I very much enjoyed my breakfast here. I was seated on the out door patio and was able to see a beautiful rainbow for my last morning in Maui. I ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly but I was more impressed by how crunchy the english muffin was. That went perfectly with the eggs and the sauce.

They totally ruined their restaurant. This was the best on Maui featuring Miso Opakapaka, wonderful side dishes and other Mediterranean Hawaiian fresh fish and steaks in the Marriott Wailea. This is the most astonishing turnaround in a restaurant I have ever seen. And the place was empty... At busy Christmas season!!! Changed menu and food. Do not recommend. Added a new selection on a side menu that features incredibly unhealthy food. Bottom of Kalbi. Basically it is the beef fat off of fatty Kalbi ribs over cabbage. Nasty! Mixed fresh hawaiian fish looked good until it was discovered it is mixed with mayonnaise and served. VERY unhealthy menu. Better fix it and get rid of this new chef until your restaurant is totally empty. Who made all these decisions. Wow!

Had the herb chicken and my wife had the salmon. Both were very good and kimo Was a great server. Was pricey, but had a great ocean view and sunset.

If you want a $20 greasy cheeseburger this is your place. The wait staff will try to upsell you but offer no suggestions when trying the local food items. We were highly disappointed and felt misled by the advertisements for happy hour. Which hourapparently only applies to the front area, which they will not tell you when you sit down.

Place smelled horrid at the far end of the restaurant, in our opinion. The menu seemed like a grease ball. Got up and left before wasting our time.

Ate several dinners and breakfasts here during a family vacation. Good food and attentive, personable servers. Nice view of the ocean and sunsets.

This place is terrible! I complained about the food and was insulted by the manager who ended up in my face. Bad enough to serve poor food, but no one needs someone over aggressively in their face when trying to leave!

Service was excellent and food amazing as usual. The Poke is delicious, thanks for being so attentive to my family especially my two young kids.

I don't usually write reviews, but the service I received deserves recognition. Anna my waiter went so far above and beyond that they completely elevated my dinner and honestly, made my trip to Maui unforgettable. Anna knew the menu inside and out not just listing dishes but describing them in a way that made my mouth water. Recommendations were spot on, it was clear Anna had genuine passion for the food being served. What really impressed me was the attention to detail. Anna anticipated what I needed before I even asked, checked in at just the right times, and somehow balanced professionalism with a warmth that made me feel special. It wasn't just service it was hospitality at its finest. In a place as beautiful as Maui you expect stunning views and delicious food but this level of care and knowledge is rare. Thanks to the waiter, this dinner wasn't just a meal it was a highlight of my trip. If you're lucky enough to get them as your server trust their recommendations and enjoy the ride. Truly 10/10! Special thanks for the Manager stopping by the table so I could share my experience at the end of the meal.

Roy restaurant up the stairs of the Marriot Hotel with a good happy hour. Food 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere 4 Cost to worth it rating: 2 (pretty spendy with starters ~$20 and many entrees $65) Opentableable: yes Return worthiness: maybe for hH again Highlights: - Happy hour: from 5-6 when others have it a lot earlier. Few specials on appetizers and cocktails. - Mongolian pork Ribs: Asisny saucy small ones we've had at other Roy's restaurants. 4 stars - Chicken wings: crispy and spicy. 3.75 stars - Lilikoi Mai tai: one of the better ones. 4 stars - Pineapple mule: using Hawaiian vodka and refer tree ginger beer was refreshing. 4 stars - Humble Kai Roll: shrimp tempura and big eye tuna with avocado was delicious but not sure of the $30 price tag. Note mayo is included but not listed on he menu but they can do it without. 4 state Lowlights: - From inside sunset is blocked a bit by shades and outside can get windy - Ordered butter pasta with grilled chicken for my son to go and was $44. Not sure it's worth dinner prices, but enjoyed the happy hour specials.

Perfect place for sunset dinner! We sat outside and had a fantastic view. Perfect service by Anna! Food was spectacular! Started with the Mongolian ribs (my favorite), Brussel sprouts and salad. All pleasing and appetizing. The garlic crusted ahi (Anna's favorite), and the Butterfish were so fresh and delicious. All dishes were good for sharing (huge portions!) Anna offered to split the dishes in two for sharing which was perfect. Anna was amazing. She was so charming and knowledgeable about each dish, and patiently answered all our questions about the food. She seemed to really enjoy what she was doing, with professionalism! A bit pricey, but all worth it! I recommend!!!

