They sent the wrong size cap & they would not issue a refund because the cap didn't have a round gold sticker on the front. The cap never came with a sticker. We took pics of all angles & the inside. This is a limited edition hat & they are sold out of his size or else we would've just asked to exchange it. I think the wrong size hat was sent intentionally. Seems like a scam. WARNING Don't buy anything from this store. The communication with customer service was good.

Really miserable experience, we ended up just saying have a nice day and walking right back out. We were immediately asked to disinfect our hands … fine. Then told no trying on and no returns … fine. Then the employee asked if we had an appointment … we did not … “well that’s fine today but you usually need an appointment” 🙄 Places like this can barely verify the authenticity of their goods these days with the quality of reps from overseas. When you couple that with the experience of effectively being treated like a criminal from the moment you walk in … I’d be shocked if they stay in business long.

Such a great neighborhood establishment. Many fond memories and good high quality products. Always a good time being in the shop and coming out with some new garments. Never disappoints.

My husband and I had the greatest time in the store. Picked up some Nike footscapes, fire major exclusive fitted, and had the best convo. Thanks for great service, exceptional selection, and fun times. Happy to make an appointment the next time we are in the city.

A bit disappointing, I came from Switzerland to this famous store as a sneaker fan. A cold welcome. We were asked to disinfect our hands (it felt like we were five years back in time during the COVID period)! Then we were informed that it was by appointment only, which was good because I had an appointment. We were also told it wasn't possible to try them on... In short, I don't recommend it.

Their reputation speaks for itself. Been coming here since I was 14/15. Back then they were across the street and used to let us come in and marvel at the collection all we wanted. I still go here if I want to treat myself to a more unique/exclusive pair of shoes. Some of the rules have changed since then but the people haven’t. Making an appointment takes less time than ordering a cup of coffee. Online store is the tip or the iceberg. Def have to shop in person.

I came in to purchase some shoes today and ended up going with the Jordan 3 cements and when I get home to pull shoe out of box there is dirt and looks like someone wore the shoe before. To my knowledge they say no try ons at the store so clearly that wasn’t the case so someone had to of had this shoe on before there is even a mark on the back that looks like a scuff. I can’t get ahold of anyone I’ve sent emails and messages on every social media platform. I just want this resolved. I wouldn’t mind buying used shoes if I was told it was used and the price reflects that but can’t sell me a used shoe for new price

Would not send my worst enemy to this store. The customer service was nonexistent, very unfriendly and unprofessional. Making an appointment to shop is a hassle and the woman working there was rude when trying to follow the rules (as the owner said in response to another review - clearly he has no customer service skills as well). If you want people to spend their hard earned money on your products you’d think at the very least you’d treat them well and with respect. I was shocked by the shopping experience and even more shocked at the owners responses to others who have left less than 5 star reviews. Don’t shop here!!!!!!!

Walked by saw what I wanted to purchase, noticed you had to make a reservation. Lol for being in a non busy location poor business move tbh. Wanted to buy a few pairs. Most likely overpriced with an ego like that. Lol I even tried to make a reservation but you can't make same day. Stockx has the same shoes cheaper just do that.

Thanks to MAJOR DC for shipping out my order so promptly. I received my as expected Timberland boots order super fast after ordering. Great price as well! Only took a few days to get to me. I appreciate the quick delivery and look forward to buying more from and visiting MAJOR when I go to Georgetown the next time I'm in town.

These mofos are shady as hell. First of all, they over charge. Second of all, they are happy to extort customers on hype and limited releases. This has unfortunately been the case for almost 20 years. And their selection isn't even all that great outside of hype releases.

Great store. Everyone was very helpful. They said it was by appointment only but let me in anyway since no one was in store at the time. Very good prices on Jordan 1s. Let me know all their exchange return police's up front. Great experience.

Do not buy from them!!! I bought someone Yeezys for a Christmas gift. I got the size that they recommended. My wife tried them on at Christmas and they are too small. Contacted Major and they aren't willing to trade for the correct size. So now I'm stuck with some $230 shoes that she can't even wear. And now it's sad that I have to hope that I can sell them and of course I'll be losing out on money. I tried to support them as this was my 2nd pair of Yeezys from there. Never again and I suggest you don't either. And look at their sorry response. Awful customer service. Actually they don't posses customer service as you can see with a 2 star status. Don't patronize them. Get them out of our city, they don't belong.

