Majagua Hotel Boutique Oaxaca

We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms were clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with a modern aesthetic that made the space feel both cozy and photogenic. The location is fantastic—central and very walkable, making it easy to explore Oaxaca. We really liked how intimate and peaceful the property felt—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Check-in was smooth, and we were warmly greeted with a welcome drink, which was such a nice touch after a day of travel. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the small outdoor area attached to our room with our morning coffee. The rooftop was also a highlight—perfect for breakfast with a view. The fresh cookies delivered at night were so cute. It’s small touches like that which made the experience feel truly special. Overall, this is a stylish and charming boutique hotel with great service and a peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Oaxaca!

Overall great. A bit pricey but I feel like it’s become standard for Oaxaca. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge and with very comfy robes. Service was good but for example, we had breakfast (paid) before our check in, and then did not use our included breakfast, and were wondering if they could waver that, and they did not accommodate. Seemed like a simple gesture that would have made a huge difference.

Couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They spoke with us at length to help us plan our trip to zipolite. The rooms are beautiful and the AC is crisp. For breakfast, you get a meal included and can sit on the beautiful balcony and enjoy chilaquiles or scrambled eggs and a coffee. It’s right near everything and a beautiful park. 10/10!

A very unique boutique hotel located in the heart of Oaxaca. Comfortable, clean and size is big enough for 2 people. The staff is friendly and helpful. This hotel offers made to order breakfast everyday and their barrister is great in making a good coffee for you every morning. Enjoy the stay and highly recommended .😊

We enjoyed our 5-night stay at Majagua. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, nice shower amenities and the location was great. Staff was very friendly and professional, and we appreciated all of Brian's help during our stay.||The only reason why we didn't give a 5 rating was for the little stuff. While the rooms are beautifully decorated, it seemed to be more style over function. Small reading lights on each side of the bed would make a world of difference, more closet space/hangers (closet is in the bathroom) and offering a bit more variety for the breakfast buffet would be appreciated. We did enjoy eggs to order, which were well done and the coffee was great!

A beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The rooms are elegantly decorated, and all communal areas are a high standard too. The service is fantastic. Always friendly and professional. Absolutely the perfect place to stay when exploring Oaxaca.

This Hotel is very well located, just a few blocks from Santo Domingo. Walking distance from the main spots and attractions in downtown Oaxaca. Great restaurants close by. Our room was clean and comfortable. And staff were very friendly and helpful!

The hotel is at a really good location just about 5 mins walk from the main restaurants. It's in a calmer area. The rooms are very clean and have everything that you need! The roof is very nice for morning breakfast and staff are very helpful as well. They arranged a very nice tour to visit a Mezcal distillery and Monte Alban. We really enjoyed our stay will definitely come back.