Shout out to the staff at Humble Market Kitchin. We celebrated my moms 66th birthday and Cody and Nalani was our servers. The food was excellent and the service was amazing! I can't thank you all enough for the hospitality. Immediately we felt welcomed and appreciated. Everything was on point, it has been my second time here and it always exceeded expectations. Thank you to the cooks who just made those delicious desserts, all of them were perfect... what a way to end our night! Thank you Humble Market Kitchin!! Definitely coming back next visit!

This place is absolutely gorgeous! Aesthetics , food , service . We went for dinner right as sun was setting and wow! What a perfect place to watch sunset. Sit outside on the patio! Had a great time either way delicious food. View - amazinggg - anywhere you sit but we sat outside and great idea Service - also amazinggg, we had Anna and she was the best! She was so attentive, funny, witty, charming and just absolutely sweet and loved her! She took such great care of us. Honestly, she spoiled the crap out of us. She really elevated our dining experience and sealed our last dinner on the island. Such a gem. I'd come back just for her. Everything she recommended we enjoyed from food to drinks! Food - delish. overall everything we ordered we enjoyed! Would go back. If I could change anything, I'd have the Brussels/cauliflower crispy and wings crispier. The short rib was soooo tender and flavorful, it had a little crisp to it also which enhanced the flavor perfectly - not overpowering so good. Ahi crusted garlic and the shrimp (blackened) carbonara was a hit. And o m g the dessert!!! The chocolate molten lava cake and pineapple upside dessert thing, lawd, do it again! Enjoy! We dined at Humble Market Kitchen the day before Valentine's Day for the first time, and overall, we had a great experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our waitress was friendly, though she did forget my tea, and I had to ask a second time. For appetizers, we ordered the baby back ribs and seared ahi, and due to a mix-up, we also received the Maui beef gyoza, which the restaurant kindly comped. The gyoza was actually a great addition, and I really enjoyed it. The standout for me, however, was the seared ahi--it was absolutely delicious and my favorite dish of the night. For entrées, we had the macadamia nut-crusted rack of lamb and ribeye. My husband's ribeye was cooked perfectly medium and was a solid choice. I wasn't as impressed with the rack of lamb, as I personally prefer the lamb chops at Nick's Fish Market down the road. To finish, we shared the chocolate soufflé, which was absolutely perfect--one of the best desserts I've had. While we had a lovely meal, I have to say that given the variety of dining options in Wailea, we're not sure if we'd return, but it was still a great experience with good food and service.

We had a wonderful breakfast fruit bowl. Colorful and fresh with a papaya, pineapple, grapes and strawberries! Fresh and delicious. We also had dinner. Vegan options are available. We enjoyed an avocado sushi roll, and a seasoned tofu, squash and cauliflower, harissa carrot with Romesco sauce. It was very satisfying. Located inside the Marriott Walleia beach resort. Great views of the ocean. Parking is free. Pele was very helpful.

The service was great and the location of this restaurant was really close to our room. I had a roll (I believe it was the Spicy Dragon?) and it was okay. The rice was a little too cold and not as soft as I would have liked. The fish and sauces were good. I also ordered a fish dish which I forget the name of, but it was very good. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce paired well with it. The price point was higher than expected.

Once and awhile you come across a restaurant that is so good it stays with you. Humble Market Kitchen is truly a remarkable restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting and celebrates Maui's beautiful landscape. Our server Ana, was exceptional. She has this unique ability in helping you find the perfect drink and food selections. She took time explaining different options and asked us what we typically gravitate towards before suggesting the most delicious drinks and food we've ever had. Come for the atmosphere and delicious food and stay to hang with Ana. I'd like to give a shout out to our busboy Valentino who was so kind and attentive.

