Everything is SO good! The honey dipped chicken is amazing! Big portions and extremely friendly service. Brian is my favorite ❤️ he is wonderful!!! He is a natural in the hospitality department. A definite “must eat” on Moloka’i !!! 😋

Google
Would highly recommend the plates. The burgers had good flavoring but were tiny such that the bun overwhelmed the meat.

Google
Great and friendly works and welcoming aloha. Food was fast and delicious 😋 got cone beef 🥩 hash, over easy eggs and side bacon 🥓. Will be back for sure. 👍🏽

I ended up here on a work trip and loved it. Go see Lani and say hello, and if you're lucky you'll get to see her great smile. Get yourself some food while you're there. The breakfast wrap was super yummy as was the fish burger.

Google
My favorite place we got food out in Molokai, Maka’s Korner has the trifecta of things I look for in a meal when traveling: delicious food, low prices, and conversations with locals. It’s a counter service spot with solely outdoor seating, and we got to have several conversations with people from the island while eating there. The breakfast sandwich was one of the best I’ve had, and the burgers looked good too, but I would probably stick with the sandwiches and not get the plates because it seems like a much better value. Definitely a place you should give a chance if you’re visiting Molokai, you might make a few friends!

Google
I ordered Kalbi plate, I was served a bunch of short rib bones without much meat. What meat there was, tasted good, but I felt robbed for the cost of the plate. Rice and Mac salad was mediocre and flavorless. My son wanted a side of fries, which took around 45 minutes to complete. It wasn’t busy, the chef was outside downing a cigarette. I will never go back here again.

Google
Tasty meal on the go. The beer battered fish n chips, the special of the day was tasty and cooked just right. I will be back to try out the other dishes they have. The staff is friendly and quickly cooked our meals even though it was a busy time of the day.

Google
Great breakfast spot and easy to order right at the window. Food was great and good prices.

Yelp
This is a great, no non-sense-style food spot in Moloka'i! Food is traditional diner-style Hawaiian. Think plate lunches, loco moco, teriyaki, burgers, that sort of thing. You order at a window and either take the food outside or take it to the beach! Prices are shockingly reasonable. You can't get this much food for this little money at many places nowadays.

Yelp
We've been to molokai a bunch of times and don't know why we never stopped at Maka's Corner. Thee food here is awesome. Our order: two hamburger steaks, double cheese burger, teri burger, 2 fries, and a teri pork and Korean fried chicken wings plate. I had the combo plate, the teri pork was soft with a great sweet teri sauce, the wings had a great crunch and moist inside with a nice touch of a teri style Korean sauce. You can combo any two items on their menu. I've heard their popular item is there honey dipped fried chicken, unfortunately they were out when we went. It's a take out window with some outdoor seating. We just beat the rush so our food came out pretty quick. Glad we arrived before another 6 plus people right after us, cause I was hunngggrrrreeeeehhhhh Haha. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Yelp
The Korean chicken is amazing! The Mac salad is not so good, and neither is the grilled cheese. Went for breakfast and due to shipping issues they are out of eggs, guess they can't buy local! For Breakfast, I ended up getting Korean chicken and got wife some pancakes, and crispy bacon that was far from crispy! Service was great the first time, very nice gentleman who gave good advice on the menu. Second time the service was horrible, some Tattoed woman, with a solid black sleeve was nothing but attitude and snippy at every question!!

Yelp
Growing up on Moloka'i we didn't have that many food places to eat out. I haven't visited home regularly/frequently up until 3 years ago so seeing more different places/options to eat is a plus. I always order their bbq chicken salad with house dressing when I fly home for work and I'm never disappointed. It's a decent sized salad, the lettuce is fresh and crisp, and the bbq chicken and house dressing are tasty. It's too bad that I only fly home once/twice a month so I always joke that's the only time I eat healthy . As far as service, we usually order ahead for take out (which I recommend) and it's always ready when we pick it up.

