Cool comfort: Why Australia loves its gelato (even in winter) - SilverKris

"Started by a former architect who apprenticed at top Italian gelaterias, this Newtown-born shop champions provenance and seasonal ingredients—jersey milk and cream from the Southern Highlands, peak-season fruit and no additives. Standouts include sea salt caramel made with cult-favourite cultured butter and a silky Sicilian pistachio that is lightly roasted and delicately salted; the brand has since expanded to Bondi Beach with further growth planned on Oxford Street." - Victoria Khroundina

The fruit bowl was as delicious as it was beautiful. We also love the arepas which are so good and authentic. We have been coming here for years and it's our favourite local brunch spot!

My go to for morning coffee and friendly atmosphere, always someone interesting to chat too. Currently eating this beautifully presented and full favour curry - highly recommend. Also I play music and quite fussy, so will literally have to leave a place if the music is off, these guys play the best tunes south of the Caribbean.

I went with a couple I know. The store was clean and the staff were friendly and cute♡ I ordered the Caribbean curry with chicken. The spiciness is just right, and the texture of the brown rice, nuts, and beans enhance the flavor. The coffee is delicious and it's a recommended place⭐︎

Lovely coffee, lovely food, lovely atmosphere. The Carribbean influence is felt on that ham and cheese sandwich with the addition of the spices. They're also pet-friendly as I saw a couple of patrons chill outside with their pets while having a cup.

An excellent little Caribbean inspired cafe in the heart of Bondi’s dining scene. First rate coffee and food that is fresh and delicious.

I’ve been here several times. Great matcha and delicious food (if a bit expensive), but really not dog friendly. I felt like I was being glared at when my dog so much as touched the inside of the cafe.. just think there’s a more hospitable way to be with your customers. However, appreciated they left me to my devices once I moved outside.

Great food and coffee, and the waitstaff are always friendly and welcoming. However, there's a noticeable issue with one of the managers who seems upset with customers opening laptops, even while purchasing food and drinks. Even if two people spend over $40 within half an hour, you're kindly (or not) asked to move to a crowded shared table as soon as you finish your plate, despite other high tables being available. This leads to confusion, as by shuffling people around, the same manager also seems to lose track of who has paid (we always ordered and paid at the counter). Disappointing given the quality of the food, coffee, and general atmosphere. It might be helpful to add a "No laptops, please" and "Use the shared table under $100 or 4 people" sign to clarify expectations. Bonus for the Barista/other Manager that followed me to kindly remind me that my job wasn't more important than his and that he was 25 years older - that's great to know and didn't sound passive aggressive at all.