I was clearly disappointed in Humble Market Kitchin. First the seating is very uncomfortable. My wife and I switched seats because her bench made it feel like she was sitting on the floor. The views at sunset were great. Next they were clearly understaffed or just not great at managing the situation. It seemed like once you were seated and ordered then you were a bit of an afterthought. It took until desert to refill our drinks The food was fine. The brussel and cauliflower app was ok. Not much seasoning on the veg and a bit dry from the frying. The butterfish was good. The green tea cold noodles not so much. The short ribs were good as well but not amazing as I had heard. Everything just felt a little bland. The deserts were good as usual. But maybe we were just ready to be done by that point. We have had much better meals at local places around the resort

I was staying at the Wailea Beach Resort where this restaurant is located. On my last night there, I did not want to venture off property so I made an Open Table reservation. They were very busy so I did have to wait a few minutes past my reservation time but it was fine. With them being busy, it took awhile for my waiter to come by but after that he was pretty attentive. The additional staff brought me Edamame, water and my order. To start, I had the CRISPY IKA-KATSU (CALAMARI) Yuzu Kosho Tartar Sauce | Wasabi Nori Cocktail. This was very good. They cut the calamari in strips vs rings. Very tasty. Both sauces had a kick to them but I liked them both. For my entree, I had the HONEY MUSTARD BONELESS BEEF SHORTRIBS: Potatoes Au Gratin | Roasted Mushroom Medley | Pickled Pohole Fern Chimichurri. I actually like the potatoes and veggies better than the beef. The beef was good but not a super strong flavor. And it was a huge portion. It would have been good to share it with someone. Overall I liked it. For dessert, I had the Lappert's sorbet. It was a mix of flavors that I enjoyed. I think coconut and mango. Very tasty! Overall, I decent dinner. Service could have been a bit better but I enjoyed it and the food was good.

It was located right in our hotel, and we went during sunset--it was absolutely beautiful! We tried their hot chocolate soufflé, and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend stopping by, even if it's just for the dessert!

We stopped for happy hour, beautiful location. The bartenders working so hard but still very friendly! We were immediately handed an ice water which we needed after walking in the heat. Great Mai Tai and the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower so good! We need to go back to have dinner.

Best service you can find on Maui is at this hotel and the restaurants within it! We had such a wonderful time coming here for breakfast every day - the food was amazing, view was fantastic, and the staff kept us coming back! We can't wait to have another vacation so we can come back here and enjoy it all again!

Staff was very friendly, view was gorgeous, and the food came out super fast. They have a fixed price kids menu for dinner that looked quite good and was a significant amount of food. I think the kids menu is actually very reasonably priced for what you get. The adult menu prices, on the other hand, are what you expect from flagship resort restaurants. For the flavor of the food, I find the dishes overpriced. However, you are paying for more than just the food at restaurants like this. And that's why I want to call out how great the view and staff were. Ambience is probably not at the level of some of the other flagships around the area (e.g. humuhumunukunukuapua'a at Grand Wailea), but still nice. Really loved the variety of vegetables present in the dishes. The kitchen really shows a love for vegetables in the preparation and presentation. Sauces were also very unique and tasty. Overall, the food is prepared very well. I enjoyed my dinner here. I wouldn't make this a regular visit, but nice to do every now and then.

Love this place. We've been in Maui for about a week and had a series of very pricey but very mediocre meals. This place is in our hotel and so we immediately planned for meals outside of our hotel assuming this would be very basic. We were so wrong! Turns out it's a Roy's restaurant (which we love) and we should have known it would be delicious. The service was prompt and lovely, our waitress knew the whole menu and only fired off items as we needed them. Paced out the meal perfectly. The sushi is fresh and delicious, the gyozas are complex and delicious. The short rib is so good guys. Like moist and tender and served with fresh vegetables. The kids menu is a 3 course menu and so good! No Mac and cheese here! Wish we had come here sooner, love it. Just love it.

This lovely restaurant is located in a splendid area. I have been here twice but this is my first review of them. Service was very good, we felt welcomed and the menu had a great variety of dishes and drinks. The waiting time was ridiculous, over 30 minutes for our food. We were there on a Tuesday, not even on a weekend, so I can only imagine how busy they are on their prime days. The cocktails were ok, nice presentation overall, plates were served some of them beautifully and other ones need to be worked on. We had a great time with a couple of friends.

For Maui I would consider this place middle of the road. They almost got two stars due to the slow service but their server was super friendly and the food was good. Our initial drinks took 40 minutes and it was just soda. They have decent views and I would recommend sitting on the balcony. Not sure that I would go back.

