Great food and coffee, and the waitstaff are always friendly and welcoming. However, there's a noticeable issue with one of the managers who seems upset with customers opening laptops, even while purchasing food and drinks.
Even if two people spend over $40 within half an hour, you're kindly (or not) asked to move to a crowded shared table as soon as you finish your plate, despite other high tables being available. This leads to confusion, as by shuffling people around, the same manager also seems to lose track of who has paid (we always ordered and paid at the counter).
Disappointing given the quality of the food, coffee, and general atmosphere. It might be helpful to add a "No laptops, please" and "Use the shared table under $100 or 4 people" sign to clarify expectations.
Bonus for the Barista/other Manager that followed me to kindly remind me that my job wasn't more important than his and that he was 25 years older - that's great to know and didn't sound passive aggressive at all.