MajorDC posted on Instagram the they had the YEEZY DSRT BOOT in store. I could not get there right away, but I found a time in the middle of my busy day to make it work. I called to make sure they were still available, and they said they were. When I showed up, they told me they were charging $250: $50 or 20% over retail. They did not indicate this on IG or over the phone. I did not get them and they wasted my time. When I criticized them on Instagram for charging significantly over retail, they blocked me. This is a retailer engaging in unscrupulous, deceptive, and selfish tactics. Do not waste your time with them or support them.

For the sneaker heads, sneaker freaks. Tons of colors, air jordans, retro classics. Mostly men shoes, though they also sell boy/kid sizes (for smaller feet). Expect to pay higher prices for the unique styles. I wish more of these styles came in women's, but that's a dream for the entire sneaker world. One can dream! You have to wait to get assistance because this is such a tiny shop. But the owners know their wares and seem to have a loyal customer base.

Stay away at all costs. Employees are very rude and not helpful. This is the type of place that just wants a quick buck, they do not care about the customer and customer satisfaction. The entire interaction was rushed. Simple things like trying on both shoes to ensure proper fit were difficult. If you have any problems or concerns with your purchase you are out of luck because this place does not care! I should have listened to other reviews, stay away.

You move to another location thinking you might avoid the other locations reviews? ALL of the reviews before are true about this place. I wanted to buy from you but the customer service and the up charging beyond retail just feels wrong to me. I feel even worse for people that stand in line to buy shoes from your store and get up charged above retail. To all the people reading other reviews. It's true, this place charges above retail and thinks it cool to take advantage because they have heat to sell. I would rather go buy on Stockx or GOAT before I patron a place like this. Not coming back, never buying from you. If you're looking for reviews of this place, please don't support them. Buy from Ubiq down the street or Kickkzspot.

I brought my son here a couple of months ago. We made an appointment we had the store to ourselves. We bought a bunch of shoes. We had a great time. I highly recommend it. Prices were great and everyone was really friendly.

The owners are great people and are very professional despite other reports. Most people are mad over not being able to return or exchange products but it makes sense. They very clearly state their rules and if you can't follow them that's your fault. They do a great job on shoe releases and keep a high selection of shoes in the store. The reservations make sense due to Covid restrictions and issues and anyone mad at that or the policy is just being stubborn

All I can say is this....they have great selection of shoes and hats. The owner and team are rude. I get the reservation policy because of Covid. People come to Georgetown to shop not deal with rude employees. If this store was in the hood they wouldn't get away with this negativity....

This place is bizarre and rude. I don't wanted to buy a pair of shoes I'd spotted in the window. I was wearing heels. I was allowed to try on the left shoe but not the right. When I asked why he said it was because they want them to be even. That's awesome ridiculous. How can I tell whether a pair of shoes actually fits until I'm able to walk in them on both feet. I will never give them my business and tell anyone else who shops for shoes to avoid like the plague. . Also, the shoes I wanted are $20 cheaper online. Not sure what I misquoted, I wasn't asking to walk around just wanted to see how I looked in them as a pair, like literally every other shoe store I've ever been in. I'm so happy to spend my money anywhere else.

I bought 5 pairs of shoes for my kids for Christmas, as well as hats and shirts. I spent thousands of dollars. One pair of shoes wasn't what my son wanted, and I went in to trade in as they were 300 dollars. I brought them in to exchange them and brought them in in the original box and unworn, and was told I couldn't exchange due to to one scratch on outside of box, and that I would have had to come in the day after Christmas. It's Covid and kids are all home. They are rude and completely unprofessional and inflexible. Not going in again, which is sad because I would have otherwise.

They deserve no stars. They are beyond rude. And you can take a look at my reviews, they're generally good reviews. I called to ask if they had a specific pair of sneakers in the store. Literally that's all. And he just said no and hung up on me. I was going to ask something else but I barely got to ask him my first question so yeah, I don't understand. Anyways it really made me upset and then just sad, I never understood why people get into the business of people, if they don't like people. Oh well won't be spending money here.