This restaurant is at the Wailea Beach Resort by Marriott and for being a hotel restaurant it exceeded expectations! Great ambiance, service, and delicious quality food! We celebrated our honeymoon and had the best time. The team even brought us out a little congratulatory cake which made us feel even more special! Highly recommend to visitors and locals alike and will come again on our next visit to Maui!

Great for breakfast (although expensive). Forget the evening; the attitude changes completely. We were staying at hotel for conference and are also Platinum elite, but this place at night has a sad atmosphere and they don't seem to want you there. Get outside the hotel for evening dinner.

Visited in Nov 2023 when staying at Wailea beach resort, ate here almost every night for a week. Breakfast was buffett style and nothing special so wouldn't recommend. However dinner every night was perfect. Edamame came automatically. Favorite appetizers were sashimi and calamari. Every single entree was absolutely amazing, I think due to their smaller menu they are able to focus highly on quality and taste. Service was excellent, everyone was always nice. There is a beautiful view of the sunset of the beach if you're able to get a table on the patio.

Everything was absolutely perfect, the scenery, ambiance, service and the food was the cherry on top. We got a bunch of different appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts!

Just had. New Years breakfast at Roy's Humble Market Kitchen. What a rip off! The buffet for $102.80 for 2 people didn't even have an omelette station or any kind of fresh egg station, just scrambled eggs in the warmer! You may order an egg to be delivered. The Portuguese Sausage was $10.00 on the ala cart menu, which was 5 1/4 in slices the size of a large quarter. No eggs Benedict or omelets at all! Go somewhere else in Wailea for breakfast!!!

Background: Brought kids with us to Maui to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Reservations were easy to make, made rez for 4 people 6 days prior and still openings so it is easy. The restaurant is in the Marriot, you can go even if you're not staying at the hotel. Parking was free. The hotel is beautiful and there are spots to take photos. The restaurant: we got seated close by the patio but still in the restaurant. We had a great view. Food: food was amazing- we loved everything. Adults got the butterfish Bass and Boneless short rib. Kids got the Buttered pasta and kids Boneless short rib. No complaints! Service: Here was the issue. We got seated and we waited a while for someone to greet us. The server (forgot his name) acknowledged it and as soon as he came up he apologized for the wait. Cool- no prob you're probably busy. We gave the drink order and app order. The adult beverages came and we all took time to really decide on our meals. The app came out and we ate it all.... Then waited.... And waited... He came and apologized again but tried to make a joke and said "oh wow you really didn't like the Calamri! " since we are all the appetizer. It would be funny but my thought was- no we ate it all because it's been some time.... Again- trying to lighten the mood. He's trying. I'm giving him the credit but the service just needed to get better at this point. He got our orders and left. The food came out about 20-25 minutes later... cool... But- we looked and realized the kids never got their drinks. I kind of wanted another glass of wine but we waited for the server to check on us so we can tell him but he never came. Then I started looking for him... then we all were looking for him. Someone else saw us and came over and helped. But after we got the kids drinks time had passed and he didn't pass by or come by to check on us. Finally he came and apologize AGAIN for the wait and would give us desserts on him/the house. The waiter again is trying but either the restaurant staff didn't help and failed him or he just keep falling short on servicing us. The dinner was our "nice dinner" of our vacay and were a little bummed. I give him some credit for trying but it got to a point where we thought, stop apologizing, just please tend to us. We felt like we were the table he got in a different section that he 'had to' check in on and I say that because other than coming directly to us we really didn't see him much. One random thing my husband took from the waiters comments was that every time he was at our table he tried to make a joke, "whatever you don't finish, I'll eat it!". Cool- up sell the food! We like jokes, we take jokes well... but he said it EVERY TIME he came to our table. I know the awkwardness that comes with the job- do I make convos? some people want conversations, some don't... but this was a little weird. My husband even said, if he really is hungry I'll purposely leave food for him. Because it was said so much. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was great. But being a very classy, high end restaurant with prices to match the food the service just needs to tighten up.

We had a business dinner here in the private room and everything was fantastic! Our server Ana was extremely patient with our group and did a fantastic job refilling drinks and interacting with everyone. The food was incredible and well worth the price tag- I can absolutely see why this place has a line out the door when they open! If we are ever back in Maui, we will certainly utilize this restaurant for our future dinners.

