This accommodation was fabulous. The staff were friendly and the room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable and the grounds were beautiful! There was a TV in the main bedroom, adequate heating and an electric blanket. The kitchen had everything you needed for light meals. There was a full sized fridge and we got a key each. There was a washer dryer in the bathroom and they provided a sachet of washing powder. We were located on the top floor, and most other apartments had steps so I dont know if this is wheelchair friendly. This apartment was comfortable and close to shops with cafes, pharmacy, boutiques and nail salons. The best thing as a tourist was the bus stop directly out the front which had a free bus service that took us right into the city and back. I would highly recommend Majestic Old Lion Apartments!

The room was very nice . Clean & well appointed. The "service" was a little disappointing. I had a couple of issues... a) the TV remote didn't work (seriously, it was for a company different model) b) the main light in one room didn't work. It took a day to fix the TV remote issue.... The light was not fixed over the 6 day stay. I have no idea how the house keeping staff managed to service the room in the dark!!! Parking in the area is all under "management". Be prepared! Pay the crazy guest price of the hotel or follow all the very unfriendly council parking signs and park blocks away.

Overall impression 😐 A mixed stay — excellent staff and cleanliness, but serious issues with Wi-Fi and the annex apartments significantly impacted our experience. What we liked 🤗 Reception staff were quick to respond and very helpful when we raised the Wi-Fi issue in the annex apartment. (No 4G in this apartment either!). We were promptly moved to a two-bedroom apartment closer to the front of the property … thank you! Housekeeping staff were extremely friendly Apartment was very clean Well-equipped kitchen with good utensils and equipment Secure undercover car parking Option to have breakfast delivered to the room is a nice touch What could be better 🤔 Wi-Fi did not work in either apartment Annex apartments are dark, dank and unwelcoming with very limited natural light and poor ventilation in the annex (only two windows) Linen nice however towels are old, scratchy and need replacing Air-conditioner in the two-bedroom apartment is very small and would not adequately cool the whole apartment during Adelaide’s hot summers Good to know 🧐 Internet access is unreliable — even 4G was intermittent in the annex Main building apartments are much brighter, airier and far more pleasant than the annex If you need to work remotely, this property may not be suitable Would we return? 🤔 Possibly — but only if guaranteed an apartment in the main building and with reliable internet access confirmed in advance.

Stayed here for two nights in January 26' Did not have a good experience. Sofa bed was uncomfortable and hotplates didn't work. We had to move rooms because of it which was a hassle. The room we moved to, the Sofa bed was not made up as requested. I approached the front office staff and was told that as he was only one on duty he couldn't make up the Sofa bed. Later that night when there was a new staff member there,My friend told me he made the Sofa bed up. Also, the front door didn't lock,so it was ajar all night. Perhaps, before you offer apartments to customers ,check to see if the room is liveable. Not happy with our stay. The front desk staff are incredibly rude.

NOISY at night!! It’s a shame as they are great apartments otherwise. |There were live band playing outside the back of the apartment until 10pm and then loud bass from dance music in the hotel until midnight (see photo from our kids bedroom).|I realise we sound a bit miserable but when you are trying to get kids to sleep it’s a tad annoying. A great hotel for atmosphere if you are wanting a night out though : )

Stayed at Majestic Lion for a Business trip, but happened to have children with me. Unfortunately the WiFi was broken. This didn't work our entire stay. Whilst this likely wasn't the fault of the people at reception, I have no clue why it would take 4 days to replace parts to get WiFi working. We kept getting told WiFi is complementary. What hotel or apartment in this day and age doesn't have WiFi available and complementary. Given the choice I would have selected one that had complementary WiFi that worked. This impacted daughters studying for exams and my ability to work after hours.

We stayed as a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids.|It was a last minute trip to Adelaide and almost everywhere was booked out due to the Crows footy game. With limited options available in Adelaide we booked a 3 bedroom apartment. |Upon check in we were advised that there was no parking available on site and I should have selected the option online when booking. We could park across the road in the public car park. |Onsite car park is $15 per day. Public car park is $17 per 10 hours. The apartments have no way of validating your car parking or offering a reduced rate.|The rooms, as others have said, need some maintenance. Our bathroom door got stuck, the water from the shower kept pooling on the floor and the carpet wasn't very clean. |Being a Saturday night the outside noise from the neighbouring pub was loud. ||At check out I told the staff that in fact I had checked online and there was no option for selecting parking when booking for a 3 bedroom apartment, unlike every other room option. The male staff member didn't give a rats razoo however the female staff member said she'd follow it up. It's 2 days later and I've heard nothing.||Give it a miss. For over $500 a night I regret staying here. I wish I'd booked an AIR BNB.

Great big apartment, which was really clean. It had everything you needed to be self-catering. The only small gripe was there was no heating in the bedroom, but a plus was the bed had electric blankets.Excellent big apartment, with washer and dryer in the bathroom. It was a short bus ride to Adelaide Oval and the CBD. I would definitely recommend the apartments and definitely stay there again.

Yelp
Checked in late, in Adelaide for the Eagles. Very friendly front desk despite the hour. Noisy hotel next door but our 'Annex' apartment is large and peaceful. Good location, some entertainment / restaurants close by, and a few more 5 minutes away. Good sized rooms, very comfortable kitchen. Lots of stairs to get to room and very crowded car park. Otherwise a winner.