Yelp
It was our first stop for food as it was closest walk to our car park....lol. Order at the window and sit at the concrete sidewalk tables to eat. It is in town so no view but we were so hungry after the flight we didn't care. Service was friendly and we enjoyed talking to the gal who took our orders. Iced tea and water were available, and we bought lattes from the coffee shop just around the corner. The egg sandwich was good, but the wedges were amazing! Crunchy seasoned outside and fluffy inside...OMG... the ultimate wedge. Flies were a problem and the tables weren't clean so a star off. But I would definitely return for the wedges ;)

Yelp
Landed early so had a couple hours to check in and we were starving. Molokai is a small island and this spot is totally a place that is frequented by the locals. They were nice enough, but not overly to us tourists. Sadly they were out of Mahi Mahi, so we ordered a Loco moco and a chicken teriyaki salad. Loco moco is rices, topped with two hamburger patties topped with two fried or scrambled eggs topped with gravy. This is a walk up and order with some sit down tables with an umbrella. Food was in abundance. I ended up taken back to the condo, because we knew we weren't coming back as most places close early. Normally I have some issues with beef. Not this time. Not fatty, not overly salted and my system loved me. Will probably head back on our way out.

Yelp
Aloha! The spirit in the Teri Pork Plate & tsunami Fries will amaze you. This is easily the BEST food on the Island of Molokai'i!! The team will amaze you with their kindness. The atmosphere and ambiance is old school Hawaiian. Mahalo Maka's Korner. You rock out.

Yelp
I think this restaurant might have the best kalbi on the island. Still pretty "saucy" after being cooked (I prefer kalbi this way). The wraps are a pretty good size and I think they might have the best loco moco. Can be a bit of a wait when it gets busy.

Yelp
Gravy burger with Mac salad was cash only but service was super nice ...I wish I bought two since I had to share
google avatar

Robert A.

Yelp
I love the Loco Moco. They are open seven days a week. All their food is delicious and all local flavor. I'll keep coming back.
google avatar

Kimo K.

Yelp
Actual Price $5 more than listed for loco moco . $13.50 plus $1 credit card fee. Hard to mess up rice 2 paddies beef gravy eggs. Gravy thin compared to Rainbow Drive-in but nothing compares to Rainbow famous gravy... but its Bideninflation and nothing cheap on this island. Locals trying to buy back island ranch from Billionaire Songaporean Chinese ... So locals meet have breakfast talk story with outdoor seating plenty and shaded nice clean tables where you can wave to everybody pass by. Need get rid of flies and plant some flowers and needs some Hawaiian slack key music for atmosphere.

Yelp
Delicious thank you. We had the Kalbi plate, Teri pork wrap and hamburger sandwich with Onion Rings.

Cori W.

Yelp
Went here for lunch and we are going back for breakfast. We got the hamburger steak plate and kalbi plate. So good! The employees are so friendly and helpful. We ate our food there on the little tables outside. Nice relaxing area to eat. It was perfect for us.

Yelp
We discovered this tiny place while searching for food before our flight back to Oahu and we were NOT disappointed. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and came out quick. It seems to be a two woman joint and they are all business. We ordered the saimin, the gravy burger, Teri cheese burger, onion rings, and our friends had a couple of the wraps. The saimin was pretty standard, but still tasty. I expected the gravy burger to be similar to those found in Hilo, but this one was open faced, smothered in gravy, and a huge delicious mess. The Teri burger was tasty, and the patty was home made and crispy. Highly recommend this place for a quick lunch!
google avatar

Lee D.

Yelp
This is totally your local kine grindz plate lunch type of place. Nothing fancy, but good basic local comfort food that is freshly prepared and tasty. I had the breakfast wrap and I have to say, the looks didn't match the tasty. When I first opened up the wrapper, it was uninviting, but once I bit into it, it was blissfully delirious. There was a lot going on inside and every about it was in total disguise by the plain looking tortilla wrapper. My partner had the double cheese burger. Same thing, it didn't look like much, but it was supper tasty. Something about the seasoning made it so delicious. It's all about the food here, so don't go there expecting cloth napkins. Go and enjoy some tasty freshly made local style comfort food.
google avatar

Yelp
Their chicken cutlet is ono. Pack on the gravy! Yasss!!! Their Mac salad is bomb as well. Add a Diet Pepsi & you're good to go!

Yelp
Loved this place, food was good and service was friendly. Molokai is an evolving story, but Marla's Corner was a great place to hang out and did feel like the "friendly island".

Yelp
Came in here for a quick breaky. Cute little breakfast/plate lunch spot. Plenty outdoor seating. Service is fast. Accepts credit cards and debit cards. Plenty of parking.

