Place was easy to find and we came here based on recommendation recieved from reddit, chilli chicken, butter chicken was damn good Tandoor fish was a highlight, staff was attentive and happy to help. Except for the biryani rest all items were good If your looking for tandoori items then this is the place to visit

It is hotel in the name of Makhani fish and chicken at old jail road beauty avenue Amritsar, A big sitting available here for Bar and seperate hall for families. Fish amritsari and fish tandoori tikka are tasty and delicious, Rara chicken and tawa chicken are very tasty veg/non veg and Chinese available here tandoori chicken malai tikka, chicken lollipop,mutton champ,rice garlic chicken,shahi paneer mix veg and other varieties available here . Overall it is good money value restaurant.

Despite the name, what impressed me most here wasn’t the fish, but the chicken — easily the juiciest and most flavorful I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly grilled, tender inside with a slightly smoky crust, it was the kind of dish that makes you stop talking mid-bite. I still remember how mouthwatering it was — pure perfection. Their Palak Paneer was also excellent: creamy spinach, soft paneer cubes, and just the right amount of spice. It felt homemade yet elevated, full of warmth and balance. I did try their Punjabi-style carp, since it’s one of their specialties, but personally found the taste a bit too strong for my liking. That said, the overall experience was amazing — quick service, lively atmosphere, and food that feels deeply rooted in Punjab’s culinary spirit. If you love bold flavors and juicy chicken, Makan Fish Corner is an absolute must in Amritsar.

We had dinner in this place during our Amritsar visit. Overall it was good experience, food we ordered were good in taste specially fish items. It was crowded and you may need to wait sometime because of the crowd. If you are in Amritsar and want to try good fish items this place would be a nice option. We tried veg items also. Those also tasted good. Easily accessible via local auto or cab from nearby locations.

Food is no doubt good, but pricey for the ambience and this is a cash only place if you pay them by card or upi they will charge 7% extra. Don't understand the logic behind that.

I had ordered tandoori fish it is half cooked and cannot be consumed the worst fish i have had in years The owner refuses to acknowledge the same I suggest no one go to eat this rotten fish I got it packed and when I reached my hotel I realised that i had been duped with raw fish

This legendary amritsari fish spot doesn't disappoint. Their signature amritsari fish tikka was outstanding. Soft, juicy and flavourful paired amazingly with their green chutney. Their paneer tikka was great too. The server was great suggesting great options.

Recently visited this place and tried fish fry and tandoori fish. Just overhyped and overpriced. One plate of fish fry and tandoori cost me 1200 Rs. The fish were bad in taste and completely bland.
