My friend and I arrived for appointment on time, and I had booked a gel removal and BIAB application. I came in with hard gel on my nails, and was told that we booked the wrong removal and they weren't sure if they could do it. After my technician spoke with another staff member they came back to me and said that they'd be able to proceed. I wasn't told that I couldn't do BIAB on my nails, so I assumed it would just be a higher price for the removal, which I agreed to, but they never said by how much.
During the appointment, my removal was finished and I chose a colour, I assumed would be a BIAB colour. My friend, who chose a gel polish, chose from the same book that my polish came from. I don't think I left with BIAB on my nails, they were quite uneven and lacking form. I'm not sure if my technician tried to communicate these changes with me, but I did not understand if I was still getting BIAB or not.
In terms of quality and price for the service, the sidewalls of my nails have been filed more than I'd like, and some spots had my old colour on it. The price point for the removal, and regular gel came out to $138.99. No combination of prices on their website + tax adds up to this amount. I am not sure I was charged for the services I received. I was also asked while paying how much I'd like to tip out loud, instead of inputting it myself. Odd!
Overall, my nails are alright, but with the final price point I tipped just over 15%, coming to $160, I don't think this was worth it. Overall lack of communication and miscommunicated services doesn't warrant this high of a price point.