Yelp
Came here one night looking for dinner. As we are standing by the order window, the girl takes the order from a local woman that was right behind us and then proceeds to walk away. Zero acknowledgement that we even exist. We wait. We wait more. The girl carries out a big order to a car nearby, then goes and sits at one of the tables with her friends, completely ignoring us. At this point we just walked away. Terrible.

Yelp
Started our vacation here Hands down the best bacon on the island It was delicious Loved the vibes Akon/usher/migos/ and drake Didn't expect that on this small island but I loved it
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
The service here is like a Hawaiian version of Brooklyn joint. All business. Whaddya want? Here you go. Now get out. Plus the atmosphere Is like Mars, in that there is none. But do you care? No you do not. Because the food is so. Damn. Good. I got the Teri Hamburger - a burger drenched in teriyaki sauce. Wife got a grilled cheese sandwich and said it was the best in her life. We split an onion rings. They were perfect. This is where the locals eat. So stop taking your IG photos, haole. Just eat and enjoy.

Yelp
We were so lucky to stumble upon this place at the right time! Didn't have much expectations initially but it quickly became our go-to brunch place for takeout. We'd always get our meals packed from this place before hitting the beach. Fried egg sandwich, chicken deluxe burger, onion rings, tater tots. We tried a bunch of different things and I was never disappointed. Good and tasty comfort food with quick service.

Yelp
Came for Sunday breakfast. Open at 8am. Seating is outside. We ordered the pancake breakfast and breakfast wrap. Both were good. Staff was friendly. Flies come out as soon food does. Waited less than 10 minutes from the time we ordered. Price was good. Both meals cost $19. Music was very loud and rated X. That was unexpected. Overall good experience. Very popular place on Sundays.

Mei Y.

Yelp
I could not read menu well, so I ordered double bacon mushroom burger for $13.50, fries were extra at $5.75. My boyfriend's chicken Katsu was $12.50. I thought food was expensive and did not taste good. Fries were made with rancid oil and was not edible. All in all, experience at Molakai eateries were sub standard and expensive compared to what you get in Maui. Will not come back to this island again.

Yelp
Friendly folks over here at Maka's Korner. Breakfast lunch and Dinner till 9pm on weekdays and Saturday. Great option if you want to avoid the pricey Grill at Hotel Molokai. Not too many places on the Friendly isle that are open 7-9pm except maybe Molokai Burger and Molokai Pizza. Their burgers and fantastic, breakfast options are swell, plus they have Saimin to offer. Call in ahead so you don't have to wait or walk in, order, then just chill outside on one of the rounded, umbrellas covered benches and enjoy some fresh air. Edit: Still a great place to grab some grub. I personally love the Kalbi and Teri Chicken/Pork plates. Great burgers too.

Yelp
Found this little local eatery on the corner in Kaunakakai, Molokai while visiting from Oahu. The food was "broke da mouth, onolicious" and the prices were comparable. But outstandingly, the service and the aloha shared was priceless! I will definitely be returning when I'm on the island.

Tracy W.

Yelp
They have improved since our last visit. We went early so we can have our food on a clean grill and clean deep fry oil. The food was much better and they actually have adults running the shop and not little kids with flat semi negative energy that burn the food. Good job on the staff improvement. We love to order the salads but honestly all the food has been good this trip. What a difference a new staff makes. Reasonable prices

Yelp
Service: 3 stars Environment: 3 stars Food: 3 stars Location: 5 stars Conveniently located in downtown, just around the corner of Misaki's and across Kanemitsu Bakery. It's a bit pricey here. We came here for lunch and ordered Loco Moco for $12 and Hamburger Steak Plate for $12. I'm not sure if this is the right way, but the meat for the loco moco was the same meat as the hamburger steak. It's like they called it loco moco because it has a fried egg and gravy on it..? That was a bit disappointing because the meat was thin and wasn't a meat patty like I envisioned. However, I didn't complain because it had 2 fried eggs on it, when at some places there is only 1 egg. Also, the gravy wasn't all that great, and I've had better. The cook was both the lady and the younger girl. Are they certified chefs? Hmm.. not sure. We chose to eat outside because it's quite hot inside with the oven and all the cooking, there's only bar seating in a narrow walkaway where people come in to order and menus are on the wall, so there would be people standing in your way, so I would recommend eating outside. Anyways, there are tons of flies and bugs outside, so it was hard to enjoy our food. So, I would actually recommend getting the food to-go.
google avatar

Rick I.

