Majong

I stumbled here after a long night of drinking cocktails around town, this was open late and close to my favourite kebab spot, so it seemed like an easy choice. It was fairly empty by that time of night, even in that neighbourhood. But it had such a cool, chill vibe. I was surprised. I've seen this bar mentioned as a hip spot so I thought it might be a bit pretentious or full of Instagrammer types (because of the awesome decor). It was so laidback, with a really good atmosphere. The staff was so nice, welcoming, and fun. The patrons also were just relaxed and having a good time. I can't recall exactly what I ordered but it tasted good and was balanced very nicely. An all round excellent end to a night. I'm so glad I gave this place a chance. Love to come back sometime.

Found by chance and just popped in for a glass of wine. Definitely seems like they focus on cocktails but the wine was great nonetheless but maybe a bit overpriced compared to surrounding places and limited choice as well. Interior was super cool and moody which was exactly what we were looking for and had some great art work and things to look at.

Very cool, small bar, with an interesting variety of cocktails on the menu, and some "interesting" and quirky artwork throughout. Initial welcome was friendly, and drinks orders were taken promptly, and drinks arriving quickly. The drinks we ordered were excellent. However after that, it was difficult to get the attention of staff to order further drinks. Appeared to be a group of friends/acquaintances of the staff in the bar, and most attention was given to them. Eventually settled the bill and left after giving up on ordering a second round of drinks.

I really like the cocktails at Majong, especially the Bloody Mary, and the staff is incredibly friendly. However, there are a couple of issues that make visiting less convenient. About every second time I come, I’m told they only accept cash or Mbway, while other times card payments are fine. This inconsistency is really inconvenient. Also, they don’t allow dogs, while most good cocktail bars are dog-friendly. I hope the management can address these two points, as they are the main reasons I don’t go to Majong more often.

Cozy place which left footprints on the last night in Lisbon. Good cocktails and extremely friendly staff, especially half asian guy. We spoke just several minutes, but sometimes unique people leave with unique experience..

Best cocktail bar in Lisbon. Not pretencious and very cool bar and real quality cocktails. Would reccomend to anyone.

Very cool place, cool setting and amazing ambient music! Drinks are good and pricey, we also tired the oysters which did not tasted very fresh to me, but maybe just bad luck the day I went. Overall very nice place!!! Will surely go back.

We stopped by on a whim on a Tuesday evening. The inside itself has a pretty cool vibe. Nothing on the cocktail menu really jumped out at me. We got a couple of shots of amarguinha on the rocks and they were very much so upcharged so you probably won't get the best prices on drinks here. The service itself was pretty slow even though they weren't busy.

A nice bar to get some cocktails from. Their drinks are pretty and taste good too! Service is quick and the vibes are fun and lively.

We came for the cute cocktails - there was great variety and they were delicious and strong! The staff is very kind and they're a good time! Highly recommend as a well located stop before going to the clubs down the street.

great cocktails, vaguely steampunk insect art, and chill music. Majong is a rare find in a neighborhood filled with dingy, cookiecutter bars. skip the strobe lights and come here.

Very nice, cozy drinks place. Perfectly prepared drinks, probably a bit costly for Portuguese standards but perfectly fine for tourists

Nice little bar on this hopping late night street scene. Has about a dozen tables and a little bar counter space. Serves variety of cocktails along with a few wines and ports. No food that I could see. Plays music and has a big video projection behind the bar. Music is not too loud so perfect for after dinner or late night tomantic drink. Open until 2 pm. Bathroom doubles as a make out room so waits can be long.

Great drinks! More pricey than the other places at the barrio alto district, but still cheap compared to SF prices. Definitely worth a visit! Cool napa cabbage (?) lights, too.
