Maker Pizza Thornhill

We were craving a good pizza and Maker Pizza Thornhill hit that spot. We had Frank’s Best Pizza (large size) which had caramelized onions, goat cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, rosemary, sea salt, and honey with a sesame crust. This pizza was good :). The dough was slightly chewy texture with a crispy sesame crust. As well, the combo of cheeses and caramelized onions worked well together to make this a good pizza.

I loved their pizzas, they come in two sizes and two types of crust. I had a half peperoni half Margherita. It was a little too oily for my taste but nothing off-putting. I preferred the peperoni overall, but if I were to order again I'd go for the half-and-hald as I found it a good balance. Service was great too, and right before we left they even gave us complimentary cookies which was also very good. 🍕🍪

Some of the best pizza in the city. It’s a little expensive but really amazing quality and flavours. Only critique is the white pizza with caramelized onions needs 10x more caramelized onion. Please get the tropical one. From a pineapple on pizza hater, this was so good. And I loved adding the everything bagel crust. Please get the dill ranch and the salsa verde. I would skip the regular garlic and just get 1 spicy garlic because it’s $4 per sauce. Can’t wait to come back and try the margarita pizza.

Love the creativity of toppings! You never run out of options! And I’m glad they have now started to offer thin crust options! I actually prefer the thin crust. Recently tried the Korean fried chicken pizza … I wish the chicken pieces were smaller. It would be easier to eat. The dill ranch sauce and the Korean fried chicken was an interesting combo!

Amazing Pizza with a super spicy 🌶️ The pizza here was incredible—delicious taste, fresh ingredients, and everything was perfect! Just one note: the spicy sauce I ordered on the side was super, super spicy . If you prefer your sauce a bit lighter, you might want to mention it when ordering. Other than that, everything was fantastic! Definitely coming back for more!

I have first tried this at a diff location a few years back and loved it. This location is decent but lacked sauce in the pizza. Ratios between dough, cheese and sauce was not there. Just a bit more sauce would’ve been great! all I tasted was the oil from the cheese and pepperoni. I will still return but will ask to make the adjustments needed. Cookies we’re delicious. Staff was really friendly.

The pizza selections were small for their own pizza creations but jam packed with flavours. You can also have the option to create your own pizza. We got one of their pre-set pizza creations, Napoli Dynamite, 🧨 and it set my taste buds ablaze. Especially since I got their spicy creamy garlic sauce. Just mix it first otherwise the chilli oil won’t let you penetrate the sauce with the pizza. But if you get this sauce, no penetration will happen other than the sauce. We got a spoon from Rachel to mix the sauce up. Rachel is a fantastic employee who has made the ordering and eating-in experience fantastic, which is fantastic. 😃👍🏻 The place itself when you go in, it looks very clean and clinical like a dermatologist’s waiting area.

Maker pizza has become an institution in Toronto and so happy it’s north of the city in thornhill now Pizza was so tasty. Nicely laid out toppings and the pizza had a nice char on the crust as well. But I feel the star of the show is the underdog wings. The wings are a must add on when getting pizza from maker. Nice and crispy and holding all the juice together. Service was great. Person helping explained everything so that we could make the best decision for our meal. Location is minimalist, but maybe too minimalist that it looks sterile. But it doesn’t take away from the amazing taste of the food. Great job overall!

Great location, tasty pizza, a bit on a pricey side though. This note is not special to this location rather the chain. Why would you charge $2 for chilli flakes? All your competitors give that for free?

I think the pizza is good, but I gotta say Tropic Thunder is just not my thing. The pickled jalapeño was way too strong and it kinda destroyed my taste buds so I couldn't taste anything else. I'm sure it should've been a tasty pizza. (So yes - I do not recommend tropic thunder...) I'll come back and try again for other flavours.

