Very nice hotel, convenient location. You can sit at the chairs on the rooftop and enjoy the view. The rooms are quite spacious, tea and coffee making facilities. Great for singles as well, myself and two friends stay for 3 nights each year. They add a rollaway bed and it is very economical.

If I’d done my research about this hotel, I’d have known that it didn’t have a pool, that the “gym” consisted of two treadmills, one stationary bike and a few weights and that the roof garden was not expansive and didn’t have a bar (it did, however, have lots of dead or dying plants). I also would not have paid extra for a tiny balcony, with one chair, overlooking a multi-level carpark.||That said, the room was large and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, huge bathroom (with a bath), lots of storage and - very important - a coffee maker (with milker). I also appreciated the large coffee mugs, the decent wine and champagne glasses and the cutlery (nice touch).||If management is reading this, room 404 needs a shower dispenser upgrade. The labels have faded such that I shampooed with body wash and washed with shampoo (which I discovered when I turned the bottles around).||This is a well-located hotel, within easy reach of Rundle Mall, lots of cafes and restaurants, the cultural strip of North Terrace, the botanic gardens, the river and the east parklands.

Google
Awesome location and value for money sums it up.||The hotel was opened in the early 2000s and hasn’t been touched since. It has failed to keep up with more modern technology of what travellers have come to expect.||TVs old and clunky, power points positioned in obscure places around the room, bedside clock looks like it’s been there since it opened. Decor hinging on looking tired and dated, hanging on by a thread. Bed was fine if you prefer firmer beds, the hotel was happy to provide a mattress topper.||It really wouldn’t take much to start a few simple upgrades inside the rooms to give it a lift. ||Staff at reception mediocre on the friendly front. Gym room on level 7 is literally 2 outdated cheap treadmills, a cheap bike, a rack of hand weights and a tv that doesn’t stay on. ||Car parking is relatively decent around the hotel. Pre pay your parking at the Wilson across the road if you only want to stay overnight and street parking is taken up. The hotel charges $30 for 24 hours with multiple exits but prepay at the Wilson and it’s $19 overnight if needed, one exit only though.||Plenty of really great spots to eat and drink around the hotel area, some cute shopping as well. Rundle mall is a short walk away also and lovely parklands nearby.

Google
Very happy with the hotel and it's facilities and the staff were excellent. The only major complaint was that the bathroom was designed by a man, and therefore little consideration was given to a womens needs of shelving for make-up etc and the shower was poorly designed, without an overflow barrier to stop the shower water flooding the bathroom floor. Minor but anoying. As to the room, very comfortable and pleasant with enough hanging and drawer space space

I enjoyed my stay here. I could easily walk up Rundle Mall, the tram and botanical gardens. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was great as well. No fancy pants views but that didn’t bother me at all. I would definitely stay here again.

Google
A great location and walking distance to Rundle Mall, various dining places, art gallery, botanical gardens, pubs, museum and transport to and from the airport. The hotel room was lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my time at this hotel and I'm within the walking distance to everything a good way to get fit!

The beds were very comfortable with extra pillows available to help a great night’s sleep. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful even when arriving at the hotel very late at night. Excellent breakfast to start the day. Thank you.

Google
In a good location, with plenty of cafes and restaurants near by. We booked very late and got a great price. The rooms are clean, comfortable and enough space to move around with 2 people. The rooms on the Frome St side get quite a bit of light from the street, however the curtains can block it out if closed. The staff were courteous and efficient.

Yelp
This is a very nice hotel. Yes the rooms are spacious. The staff is great. The breakfast is fabulous. Two grips however it doesn't have a pool, and the roof view to the west looks at skyscrapers and roof tops. However if you are an early riser check out the roof top at sunrise. Ohhhhh two more negatives sorry when you are pay $400 a night for your room the least they could do is actually make you a fresh cup of coffee. UNFORTUNATELY! The have one of those automatic push the button and the machine pours out brown water with no flavor! If you ask for a real cup of coffee they want to charge you more for it. Seriously $400 dollars for my room and I still have to pay for my coffee! So I giving it a very weak 4 star's just like there weakest coffee possible! Yuk!

