Mako Restaurant

Let’s talk Kosher at Mako. My family was pleased to find out that Solaz offers Glatt kosher dining throughout their many restaurants (pre-order required through Solaz concierge, cooked in a separate kosher kitchen) Mako was our first experience, and we were met with very attentive service, careful attention to kosher detail, and a warm accommodation from all staff members, including Roberto, the manager, who took extra steps to ensure our meal was handled properly. The food itself was absolutely delicious, filling, and perfectly portioned. We had the salmon, the filet mignon, and the rib eye. Each main dish was better than the next. Sides were delicious as well, but fries came out a bit soggy (probably because it was wrapped for kosher purposes) The food and silverware came out wrapped, with a sticker. A hot box, also closed with a sticker, delivering hot food for the whole table. We returned 3 times over the course of our week stay, and was met with a familiar warmth, remembering our drink preferences, and superb service.

I LOVE Mako! We stayed at Solaz and first restaurant we went was Mako. Service, staff, foods, view, everything was wonderful. We ended up eating there everyday! We can also order from poolside so that’s what we did once! My absolute favorite is Caribbean coconut. Be careful that’s only for lunch! But they made one for me since they knew that’s my favorite. I ate 3 times! For food, I like ceviche, Aguachile and tuna tartar. And tortilla chips! They have a couple different chips and I can just eat them! The staff were super friendly and called me with my name after one visit. I had amazing time there! Highly recommended!

Since we’re staying at Solaz, we wanted to try Mako for dinner—and sunset is definitely the time to go. You can’t beat the location right on the ocean. They started us off with two small palate-prepper bites (no idea what they’re called, but they were a nice touch). I ordered the Peregrino cocktail, which the menu described as having a nutty flavor. They weren’t kidding—there were actual chopped walnuts in the drink. You take a sip…then chew. Not bad, just unexpected. For appetizers, we tried the abalone and the clam soup. Both were very good. The abalone was tender, and the soup tasted like a high-end cream of potato with chunks of clam. For our mains, we ordered the scallops and the catch of the day. For dessert—don’t ask me what we ordered, but both were good. The “corn on the cob” dessert was especially light and surprisingly delicious. Our server was attentive and very accommodating throughout the night. Would we come back? Sure, if we were already in the area. But I don’t think we’d go out of our way to return.

We didn’t sit at the restaurant because of the weather, but luckily we were able to enjoy the food poolside — which was super convenient. We ordered the ceviche, aguachiles, and truffle fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The view is absolutely stunning, and even though we didn’t try much else, what we had was definitely worth it. Would come back to try more!

The food was unbelievable! Every bite was so flavorful and delicious. The head chef and staff provided such great service. I was staying at the resort for my bachelorette and the girls and I were enjoying ourselves and it’s all thanks to the great food and the staff! The staff was so sweet giving us complimentary dessert for our celebration. Would 100% recommend this! Muchas gracias!

Mako is an amazing restaurant!!! I’ve now gone 2yrs in a row. It was so good the first time that I knew for sure the next time I was in Cabo that regardless of where I stay I will be having dinner at Mako at least one night I’m there. We took a taxi 45mins to have dinner at Mako this year. If/when I return next year I will also be having dinner there again!!! Service is always top notch and food is a wonderful experience!! The atmosphere is to die for, right off the water. They get a beautiful sunset so if you’re able to go right before the sun sets the views are breath taking. This time around we went in the evening after sunset and it was so peaceful being able to hear the waves. Mako is a must go every time!!

The service was superb and friendly. This restaurant comes with a view to compliment the tasty food. I enjoyed the nachos (10 out of 10 from me and my wife), also a loved the Tuna Tostada (10 out of 10), and the fried Octopus got an 8 out of 10 from my wife due to its simplicity. I would recommend this restaurant for sure! Go and enjoy!

My wife and I recently vacationed to Cabo and this was our favorite restaraunt by far. Pricey bc its at a resort BUT the food and service was exceptional. The view as you can see is amazing. I do not have enough words for this place except amazing