A great restaurant at the Marriott. We had the cauliflower and Brussel sprouts and it was the most delicious vegetable dish ever. If you are keto, this is the dish to get. I also tried the misoyaki butterfish, which was excellent and recommended by the waiter as a signature dish. However, I was a bit turned off by the bed of pohole underneath the fish, which is an acquired taste. If you want to make something Hawaiian, ok, but don't put something that would gross some people out. Pohole tastes like a really bad kelp. The menu doesn't say it comes with pohole: MISOYAKI BUTTERFISH Chilled Green Tea Soba Noodles | Sizzling Soy Vinaigrette | Lomi-Lomi Tomatoes $52 Just say no to pohole.

Humble Market Kitchin is located in Marriot Wailea Beach Resort in Kihei Maui. The restaurant was located near the front desk next to the lounge area. They offer happy hour from 5pm to 6pm and my relatives invited me to try their happy hour menu. The restaurant was spacious with dining tables, high tables, and lounge tables. For happy hour guests, we sat in the lounge tables which was large and comfortable. Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower: I love roasted Brussels sprouts. Im not a fan of cauliflower but these were good roasted and crispy. The queso sauce was good. I didn't taste much of the aioli but the veges were tangy. Crispy Ika-Katsu (Calamari): The calamari sticks were good. Perfectly golden and crispy. It was on the chewier side which was fine. The cocktail sauce was excellent but their "tartar" sauce taste like ranch dressing. Kula Mixed Greens: This was a good dish to get some greens in and to clean the palate from the saltier dishes. The garlic crunch in the dish adds texture and flavor. The vinaigrette dressing was tasty. Szechuan Spiced Baby Back Ribs: The ribs were tender and it's easily slid from the bone. However, not a fan of the Szechuan sauce. It was on the saltier side. I prefer original bbq sauce for ribs. "Chili-Peppah" Chicken Wings: The chicken wings/drumsticks were saucy. It was not bad but it was on the saltier side. It has a slight spice kick and it came with ranch on the side. Potato Crusted Local Catch: The local catch of that day was monchong fish. I like monchong because it doesn't have the fishy taste. The monchong was fresh and moist. The potato crust wasn't crunchy since it absorbed the fish moisture. The risotto couscous was divine. I love the texture and it taste delicious with the lobster sauce. I would prefer more of the lobster sauce over the dish. Madame Pele Roll: The sushi roll included a charred spicy tuna on top so it was a little smoky but so delicious. I love spicy tuna rolls and the sauce was savory and sweet on top. Chocolate Soufflé: Roy's iconic dessert. The chocolate soufflé came out hot and the molten chocolate lava was perfectly runny. The scoop of vanilla ice cream was huge and it pairs so well with the hot soufflé. Overall, it was a good dinner. The $10 price for the appetizer was a good deal with good portion size. The service was good and friendly. Everyone made us feel welcome. They do still offer kamaaina discount, however it is not included for their happy hour menu and alcoholic drinks.

Amazing spot for families who don't want to compromise on good food. Kids meals were amazing prefix 3 course meal. My daughter never enjoyed short rib before but proclaimed the meal the best ever. Gyoza potstickers (3.5/5) - good bite but nothing special Mongolian ribs (3.5/5) - good cut and tasty Butterfish (5/5) - very flavorful and moist. Nice light accompaniments Potato crusted mahi mahi (3.5/5) - mahi was moist and tasty but the potato crust was less intricate and less amount than expected Squid ink pasta (5/5) - very well executed and full of hunks of seafood. More tomato based than Alfredo but perfectly balanced Service was very friendly and they were so nice about splitting things. Definitely top notch service!

Came here for vday dinner. LOVED the sushi we got as an app, so creative and the right amount of smokey. My potato crusted fish was divine. The noodle dish was really disappointing. Nothing ground breaking and the noodles were plain and cold- added nothing to the dish. Gorgeous patio view though!