Yelp
On my most recent trip to Australia, this was most definitely my favorite hotel. I could pretty much sum it all up in one word: luxury.. Ok, maybe I'd throw in the word comfort too, for this hotel had the most comfortable bed of my entire two week trip. Yup, I was as snug as a little joey in his mother's pouch. Oh, and the carpeted floors were simply Heaven with so much spongy padding underneath the carpet that I felt like I was walking on a cloud. I swear this experience was just like taking a trip to a spa, and it had me crying, "Why can't my carpets at home be this awesome!" Finally, the location of this one rocks!! The whole area near the hotel is loaded with bars and restaurants of just about every style--why I even found a sushi conveyor-belt restaurant around the corner. Kanpai! Yes Sir, whatever language you want to say it in---Kanpai, Cheers, Hooray, or Good On YA ----The Majestic Roof Garden Hotel is a winner.

Yelp
Very impressed! We stayed here for one night, since we were going to a late gig in the city. Everything was impeccable - the service at the front counter, the room itself, and the amazing bathroom. Dinner and breakfast at Culshaw's downstairs was amazing - I will review Culshaw's separately, but if you stay at the Majestic, be sure to visit!

Yelp
I can't praise this hotel enough. Let's start with the location - just off Rundle St in Adelaide's east end, surrounded by bars, pubs, all sorts of dining options, independent shops, transport options and open green space just a few minutes' walk away. Our suite was huge and comfortable. Super comfy bed, quality linen, great bathroom (enormous!) and an amazing deep bath with spa jets. So relaxing. The kitchen area is well stocked and would be ample for total self catering - though there are definitely all sorts of options nearby for dining out, picnics or take away. Staff all very friendly and checking in and out was fast and seamless. Love the mini bar stocked exclusively with locally produced products - such a unique touch. Highly recommended - we'll be back.

Yelp
I don't stay in hotels in my own city very often, as I have a house to live in, but for special occasions I would definitely stay in this one again. The rooms are lovely and decked out nicely. The staff were very friendly when I was checking in, the location is superb and the restaurant was fancy and a nice treat. The rooftop garden is a cool idea, with a function centre in the middle. The garden has lots of plants, secluded seats, a nice view of the city, fountains and shady areas. I ordered a picnic which the staff make up for you with whatever you choose in it, and we ate it on the rooftop enjoying the sights of our own city. Located right near Rundle Street, Majestic was a great hotel to stumble home to after town and a nice big bed to wake up in.

Yelp
This hotel was very hotel-y. (Wait, wait, dont write me off as a completely pants yelper just yet.) Standard size room, standard hotel issue desk, standard bed, standard under-the-tv glass-enclosed mini bar with standard issue airplane spirits. All looked par for the course until you walk into the bathroom and see the most un-standard bathtub in the history of hotel bathtubs. Look, I'm not even a bath lover. Even the conservationist in me can't quite get behind the whole used bathwater concept. But this bathtub beckoned in a way that others never have before. This bathtub was really begging for it. So I indulged. And I may have even been converted too, save for the fact that there weren't any bathrobes. I guess that accurately sums up my experience. While there were a few shining star moments at the Majestic, there just wasn't the follow through to put this hotel anywhere above standard.

Yelp
I really liked this boutique hotel. The rooms were huge and the bathroom was awesome. There's a huge bathtub that has a Japanese type screen that opens to the bedroom and you can watch tv from the tub. The shower was also really nice and had a huge shower head with great pressure. King size bed was delightful. Check out the roof, nice view and there is a coy pond and lovely little cafe tables.

