Very busy place! You might or will get lost. However, i felt safe snd people respect you. Just caustious of people carying big/ heavy stuff over head or goods displayed outside so that you dont trip over. You can spend all day and will still find something youve never seen before. I bought my sheabutter and black soap here and i love it. People are genuinely very polite, kind, and friendly. I had an amazing time gazing at Ghanian people living their beautiful lives.

Makola market is one of the biggest, busiest and most iconic markets in Accra, Ghana. Located in the heart of the city. From fabrics, beads, spices, and local foodstuff to everyday essentials, Makola is a hub for traders and shoppers alike. I had a swell time at Makola Market shopping, exploring, and simply soaking in the vibrant energy. From colorful fabrics and handcrafted items to the aroma of local spices, the market was alive with culture and hustle. Just walking around was an experience on its own. It’s busy, bold, and beautiful, a true reflection of Accra’s heartbeat.

For a person from India, this sort of market, crowded, people milling around, all kinds of stuff on display with no categorisation, is not a novelty. People from developed countries may find it a special experience.

This is a great, huge, and hectic locals market. Ambitious vendors hawked housewares, shoes, clothes, athletic wear, underwear, bags, wallets, and items geared to every day life. One in our group found a pair of walking shoes and another scored a soccer jerseys. I found jerseys for my grandkids and almost got lost in the frantic pace. The best view is from the third floor of the parking lot to see the aerial view of all the colorful tents and goods Be sure to bargain

Wow oh wow, first I recommend to walk in from blocks away because the traffic to enter is insane. Some cars stayed on the same spot for over 40 mins. Walk in to save time. But this market has everything you need. Anything. You just have to find it. The streets are very very crowded and the sites of vendors all over can be overwhelming. But take your time and shop. I don't really bargain with the vendors because I support them. But you can negotiate if you like. Walk with small change and a comfy footwear. A must when in Ghana . Enjoy!! Thank me later

The heartbeat of the city. Hot, colourful, bustling, smelly, energetic, crazy, crowded and endless. You can easily get lost in the maze of stalls selling everything from fresh vegetables, dried fish, snails, pots/pans, colourful cloth, jewelry, etc. People are friendly but it is really busy, especially on a Saturday afternoon. It was worth the visit and I bought some nice outfits for my wife.

You can get everything you want here from food to clothes to appliances, however this place gets crowded easily and it's better to go with someone that knows the place well

What a beautiful place. The sights and the sounds of Market life. The traffic jams. The Ghanian Culture Colorful scenery, people alive and bringing their hustle. Just the liveliness of it all. My hope for these cultures springs eternal. .. GOD BLESS GHANA AND ALL GHANIANS
