Makarios On Sea

Our stay was as always excellent! The view is priceless! Everything was perfect and I would really recommend Makarios to anybody. Antoinette also allowed me to invite my children to join us for a braai. Thank you for your hospitality Antoinette!

We really had a wonderful time staying at your place. Just a few things needed to be done specially the toiletries (Soap, shampoo should be a better quality). Towel should be place on some higher rack. Because of insects and bugs. ||||Please don't use my name and email address for this post.

We spent a few days in the Dolphin suite at this establishment. It was our 4th return and we really enjoyed it. The facilities were very clean, reception by Antoinette was excellent and very friendly. Everything work well (we did battle with the canister of the one plate gas stove during load shedding. Perhaps leave it in the stove). As there is a solar back up system in place lights, fridge etc all worked. Only stove and oven not on solar system. Enjoyed the outside sitting area to watch the sea and the sun setting over the bay. Will definitely return.

We had a wonderful time at Makarios, being soothed to sleep by the sound of the waves and awakened in the morning by the sun’s rays over the bay. A wonderful slice of God’s beautiful creation!

This is the perfect seaside place right next to the ocean in Herolds Bay. Expect comfortable, spacious interiors, panoramic sea views and safe parking. Within 25m of the ocean! All the required facilities were appreciated – a braai on the patio, a large fridge/ freezer, inverters (no load shedding!), dishwasher, DSTV, cleaning service, etc. Antoinette gave us excellent service – thank you! Ideal as a show stopper space in Herolds Bay.

The best place to rewind. Neat and clean spacious rooms with the best view. Walk out your roo.m and you re at the sea. Antoinette is a excellent host with her hand on everything.. Thank you, 😊

We stayed in the Seagull Suite for 5 nights and it was amazing !!|As part of my husbands 60th Birthday present, we had spent 4 nights in Cape Town, 4 Nights at the Garden Route Game lodge(which was also amazing) and we decided for the last leg of our adventure we wanted to relax at the beach....we were not disappointed.|As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Antoinette the owner of the property, what an amazing lady she is, so welcoming and helpful, she quickly showed us around the apartment and let us check in early.|The apartment is well appointed and has everything that you need and has wonderful views of the beautiful beach and the ocean from every room, everywhere was spotlessly clean, thanks to Cynthia.|You could not be any closer to the beach if you tried, you step out of the apartment across a tiny access road and you are straight onto the pristine Blue Flag Beach.|There is a tidal poll for those that are not to adventurous to play in the roaring surf, and there were lifeguards on had too.|There were beach chairs, sun/beach umbrellas, bodyboards, bat and ball sets, and other beach toys in the garage that we were free to use while staying there|Falling asleep to the roar of the ocean was beautiful and it was a perfect end to our South African Adventure.|Once again, a massive THANK YOU Antoinette, you are a super star and i hope we are able to visit you again in the future.||Much love to you and Cynthia||Heather and Steve xxx

One of the best holiday destinations and self catering gems I have ever encountered. Me and my family has a bliss at Makarios on Sea and the constant sound of the sea lingering at your eyes is a sweet humming melody that you hear 24/7 it was so relaxing and it’s a destination one needs especially if you looking to give your mind, body and soul the complete rest it needs. I highly recommend. The manager of the place is also amazing and all the amenities just makes the experience more thrilling.