As exposed by the rest of the reviews here on Yelp, Major is lacking in customer service and their inelegant effort to make an extra dollar on general release sneakers is deplorable. Having been to their original location (which was right across the street) I already expected hiked up prices but I decided to check out their new store anyway, as I was in the area. My mindset going in was that if they had anything unique that interested me, I would have no problem spending a little over retail and giving them my business. That feeling didn't last very long into my brief venture there. Seeing as though they had some Nike skateboarding-esque style sneakers, I asked a young asian woman working there if they would be receiving the Nike SB Parra Dunks which would be releasing the following day. She tells me she must ask another employee because she doesn't know. While waiting to hear back from her I look around and find a couple pairs of sneakers that mildly intrigued me. Unfortunately nowhere on the display shoes could I find a price tag. This turned me off from wanting to inquire about them, knowing how they can be unreasonable with prices there. The young woman who I asked about the SB Dunks disappeared but there appeared a young asian man behind the counter. I go up to him and ask the same question. He scoffs at me, and in a tone replies, "We're not a skate shop" WELL no s***. Good luck competing with amazing, legit stores like UBIQ just down the street with that kind of customer care. As far as the legality of their prices, it's possible their contracts state that the MSRP of a product is simply a suggestion. Their claim that they're hiking prices to prevent reselling is absolutely fake news. Based on other reviews their main customers seem to be friends of the owners and I'm willing to bet they're all resellers. Even if that weren't the case, what good is hiking the price of their products to ~resell prices~ if that's what they're trying to prevent. There's no logical conclusion other than them simply being greedy and wanting an additional cut of what their resellers are gonna make. 90% of their merchandise can be purchased at a much better price on StockX, but if you're the type of person who likes to see and feel the shoes before buying them, check these guys out before going on StockX as they'll give some good ideas of what to buy. This unfair shop doesn't deserve your business.

So here's the thing, sneaker shops are far and few out here in the DMV. I've been to 3 or 4 releases at their shop and have consistently experienced the same problems: 1. Resellers - This shop does nothing to stop these toxic people. Always the same groups of guys leaving their chairs out the night before and ONLY buying the smaller sizes (as they have more resell value). That problem is not exclusive to this store, but the issue is their lack of enforcing store rules to end the problem. Examples that other stores do: For special releases, make the buyer wear the shoe out of the store, harder to resell DS. Only allowed to buy the same shoe size that you're wearing. If it can't fit, it's not yours to buy. Hell, or just do raffles and no FCFS, where nobody feels cheated by the resellers who leave their chairs the night before. 2. Sketchy employees - Plain and simple, they have employees who hook up their friends in line and lie about inventory. Boss man, why don't you just keep the sizes behind you? A previous release I needed a 9 or 8.5 (as that's my size and wanted to wear it out the door). The guy two people behind me in the line was texting the dude bringing out the inventory, and even called him asking what sizes there were and that he needed a 9 or 8.5. I get inside and the employee says they don't have anymore. I say I'm pretty sure I heard outside there are still some more left, and what do you know? There "magically" was an 8.5 now. Get rid of these kids, or get in charge of your own business, your customers are literally waiting in line for your own employees to backdoor pairs right in front of us. 3. Inflated prices - This one is the first store I've ever seen have the audacity to do this. On big releases they'll jack up the price of the shoes to make some extra profit. Example: Today was the Air Jordan 1 "Couture" release. Retail was $175. How much were they at Major? $220. What was the excuse? To "stop resellers"....that the owners wife claimed took all the most profitable reselling sizes up front of the line. So you're now left just charging everyone else more, the people who actually want shoes? Okay. Makes sense. 4. Poor communication/business ethics - That said above leads me to this one, poor communication. They do not EVER disclose the inflated prices before-hand. When do you find out? After you wait hours in the cold, the moment you get to the register. They basically refuse to take inquiries and are never transparent. Plan on waiting for a sneaker release? Just stay home. They open later than every other sneaker shop, and don't even start helping a little early on big releases, you will be waiting until 11 on the dot, and not a minute earlier. We're already waiting 3-4 hours or more, why not get there a little earlier and help get your line moving so we can all go home? I'll tell you why, because they care more about the "supreme" effect of having a long line for hours so they seem like a bigger store than they are. Poor business ethics if you value looks over customer satisfaction. In summary, Major has potential, it's small and I do believe they might have some good intentions for the sneaker community, but they're disconnected with the reality of how their customers feel, and are surrounded with employees who are dishonest and backdoor right in front of you. You have a lot to work on, and I truly hope you take this feedback constructively. As of right now though, to any potential customer, your time is better served elsewhere. If you do come, prepare to pay more than retail, and likely not even get a size you wear because the size 14 resellers who left their chairs out the day before are going to take your size right in front of you after 4 hours of waiting so they can make $40 of profit. This shop doesn't do a single thing for genuine sneaker heads, I hope that changes.