Yelp
We had the Korean Fried Chicken and the Teri chicken. Food was really good but the place was a bit dusty. Food was fresh and hot.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
I've only been here once but I am definitely impressed after the first time. My boyfriend ordered the loco moco and I decided on the corned beef hash. Both plates were big and delicious. The loco moco patty was soft and seasoned well and the gravy had a sweet note to it which I like over a really salty gravy. The corned beef hash was crisped to perfection. The service was awesome, very welcoming. Only complaint would be price, however, it's expected for Molokai. There are seats outside but all these flies started swarming to us. So, we ended up driving to the pier and eating our meal with a beautiful view.
google avatar

Kaya W.

Yelp
Visiting Molokai we stopped by for breakfast to explore the local offerings. Wish we had explored elsewhere. The service is slow and mediocre food was prepared with bread so stale it was not edible. You can confidently skip this place and know that you haven't missed anything by doing so.
google avatar

Brad K.

Yelp
First place we ate at when we landed on Molokai. It is home cooked, dining outdoor restaurant. Lots of locals get food here and take it home. We had the teriyaki chicken with traditional Hawaiian sides and it was very good.

Kaili Y.

Yelp
This spot has delicious food! My favorite item was the mushroom burger because I have never tasted a mushroom burger that was so yummy! I also had a saimin which was tasty as well. They are located in the middle of town which is a convenient location and serve bomb local favs. If you ever visit Moloka'i I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Karl G.

Yelp
Very friendly service, and they work hard to accommodate what you want to eat. I don't eat red meat anymore so they created a nice chicken and scrambled eggs plate for my breakfast. It was very good comparing to what's available on Molokai for places to eat.
google avatar

Lee Ann R.

Yelp
We went here about 30 minutes before they closed. The menu has a lot of variety. My husband ordered the Kal Bi Plate. They Kal bi and Mac salad not as generous in serving as most places, but the rice was piled very high, there was no way he could eat all the rice. He said the flavor of the Kal bi was good, but very salty, and the Mac salad was okay. I had the mahimahi burger deluxe which was the best mani burger I've ever eaten. It was grilled not fried. Moist, not over cooked and whatever sauce they used was very flavorful. The service was excellent. The price reasonable. Parking is not a problem and there is an outdoor seating area with umbrellas.
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
Strange experience. Orders the saimin for my sick friend - good broth, tasty but nothing special. I ordered a mani mahi burger. This included a soft hamburger bun, a piece of mahi mahi and lots of tarter sauce. Reminded me a lot of the way the old McDonald's dish sandwich tasted. Not bad but not particularly good. The soda fountain drinks were pretty flat and the service was not particularly friendly though not rude either. Should of gone for the movie loco or Teri plate.

Yelp
Maka's is awesome!! There food is fresh and made to order. I've loved everything I've ever ordered from here. It's a cute little corner restaurant with sitting outside. I know the owner and they keep the place very clean and they always have specials daily. Currently they are only open for breakfast and lunch but they are planning on being open for dinner soon. Now to get to the food. My all time favorite here is the Kalbi. I usually just get the mini plate because it's a pretty big serving for lunch but the regular plate of course comes with rice and Mac salad but you can substitute with green salad. The Kalbi is onolicious!!! I also love the onion rings and cheeseburgers. The teriyaki wrap and salad are also good. Reasonably priced!
google avatar

AK H.

Yelp
Very disappointing breakfast for my husband. Frozen fried hash browns, burnt scrambled eggs and sliced canned ham served on a napkin to soak up the grease. I had the curry noodle soup which was better.
google avatar

Monica F.

Yelp
Maka's Corner has some of the best burgers on the island- flavorful, tasty, yummy, and made with care and quality. Friendly service too, by Auntie Maka. You can find this place right next to the Molokai Mini-mart: look for the shade booths and the contented people outside enjoying their hamburgers, mushroom burgers, chicken burgers, mahi burgers, saimin, fries, and cold drinks. A full lunch menu and an inside sit-down counter. Support this local business -they're terrific and we always get the "special" (with lettuce, tomato, and onion) on any of our burgers. The saimin (soup) is especially hearty - a noodle broth of a variety of toppings.