Yelp
For those of us who live a little further than a decently priced cab ride home, an evening out in the city sometimes calls for an overnight stay. I'm always for comfort over a cheap-room, so I do admit to being a hotel snob; only 4 stars or above for this girl! I booked Majestic Roof Gaden Hotel to accomodate my partner and I for a kid-free Saturday night out. We rolled up at around 4pm and came across that age-old problem of CBD-based hotels, the lack of parking when checking in. We did a few laps of Rundle St / Bent St / Grenfell St / Frome Rd until we were able to locate an on-street park. Check-in was painless, with the offer of free Wi-Fi (we declined... what sort of romantic evening would it be if we were sitting there Yelping all evening... ;P). Parking was $15 for 24 hours, and is located on Bent Street. You can then access the rear of the hotel from the service entrance. Our room was incredibly neat, and tidy. Your typical international-standard hotel room. I was particularly impressed that I could sit in my bubble bath, open the Japanese-screen style doors and watch the Food Channel in complete luxurious comfort. The king-sized bed was ENORMOUS and provided ample length for my 6 foot-plus frame. Bed linen was soft, and not a sign of the scratchy, harshly starched sheets that often accompany hotel rooms. The view was over Pultney / Rundle street, and although while not picturesque, it had it's urban charm. The whole point of the visit though was a (very nice) bed in the city, while we went for a night out. So the as per usual over-priced bar was of no interest to us. We did partake in dinner at the downstairs restaurant, Culshaws, however. This was a thoroughly pleasent experience, and shall be regaled in a future review. And after a ragingly good night at a gig, just how did the room rate for sleep-O-bility? Definitely up there as one of the best hotel rooms I've stayed in for comfort, and low noise factor. There was minimal disruption from any other guests, and the only reason we were forced out of our slumber was because our alarm went off. (Really, you do feel a bit cheated of the Sunday morning sleep in when you have to set your alarm... but then, we also didn't want to miss breakfast down at Culshaws!) The Majestic Rooftop Garden is a top stay if you are up for a night in the eastern end of the Adelaide CBD. Friendly staff, incredibly neat and tidy rooms with pretty much every whim catered for. Just slip in a bit of easier parking when checking in, and this place would have 5 stars!

Yelp
I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Accommodation: Large clean rooms with modern appointments. I have tried 3 different rooms and they all had a shower and a separate bath. Large TV but WiFi was spotty/unreliable in rooms (no problem in foyer though). Garage parking is available but it doesn't come cheap. Parking on the street is tough to get at peak times. Location is ideal for access to the mall and Rundle Street restaurants. Would be a good choice for place to stay during Festival/Fringe. Service: Excellent. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Restaurant: Great food. They offer a terrific Australian themed main course for dinner which features kangaroo, barramundi, squid and crocodile which would be good for tourists. A good happy hour. Breakfast was excellent quality buffet with loads of options but they have an odd requirement that you commit the night before if you wish to get it at an affordable rate. Price: You can find great deals for the accommodation, and the restaurant is definitely worth a visit even if you're not staying there.

Yelp
Located on Frome up near Rundle St, you can't do much better location wise than the Majestic RGH. What sets the Majestic apart from other hotels in it's class is it's rooftop function room. With lovely views of the city, you and your guests can enjoy your wedding reception or celebration in style. The rooms are great, big and clean, with modern furnishings. The noise level is surprisingly low considering the location, I have always found the staff great, whether I need extra pillows or towels, they are always happy to assist. Also worth noting is that I have found this place will match rates on booking sites such as Wotif, which will save you the booking fee.

Yelp
This is a review from a tourist. We stayed at the Majestic for four days and have to say that the hotel is very nice. The staff was attentive and the staff makes of breaks a hotel. Check-in and check-out was easy. The cost of the honor bar in the room was very reasonable. The bed was comfy, the shower and bath were nice. DON"T walk into the room in the dark. I walked into the small bench at the foot of the bed (see the picture that people have left -- ouch that hurt). The rooftop area is okay. The WiFi is a little slow and would drop out every so often. The workout room is three machines and I would rather go out and walk. The rooms are clean, they are fairly quiet and they suit their purpose which is to store your stuff and give you a place to recharge and sleep. And you are on Rundle - a couple blocks away from museums, some great places to eat close by and not that far to get to a bus or a tram.
