Maki Mart (Markham)

Small shop packed with amazing food and flavors! Glad I stumbled upon this place. Freshly made maki rolls. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. She may not eat raw fish but she was still very encouraging for us to try it. We got one of her favorite the spicy garlic tuna and it was my favorite! Can’t wait to visit again.

Went to the new location at 5631 Steeles Ave E, Unit 8, Scarborough ON M1V 5P6, Canada and I loved it! They offered so many different rolls. My favourite was the California roll. They have a current deal of buy 3 rolls and get 1 free drink and it was amazing! Definitely worth it price and taste wise.

We bought many rolls Friday noon, myself bought 9 rolls and my friend bought over 5 rolls. Both of us got this Golden Uni expecting to see Uni in it, and guess what? All we got were salmon eggs with tiny bit of Uni paste, not even a single taste of Uni since there weren’t any of it. Why is it called Golden Uni if there’s no Uni in it?

I really enjoyed here! The texture is soft and chewy, and the toppings taste surprisingly premium. For under $10, you can try ingredients that usually cost way more at other sushi places. Great value and very tasty — definitely worth a visit.

Really good rolls! Would recommend getting a couple of rolls to try out. The eel was really good. I appreciate that the filling and seaweed are kept separate in a special wrapper until you’re ready to eat. Just follow the label and re-wrap for a delicious maki roll!

Love the selection of maki rolls at a reasonable price. The buy 3 rolls get 1 drink free is a great deal and we highly recommend! Stop by early to make sure you can get the flavours you want :)

Got Super Golden Uni, but there’s not one little of Uni or taste in there, just salmon roe. For real? The other roll I have does have Uni in there. Quality control please. It does taste good.

I’ve been to both locations now and I love that there is consistency. Very straight to the point menu. Loved their rolls!! I also love how it’s packaged. A great on the go snack or even a meal. My favourite would be the mushroom, the crab & the jumbo shrimp. I did try a bunch of the others as well, but those were my top 3. Super small space (which can be hard with a stroller or wheelchair (but not impossible). Can only hold 2-3 people at once. However since experiencing the pandemic I prefer 1-2 people at once, as the more people who squish in, makes it harder for those to exit as everyone needs to do shuffle. - so as you can imagine the is no dine in, it’s strictly takeout. However there is some grass area around the parking lot, so you can enjoy a nice outdoor meal on warm summer days. There is ample parking in the plaza, however it is often busy depending on the timing that you go.