Ordered online. Shoes were shipped quickly, and in pristine condition! Amazing experience!!!

I will never spend another dollar at this sneaker boutique after my recent purchase. I was on the hunt for an Adidas shoe that was a general release but had since sold out in my size online since it's release date two weeks ago. MAJOR had the shoe and up-charged it by $30! I asked why the online price was $10 less, the floor staff then went on to tell me they had one price for in-store and another for online. (BOGUS!) So I asked to try on the shoe and was given a hard time along with a lecture as to why there's a trend of resellers now and blah blah blah. The floor staff then said I could try it on BUT should pay for it first. If it didn't fit or if I didn't like it on-foot basically a sale would still be made. Did I mention there's NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. All sales are FINAL. The Customer Service is terrible and those that frequent here come for the hype.

-5 stars! STAY AWAY!!! Went today to pick up the Adidas Boost uncaged for my 2 sons and myself. We were told by the owner "$245 each". I told her I saw online the msrp was $180 and showed her Champs webpage on my phone. She replied "We follow Adidas website. It's $245! You go to Champs!" I thought about pulling up the Adidas web page but at this point I wasn't going to buy anything from her! The next customer asked for the Jordan 8 Champagne and was told $600!!! I will be calling both the Nike and Adidas account managers.

Best sneaker head spot in DC. Gets most new release Jordans, Addidas, etc. Great custom DC gear, made with quality. Always has something in there and when I buy a group of shoes, they're nice enough to throw in some laces. Love these guys and love discussing upcoming releases with 'em. I'll be/am a regular here!!

I never usually leave yelp reviews, but my experience with MAJOR on Saturday (2/23) has inclined me to do so. I do not have a problem with people trying to resell. While I disagree with the owner and employees clearly hooking up their friends, this also doesn't bother me if at the very least I can get a pair in my size. Here is what gets me. MAJOR will charge you MORE than the retail price of certain shoes. I wanted a size 11 of the new Air Jordan 1 "Coutures". This is not a size that typically "resells", either way I waited in line for about 2-3 hours hoping I could pick up my size and wear that day. I finally get into the store after it started to rain and wouldn't you know it, they're charging $220 for a $175 shoe. This is an absolute slap in the face to the DMV sneaker community. This wouldn't be a problem if they would let you know ahead of time. If you try to ask about price or sizes before hand, they'll refuse claiming its to stop resellers. MAJOR will let you line up, wait for hours, and try to rip off true sneakerheads right at the register. They might claim this is all to stop resellers, but there are PLENTY of other methods that don't include them ripping off the community. With sneaker shops so limited in the DMV, it's sad to see. You're better off giving your business to UBIQ until MAJOR addresses this serious issue.

Walked into the store today. A sign out front said open and the door was of course open. I went in, immediately had an employee ask if I have an appointment to which I said no but told her it says youre open out front. She was rude the entire time, didn't even try to be cordial or nice about any thing. I went outside, she followed and said see it says appointment only and pointed to a small handwritten note on their door that I hadn't noticed as it was covered in multiple other signs. It was easy to miss. Ok, fine my bad but she was Incredibly unprofessional regardless. I also wouldn't have a problem with it if google didn't have an update from the owner that said they are accepting walk ins on Fridays and Saturdays. Also I wouldn't have a problem if there was anyone else in the store but it was empty. I had enjoyed coming here pre covid but I will not be returning after this.