T. S.

Yelp
Came here before closing one night! They were out of spam, so I ordered the locomoco instead! Hamburger patties were delicious! Hit the spot and reasonable prices!
google avatar

Stephen W.

Yelp
Food is pretty basic but good. They have a bunch of different burgers so I tried the Teri-chicken burger. It was good but not spectacular. Quality of chicken was good. Bun was excellent. The wife really enjoyed her Mahi Mahi plate and the sauce that came with it.

Celena F.

Yelp
Ordered the fried saimin. It was more like fried grease with a small side of saimin. Once you get past the gallon of oil the saimin is swimming in, the taste is not terrible. Not worth my $10.
google avatar

Katrina M.

Yelp
Had fried saimin with tempura shrimp. There was an almost $4 upcharge for the shrimp and you get only 2 so I wouldn't recommend it. Also had grilled Mahi Mahi plate for lunch. Nice sized portions, both meals had good flavor. Staff was super friendly and we left full. Nice breeze outside at their tables with shade.
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Delicious!!! My favorite food of our trip so far! We arrived late afternoon and wasn't sure what to order (lots of burger options but we had just had a burger for lunch). Thankfully they serve breakfast all day and breakfast prices are super reasonable. I had the most delicious ham and cheese sandwich for under $5. Downside you do have to pay to have water and pay for ice too, but the prices are still reasonable. It was so far our least expensive meal and in my opinion the most delicious! You order at a counter and eat outside. I definitely plan to return as the food was delicious and service was nice. Mahalo

Yelp
Pretty good place fo grind. During one da kine wedding my peeps and I fo da kine our frens wedding we wen spark out dis place la dat. Brah, was on a Sunday morning when we wen find out bout dis place. Ho cuz, you know why? Cuz frickin' errbody stay clozed in Molokai on Sunday. Dis was one of da spots dat was not ladat. So we was like cheeepono ladat. Anyways, dis one pretty good local place ladat. Get good kine loco moco and odda breakfast stuff ladat like da kine omlette plate, breakfast sandwiches, etc. Small kine pricey but brah homestyle cooking local made that's what's up buuu. When we wen in, had one madda carrying her bebe child while she was working and taking our orders ladat! Chee! Das how! Staff and customer service pretty cherre ladat. Get small kine tables and chairs outside fo grind. Dey also get like lunch stuffs like plate lunch and stuff. Couple blocks from Kanemitsu bakery and odda stores in "Downtown" Molokai.

Ed E.

Yelp
Ate there twice during our most recent two week visit. Had the grilled fish both times, it was excellent.

gerard f.

Yelp
There are few options for eating out on the Island. This little corner restaurant is by far the best, in my opinion. All meals created with care. I opted for the teriyaki pork my husband got the Mahi Mahi. Plenty enough for the reasonable price. Nice outdoor seating too. I would rate the other restaurants we went to, but it would be cruel. Found roaches in one and the option of side in most is white rice and mac salad, with lots of mayonnaise . The one pizza shop in town is fine, if you want to spend 25 dollars on a medium pizza ( which they call large) and a 6 dollar salad with one slice of tomato, one slice of cuke and lettuce..... If you want fresh, healthy and inexpensive, go to Maka's Korner.....skip the rest.
google avatar

Danielle W.

Yelp
Fast friendly service. Sign on door says "Aloha Served Daily" and I found that to be true. I came with my sister and my two keiki. They don't have a "keiki menu" but all of their plate lunches (meat, rice and Mac Salad) come in mini plate size which is perfect for kids. Prices were comparable to all of the other restaurants in the area. My kids choked down on those teriyaki chix mini plates like it was their job. I had myself a cheeseburger which was delicious.... I mean it just melted in my mouth. We ordered inside and sat on the lanai under the umbrellas which is perfect with two kids you can't sit down. We will definitely be coming again during our stay.

Ano N.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat in Kaunakakai I guess. The Mahi Mahi plate is really good. Compared to Paddler's, their prices are decent, you get more food, and it is way faster. You can also eat outside, which is rare in Kaunakakai where most places are indoors; however, the flies are a real inconvenience.