Finally found my favorite pizza joint in Markham. Went on "National Pie day" where slices were only $3.14 (nice play on words). Warning- if you grew up on Pizza hut, Pizza Pizza. Domino's, Papa John's or any other generic pizza chain, you will be severely disappointed. No globs of stringy flavorless cheese, sweet tasteless tomato sauce and spongy soggy doughy crust, bye bye Felicia. My dearest pizza lovers, we are talking top quality pizza ingredients here, no joke. Got the basic cheese slice, didn't want any add-ons to distort the flavor profile. YOLO'd it and also got the pepperoni vodka sauce slice. After about 15min wait. The slices finally arrived. They were getting slammed, lines of people waiting for their slices/pies. Got bad as some people were waiting over 45mins for their orders. One thing I didn't like was that they sprinkled parmesan cheese (at least I think it was parmesan cheese) on both slices. It added to the flavor profiles but it really wasn't necessary, some people may like it. I don't. Both slices were on the thin side but packed with flavor. The rich tomato sauce profile came through with a nice balance/ratio to the cheese. Some like globs of cheese on their slice, I prefer a balance between the cheese and tomato sauce. The vodka sauce on the pepperoni slice was excellent and had a nice spicy kick to it. Both slices might be considered on the salty side (for those who are sensitive to salt), this coming from the richness of the cheese and especially from the pepperoni. Finish this all off with a nice crispy flavorful crust. It was so good, I ordered an additional two slices to go! Mamma mia. That's some great pizza

I couldn't be happier when the team from Maker's Pizza decided to open up in my neighborhood! I love using their app for easy online ordering. You can see their full menu, as well as current offers/deals, and pay through there to either place an order for ASAP or scheduled for later, via pickup and/or delivery! This visit, I saw there was a promotion for a 12" pie plus a dip and drink for $25, so I went with Frank's Best, their garlic dip, and a Nestea. I also couldn't resist to get three of their Burnt Marshmallow cookies. Frank's Best was loaded with caramelized onions, goat cheese, grass-fed mozzarella, and rosemary, making it such a flavorful pie, you don't even need a dipping sauce to pair. Despite the use of sea salt on this as well, it's actually quite sweet. To finish, they brush the crust with organic honey and sesame seeds. I love the chew on the crust and it's slightly crispier exterior. Now, I did say you don't "need" a dip to pair but their garlic dip is a must try! It literally tastes as if there's an entire garlic in this 4 oz dip, making it so good. I always save up any leftovers to use in wraps/sandwiches I make at home later in the week. It adds so much flavor and goes with everything! As for the cookies - these might not be well-known yet, but I can't gatekeep these! They're a little doughier on the inside but have a crunchy exterior. The melted marshmallows on these make them elite! They are quite sweet but I love 'em and grab them when I want to indulge. Not the mention, their size! I couldn't be happier when the employee told me upon pick up that he gifted me an extra cookie. Why? I don't know but I didn't question it! Pick up at the restaurant is super easy and efficient. Service is also friendly and efficient. I love that for takeout orders, they keep the pies in a warmer until you arrive and all dips/drinks/cookies are packaged in a eco-friendly paper bag for easy transport. You're welcome to help yourself to paper plates and (good quality) napkins which are placed on the counter. The place at a glance every visit is well-kept and clean. There are a couple tables for dine-in, not serviced, but I've never sat in myself.

Enjoying a slice of Frank's Best was a delightful experience. The way the honey melded with the mozzarella and goat cheese on top of a sesame-crusted dough reminded me of a decadently topped bagel. Even though the buzz around it might have cooled, the quality remains commendably high. The wait during the Pi-Day rush tested my patience, but all was forgiven at the first bite, as the sweet honey drizzle perfectly balanced the flavors, melting away any frustration. A definite yay for this culinary delight!

Definitely a go to for me, love the pizza and the limited time garlic finger variations always hit. Service here also never fails to provide a great experience.