The spot is not closed it just moved to a spot across the street. I've never been there before today. I called up there to see if they had a certain pair shoes and a guy answered the phone and told me yes. I showed up about an hour later I asked for the shoes in my size he gave it to me I paid for it and I left. Transaction could not have been smoother

I tagged along with the boyfriend yesterday to check out this street wear shop. He seemed pretty impressed with the selection & the prices. They had a lot of t-shirts & shoes. All I could think about was how small & cramped the shop was & how stuff was just packed onto racks & tables. Clearly upon a look to the back was cardboard boxes, which I'm sure was more merchandise with no home. Because of the design, I saw how it was necessary to have 2 workers in there. Someone could very easily make out with merchandise. My boyfriend was pleased, so that's all that matters. :D

Major is my favorite sneaker shop. It features a well catered selection of new sneakers. I love that I can always find something unique without resorting to exorbitant consignment (Flight Club).

You will not find better in Wash D.C. because DC has a pathetic amount of sneaker shops Store used to be nice but they up-charge way too much and its just not worth it to me anymore

I live with a guy who has a major shoe collection. The Nike's he bought in 1997 (!) are still wearable and immaculate and not a month goes by that he's not coveting a new pair. We were both pretty excited when Major opened with a slew of other shoe/urban stores in the District. Major deeply stocks Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Alife, and a handful of other shoe brands, as well as an equally deep stock of urban (and largely brightly-hued) sweatshirts, t-shirts, and baseball caps. What I don't love about Major is the major crowding the store has undergone since its opening. The chic-and-sparse stock (seen in the accompanying Yelp review photos) has given way to shoes and clothing crammed tightly on and in every clear surface in the store. I used to think the unsightly cardboard boxes and haphazard back of the store was me visiting when they just received a shipment. It's clear, however, that the store is always askew like that these days. There may be more to see, but it's not easy to shop. Maybe the Georgetown location (and rent!) necessitates quantity over quality, and I will credit the guys working at Major with knowing their stock (they can, for example, tell you they had a specific selection of gloves in but are sold out) but end up highly indifferent about helping you locate a special item, or knowing when that item might come back into stock. I prefer to hit up Commonwealth where the staff is nicer, equally knowledgeable, and the selection is well-edited and not crammed into a tiny space.

A local wannabe sneaker head told me that this was the place for sneakers in DC. After visiting this place on two different occasions I've been had, hoodwinked, bamboozled. This place looked like every hood spot you see with a basic at best selection of sneakers no true sneaker head would ever want. No thanks. Major letdown.

Terrible Customer Service. They don't care about the customer, and if your purchase ends up being defective, they turn a blind eye. I'd rather go out of my way NOT to shop here. Very condescending!

Great selection of shoes and exclusive Jordan/Nike accounts are a plus. The store is a mess half the time (inventory they have not put away yet) and the customer service is not as welcoming as Commonwealth. They upcharge like crazy. For example, with the Questloves. Major charged like $260 while Commonwealth charged $225 (retail-like price). Another question for Major is why they start doing raffle auctions for the Air Yeezys? Doesn't that go against their primary mission when they first opened? One upside is the owner is willing to chat if you catch him during the week. He is also willing to show you next season previews of New Era fitteds and other gear they have samples of. The prices are getting higher every year from this place though.

Major is all about one word: selection. Looking through the glass windows you can see custom-built shelves displaying all manner of crazy sneakers, and once you enter the store you discover a back area *literally overflowing* with more shoes. There is no other place in DC with such a massive collection of sneakers, and if you're in Georgetown and looking for some outrageous new kicks, Major is the place to go. TEMPORARY SNEAKERHEAD DIGRESSION: Although personally I like Commonwealth better because they have lower prices and friendlier employees, Major definitely beats them on selection. Major is the only DC account to carry The Hundreds, HUF SF, Lemar and Dauley, and many other labels you constantly read about on the blogs. Moreover, they release their own New Eras about one-per-month, including exclusive (and very well-designed) Washington Nats hats, design tons of DC-exclusive stuff, and even collaborate on designs with brands like Nike and Adidas (see the very cool Major DC X Adidas ZX-600's). /end sneakerhead digression. I would probably actually rate Major closer to 3.5 due to very high prices: some of the items that both Major and Commonwealth carry are up to $15 more at Major, but I ended up with 4 stars because of the great selection, the daily-updated blog on their website, and the well-designed store that is a pleasure to look around. Even if the prices are prohibitive, it's still a really fun place to visit. Stay MAJOR!

