpful and kind at the same time professional!!! We are definitely coming back! Thank you Maitei for making our stay so enjoyable!!!! ❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨

The location is good - a quiet area on the main street. ||||The views from the sea-facing rooms and rooftop pool area are spectacular. Get up early to watch the sunrise - you won't be disappointed. ||||The room was very large, but pointlessly so as it is just a large open space. This could be easily made into a charming area. With all that bedroom space it is puzzling why the bathroom wasn't larger to allow for a shower that was separate from the jacuzzi bath. You have to figure out how to entirely clean out the sand/sunscreen/saltwater from the jacuzzi before you can use it. On the upside, the mattress was spectacular, but... there was a horrible smell to the bedspread and I had to ask to have it changed.||||The airconditioning unit was a problem throughout our stay and we had to ask them to service it. At first, it wouldn't cool the room. When this was fixed the new problem was that it would shut off in the middle of the night and we were woken up due to the heat. Not acceptable.||||The artwork in the room and the main area was bizarre - especially for a tropical location. For example, in the room there was a painting of a person's face that appeared to be clothed in prison wear and was behind a barbed-wire fence. Really? Who thought that was a good idea in a vacation location?? ||||Breakfast was basic - not bad but not impressive.||||The hotel next door to this has been completely renovated and frankly looks so much more inviting than the Maitei! Take a look there before you book here.

The hotel has a modern architecture with well designed and balanced interaction with the environment. The view from most of the rooms is extremely pleasant as they take advantage of a glass wall/door, turning it into a giant window. Two pools are positioned in an a way they receive the sun for the whole day and you can enjoy the one at the rooftop with good privacy - it resembles the disposition of the pool at the rooftop of the Fasano RJ, although not as fancy or so close to the see.|I didn't ordered meals at the hotel, so I cannot evaluate them. |The hotel team is a major positive aspect, as they are extremely committed to make your staying a pleasant one.|One minor issue is that you will have to walk on a very steep street for a couple of blocks to access the beach, and that is not very clear from the angle of the pictures I saw before arriving - they gave me the impression the hotel had direct access to the beach.|Overall very worth it.

Wow I'm speechless!!! We have traveled around the corners of the world but never enjoyed a hotel like this!!! The staff is superb, warm and incredibly accommodating. We got incredible suggestions of places to visit and explore from secret beaches to hide away jungle mud baths. Our room had a spectacular view of the ocean and we would watch the sun rise in the mornings and the moon rise in the evenings. The previous reviews don't mention how incredible the food is!! We tried some suggestions from the front desk but nothing came close to what we had to eat at Maitei from incredible fresh fish dishes, lobster, risotto with more seafood then rice!!! Everything was simply exquisite and my wonderful wife is a picky restaurantor so to see her in ecstasy was double the pleasure. Not to mention the desserts Aj Aj the chef outdid himself each and every night. For breakfast there was endless choices with different fruits every morning and we didn't get to sample everything they had to offer even if we extended our stay to eight days!!! Even the yoghurt was home made in the kitchen!!! Ether I'm a newly wedd too in love or we just hit the jackpot of Hotels/Restaurants!!!

Simply one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Beautiful room, stunning views and facilities. Above all the service was impeccable as was the breakfast. Can't wait to go back and enjoy this little piece of paradise again!

We had 5 wonderful days in this charming and romantic hotel! One of the most astonishing views we’ve ever seen and less than 5 minutes walk from the Arraial D’Ajuda Village.||||Quite careful staff always prompt to assist. Giulia (concierge) took great care of our tours and transportation, indicated a range of restaurants and customized services!||||An unforgettable getaway!