Don't sleep on Maker's Pizza. I hope and pray this restaurant thrives in Thornhill. Parking: Ample parking in the plaza Ambience: Take out spot, good date spot for something casual. Issavibe. Service: Ordered take out from here many a times, always on time and always fresh. Food: 12' Frank's Best (caramelized onions, goat cheese, grass-fed mozzarella, rosemary, sea salt, organic honey, sesame crust) Savory, well balanced, nice texture with the goat cheese and the mozza. Sesame crust is a nice touch as it gives it a sweet flavor to balance the saltiness. Rating: 5/5 12' Dr. Pepperoni (double natural pepperoni, grass-fed mozzarella, toasted fennel powder, organic tomato sauce) If you like meat, this is it. This ain't no joke of a pie. Super salty (not a bad thing in this case), the tomato sauce gives it a nice sweetness to balance it out, the fennel powder cuts the saltiness too. Rating: 5/5 - cause I love meat. 12' Spicy Vodka Pep God (parmesan, mozzarella, vodka sauce, pepperoni, chilli flakes) The vodka sauce is sweet, pepperoni is salty, chili flakes is nice but could be spicier, chili oil maybe? Fresh mozza, parm, can you go wrong? Rating: 5/5 12' SO Mushroom (basil, cremini mushrooms, grass-fed mozzarella, mascarpone, fresh garlic, grana padano, sea salt, cracked pepper, lemon zest) Wife's favorite so far, great balance of flavors with the mushrooms, basil and lemon zest. I'd eat this again too but I need to eat a Dr Pep after to balance it out. Rating: 4/5 (only cause I like pepperoni on my pies and some kind of meat) Fly By Jing Cumin Lamb Garlic Fingers (spicy cumin lamb crumble, fresh garlic, mozzarella, chili flakes (light), parmesan, freshly chopped basil, finished with Fly By Jing chili crisp and sesame (applied w/ honey) crust. Includes Fly By Jing chili crisp) Don't sleep on this, it's delicious, cuminy, hearty, lamby, salty, flavorful, you can taste each ingredient and care that was put into this dish. *Must try Rating: 5/5 - Please get this if you get Maker's... you will not regret it. Dipping Sauce: Spicy Creamy Garlic Parmesan with Chili Crisp - Good, very creamy, you don't need it for the pizza but this is fire. Rating: 5/5 Creamy Garlic Parm with Salsa Verde Nice change of pace from the chilli crisp, good salsa verde flavor, not overpowering when dipped with the pie. Rating: 5/5 Maker's pizza does not disappoint, you are paying a for a premium product and it's worth every dollar. Each take out experience has been phenomenal. Hope y'all are still here and open more locations.

These are the best gourmet pizzas! The cheese is incredible. Our favorite was Frank's Best.

today the pizza looked as good as the best picture on their site ... ordered cheese but added cheese extra all the way to crust and and grand padano , pepperoni ,olives and it was even better tasting .. thx for that have to admit that if you don't request it how you wish it to be , it may come with enough cheese for one slice to cover whole pizza because that may be a style some like .. hope they can keep THAT consistently .. #cheeselovers

I discovered Maker during the pandemic and made a regular trip to Avenue Rd for my Maker fix. Big fan. Tried the new Thornhill location twice over the last month and will probably drive the extra 25 minutes from now on to go to Avenue Rd for my Maker fix. Bothe times I went to Thornhill, In ordered a Tropic Thunder, Cheese pizza and some garlic fingers. The pizzas were good although a little oilier than the Avenue location. The Garlic fingers were downright terrible. They had a lot more cheese than the Avenue location uses and we're so oily that when you picked up a piece, the crust underneath looked like wet dough because it was saturated with so much oil, drops of oil were falling off, and the box soaked through with the oil making a big wet mark on the box underneath during my 15 minute drive home. Because it didn't want to go through the hassle of taking it back, we didn't take it back. The second time I tried it, it had a little less cheese, but still a lot, and was still very oily, but better than the first time. Stick with their Avenue Rd location ... they make a much better pizza.

this is one of those places where the line "you pay for what you get" makes total sense. people say this pizza is too expensive....but taste the ingredients..... look at the bake on the pizza......try it. by far the best pizza in the area. just tried to limited chef rang bbq brisket pizza. unbelievable. must try in Toronto.