Terrible service. Staff was rude and wouldnt let me try on what i wanted. Also had to have a photo id to purchase shoes. I wouldnt go back there again.

I went into Major on a whim- I didn't think it was open, as the whole floor was covered with boxes, but the owner called from the back and informed me they were restocking....And what a stock it is: knowledge, orisue, freshjive, DC, nike, puma, adidas- any progressive/innovative independent or corporate company and they've got it... I had a great conversation with the owner- young, intelligent fellow- about the pros and cons of NikeID's new dunk high program and found him knowledgeable and passionate. I might have to disagree with a previous comment about the patrons of the shop- I thought everyone who entered truly appreciated the ideals of the store. Put Major on your holiday shopping list...

For fans of Karmaloop and SF's Villains, this is about the closest thing we have in DC sneaker-wise (Admittedly I haven't yet checked out District 51). Unfortunately, because of its location, the clientele is your typical Georgetown collar popper that just recently discovered BET. My advice: bring an iPod to drown out the loudmouthed suburban poseurs desperately trying to draw from their top 40 listening background to sound hip-hop, and enjoy DC's best selection of kicks. You can thank me for the advice later.

Deceptive staff. They told all about 20 of us standing in line to come back at 2 when they would open sales to public about 7 of us waited like any person vulnerable to a person telling them the truthBut everyone of us were lied to. We stood out there from 1200 to 2 pm when they came out there didn't offer to say a word. I asked so you do have shoes left. Same man that told us to wait switched the scrip looked at me straight in my eyes like he was staring straight through me and said he didn't say that about those shoes and there were no more left. Well if their intention was to disappoint future customers they achieved it. Everyone of us expressed our disappointment and pointed out what he said. So just like a thief that comes to steal. That's what I felt like this company did to each one of us. So if anyone ever mentions MAJOR. I'm going to say insignificant and extremely poor customer service with a lot of deception. MAJOR shame on you.!!!

I had a great experience at this store! I went in and tried on some Reeboks that I really liked. They usually don't allow try-ons for that specific model but they allowed me to try on one side. It felt fine in-store and so I bought them. When I got home, I realized the shoes were a size too large and I rushed back to Major. The employees were very kind in overlooking the "all sales final" policy since i had just been there 15 minutes prior. They helped me pick out a new shoe that they had in a smaller size. I am very happy with the Air Force Ones I ended up getting. Super thankful for their understanding and humane customer service and very cool assortment of shoes. Would definitely recommend!

I went to this store when the yeezy boost 350 turtledoves dropped a few months ago to see if I could snag a pair. The employee told me they were all sold out, but then asked me how bad i wanted them. When I responded I wanted them badly, he asked if I "wanted them $900 bad." I laughed and walked out of the store. No retail store should be more than quadrupling the price (the shoes retailed at $200) of their goods. It's a crime, no matter how valuable those shoes are on the after-sale market. If he wasn't an employee of the store, the store shouldn't have let him represent himself as such. Won't be returning and don't recommend anyone else patron a store that price gouges like this.

Great selection, prices, and staff. On a random trip to DC, I thought I check this spot out and glad I did. Picked up a couple of dope tees and a great price.

The ONLY hot spot for sneakers in DMV. In this area kicks are a must. Exclusives are always available. Spend some money there don't take up space window shopping. Staff will help but don't just walk in asking if they have the whatever J's and then don't buy! They got em,now pay and keep it movin!

Great selection and the exclusive carrier in DC of many limited release items. The employees are super knowledgeable about shoes and more than happy to help you find what you're looking for. I'll definitely ve shopping here again.

I called in about the Yeezy Wave Runners to ask about the size before the release (I'm a girl so I wear size 6). A lady picks up and says all the information is online and hangs up on me. They are beyond rude and pay for their Instagram followers. Don't support businesses that can't respect their consumers.

**They claim 14 pairs of shoes were lost (of 500), and are forcing me to go in to get my money back...3 trips to this establishment is 3 too many (one to place the order, one to pick up my order even though my shoes weren't there to begin with...LIARS, and one to get my money back). Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. The woman in the shop is a terrible person who has no idea how to run a business. These people are AWFUL and so is their store** I was so excited to order a pair of the Washington Capitals shoes from here, I took a Saturday to go in and place the order. Placing the order was painless enough except for since it was a men's shoe it would have been nice if there were similar models to try on so I wasn't blindly picking the size as a female. Fast forward to Friday, I received a call saying that my shoes had finally come in. I had asked on the day I ordered them if they would hold them until I was able to pick them up which wasn't until Monday after work. They said it wasn't a problem and that my shoes would be waiting for me whenever I could get there. Well, I show up to get my shoes on Monday and THEY ARE NOT THERE! Seeing as I preordered these I was pretty upset that I took the time to get to Georgetown after work to pick them up. I asked why they weren't there and the lady gave some lame excuse saying a shipment of the shoes are lost and they don't know when they will be coming in. She then stated the reason she didn't call me was because she thought they would have them in the next day (Saturday) which they did not but still NO PHONE CALL. All would be fine and dandy if she had taken 30 seconds to pick up the phone to tell me that they were delayed so I didn't waste my evening commuting to Georgetown for shoes that don't yet exist. She told me 3 of us had ordered the same size but only one pair of that size made it to the store so it was first come, first served. Also fine and fair, but then you need to pick up this novel invention called a telephone and let the other 2 of us know that ours are delayed. It's a simple fix to a simple problem but the store's customer service was so bad I will NEVER be shopping here again. For my inconvenience I asked that they ship them to my house when they arrive and she wouldn't even do that because the store would have to pay for shipping, well I had to pay to get down there for nothing so seems fair they should make up their mistake and pay the few dollar shipping fee to satisfy the customer and for wasting my time! All she offered was to give me my money back and cancel my order for the shoes, which I know I should have done because this rip off of a place doesn't deserve my money but I've been looking forward to these shoes so I said no. I will be calling every day now to check on the shoes because these people obviously are not competent enough to pick up the phone themselves and do the right thing.

DC finally gets a sneakerhead shop! The location isn't in the ideal center of georgetown, but it's worth the extra trek up wisconsin past the fake versace shops to get to Major. They don't have a big sign on the shop so check for their logo on the door. Nice selection of old school and limited edition nike's, etc.

My hus is a huge sneakerhead, so we can't come within 5 miles of this place without visiting. Major is a vibrant store with shelves of sneakers, clothing, and some sports-related paraphernalia. They have a great selection of colorful sneakers that would make people take notice of your feet. The staff is somewhat friendly, and probably won't be bugging you every 5 minutes or anything. The whole place is pretty laid back and worth a visit if you're in search of some unique kicks.

Solid spot for sneakers, streetwear, and accessories. Small setup, but has nice selection of various brands. Decent pricing on merchandise. Was able to get my hands on a number of "hard to get" sneakers on release day. One of the few spots I always check for while in Georgetown...

Good spot but the consignment shop next to them has a better selection. Although, they do get premium releases.

Major definitely has a great selection of sneakers and streetwear, but as far as their store goes, it's more like a warehouse than a boutique. There's just boxes, and boxes everywhere. It's definitely a departure from surgically clean boutiques like HUF in San Fran and Undefeated in LA, but that doesn't mean that MAJOR doesn't carry the top tier credentials from Nike and Adidas. As far as clothing goes, they could probably do a better job selecting some of the pieces in their collection, but my tastes are a little more mature than others. In addition to being the only boutique in DC that carries the HUF collection, they stock a ton of stuff from the Hundreds every season. I also have to give them props for their in house New Era program too. Service is hit or miss, but if you're a sneakerhead everybody always seems willing to talk shop. If you're on the hunt for shoes, support a local business and hit Major.

A good sneaker spot in DC with decent street wear. Major has a top notch selection in foot wear with out any doubt scoring some of Nike, Reebox, Adidas, DC Shoes best releases as well as having a full on Jordan account. Nice clean layout as well, defiantly worth checking out.