First time going to this chain (4 locations). Did takeout. It took about 20 minutes for my custom large 4 topping pizza. Topping are usually the same across all pizzas. What makes a pizza great is their sauce and crust. Maker's sauce is smooth and nicely spiced and the crust although thin, the exterior is fluffed, light and crispy. Outstanding. They don't skimp on the toppings either. The pizza was filled with the 4 toppings. Only negative was that they had no hot peppers (jalapeños instead) and no onions. Excellent pizza although on the pricier side but worth it.

Pizza was good, service was better!Customer service is not what it used to be, but Jason was a pleasure and I was very impressed with his customer service.

Just had an amazing experience at Maker Pizza. The pizza was outstanding! The crust was soft and the sweet sauce was delicious. We dined in at the counters and had a cheese pizza, some Fanta, and cookies for dessert. The garlic dipping sauce for the crust was excellent. The service was friendly and punctual. The casual atmosphere was kid-friendly and perfect for a relaxed meal. Highly recommend! Sooooo good!

The best pies ever! Best pepperoni pie out there! Better then joes! This pizza gave me magical powers and the belief in myself to finally declare my dreams OUTLOUD. I'm now an earner of six figures. Follow your dreams and get yourselves a slice'o'heaven!

It was really good, glad they made it to Vaughan. The other locations seemed like a mission. When i asked for mushrooms i got the mushroom farm. Very happy.

So here's the deal. I've been coming to the Vaughan location for over a month now and about twice a week for their slices. This last time i order my typical pepperoni and margarita slices and the guy behind the counter tells me they don't have margarita slices. So I ask ... Are you saying you will no longer be having margarita slices or are you saying you ran out of them today. He responds by saying that they have never had margarita slices - only pepperoni. I explain to him that I have ordered them here many times and that he was always the person serving me. He starts arguing with me saying that they have never had them since he has started working her and that I must be confused. I explain to him that my daughter is a vegetarian and that it would be impossible for her to eat pepperoni. We have taken them to go and we have sat down and eaten them in the establishment. Still refused to admit they have ever served margarita slices. Not sure why he had to lie about it but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Always an amazing experience. Tasty pizza. Delivery is always faster than their estimated time. And when we go to the store, staff is always so friendly and thr restaurant itself is always bright and clean.

So dangerous to have this close by! Makers Pizza is borderline addictive. Have had the pepperoni slice, garlic fingers and Frank's so far, all were delicious. The dough is perfectly balanced between chewy and crispy. Not overly greasy or over laden with toppings. Only downfall is the cost!! Due to the prices, this can only be an occasional treat.

Worst pizza ever. So salty and too much cheese. The pizza was also so oily. The garlic bread was spicy and also salty and greasy.

The order process was flawless/ the pickup was 4 minutes early/ the staff were more than friendly/ the place was spotless / the two pizzas ordered were more than delicious BUT the price was exceptionally high!!!!

Finally Maker's made it to Thornhill, I couldn't be happier even though my waist line might not be lol! Great service, amazing pizza and just love this new location. Thanks Maker's pizza for my delicious mushroom pizza, it was outstanding.

I'd heard rave reviews of Maker Pizza from so many people, but the closest location to me was still a little too far, and too far to deliver. I tasted Maker pizza at a friend's house (Dr. Pepperoni) and it left a lasting (and very delicious) impression! And then I heard the news that Maker was opening a Thornhill location! I patiently waited, and then ordered Frank's Best. It did not disappoint - it was amazing!! Thank you for opening in Thornhill!

the service and food quality is excellent and the new location very spacious and inviting. So glad they opened in Thornhill, now we can pickup anytime!

This place takes the art of Pizza making to a whole new dimension! Outstanding through and through. the Cookies are also best if breed. Holy F$&k is what comes to mind when you take you're first bite. Maker, where have you been all my life?