The pele sushi was the perfect balance of flavors with an exciting kick of spice from the chili string. I got the herb-crusted monchong which was decent and the lava cake dessert was heavenly

Flew home to take my mom out for her birthday and she settled on the tried and true, Humble Market. Had reservations for 6:30pm but got there a little early and scored at table near the lanai, which was perfect because it was cold out but we were still able to see the last few minutes of the sunset. Tyler was our server and brought out some edamame to start us off. We ordered the charred Brussel sprouts and cauliflower which we both throughly enjoyed. The sprouts and cauliflower were toasty and served with pumpkin seeds, cheese, and a cilantro aioli (didn't really taste the cilantro but I'm not complaining. I ordered the miso butterfish and mom got the potato crusted catch of the day (mongchong). Can't go wrong with the classic butterfish, taste the same as any from Roy's but this one was served with a green tea soba and some bok choy. The mongchong was my favorite, served with a lemon couscous and velvety rice sauce. I kept stealing bites from my mom's plate haha Type came midway through our meal to check and see if we wanted dessert because they're made to order and take about 20~ mins to prep. Birthday girl chose the pineapple upside down cake but Tyler came back with the chocolate lava cake by accident. Going above and beyond, Tyler said the pineapple upside cake would be coming out soon, so we got two desserts PLUS the complimentary panna cotta. Suffice to say, we were sugared out by the end of the night. Our compliments to the chef and Tyler's superb service! For kamaaina-- they validate parking for valet and also give 20% discount!! Update: went back to look at my receipt and saw I was charged for both desserts when I thought I was only charged for one.. welp, I guess it was still worth it lol

Incredible atmosphere, service, and food! If you go, request Anna to be your server. She gave us the best experience and gave the best service we've had on the island! All of our food and desserts were incredible, we couldn't stop eating but we were so full at the same time - just too good! Chocolate lava souflee was a favorite and the butterfish can't be beat. 3 of us got the butterfish and there wasn't a bite left.

Amazing place to have high quality food and sunset view. The meal was pricey, but completely worth it based on the ingredients and service. For starters we had: 1. Baby back ribs. These fell off the bones and were extremely tender. Very good flavour as well. Consider the price this item was a steal. 2. Brussels Sprouts. I wasn't too impressed by these. I thought the flavour lacked depth, perhaps because there was not enough sauce on top. For entree we had: 1. Braised short rib with mashed potato. Let me tell you, the mash potato was another level - buttery, creamy, with savoury bits of bacon mixed in. The rib itself was so tender and juicy. No knife needed. 2. Macadamia nut crusted Lamb. This was pricy but completely worth it. The flavour of the lamb had a noticeable coffee hint that added so much depth to it. Meat was cooked to perfection as well. For dessert we had chocolate soufflé and pineapple upside down cake. Both were melts in your mouth delicious as they came right out of the oven. Our server was amused by how much food we ordered and how quickly we devoured everything. Overall a great experience. Highly recommend!

The breakfast buffet was not worth the price. No omelette station. Eggs are all precooked and they are totally "buffet eggs" - dry and made from liquid eggs. No waffle station. Fruit selection was okay - could have more variety. There were no bananas. Cereals and granola were limited in option. They had an oatmeal option with only a few toppings and you had to request the chef to prepare it for you - not self service. The breads and pastries had a decent selection, however the scone was dry and not enjoyable. The banana bread was actually pretty good. Lots of meat options, although all highly salty. The service was suitable and the servers were expecting to be tipped on the full value of the breakfast buffet even when using a free breakfast that is included in the room rate. All the servers do is beverages and they expect $20 tip for two people they made this clear by circling the suggested tip portion of the $0/comp check. The seating is horrible if you're in a banquette/booth. I felt like the table was up to my chin. You can get better quality food from the Island Market up the street, and much cheaper.

Had an amazing delicious meal here while visiting Maui. Every single bite of our selections were perfection in flavor and size for sharing. I promise you won't be disappointed. The views outside are heavenly. Service was a delight and very attentive to our every need. You're on vacation! Go for it!

Went here for dinner, food was excellent and staff was super accommodating. We didn't have reservations and were able to walk in and get seated at a nice outside table. I went with my wife and her mother. My mother in law has a fake gluten allergy and on this occasion it was severe, she had numerous requests including food which wasn't even on their menu. Our waiter (Pele?) was super accommodating and provided enough assurance that a super picky eater found reassuring. Food was great, I ordered the Ahi and my wife ordered a vegetarian tofu dish, my mother in law made up a concoction of dishes. Staff was all great and would recommend them to anyone. Mahalo.

Disappointing experience and rude service.   The restaurant looked great and was fairly busy the night before, so my family and I wanted to try it the next day. We were quickly disappointed. The server was rude, dismissive and ignored us for the entirety of the night. While ordering we asked for advice and descriptions of some of the dishes. The server's description did not match the food that came out. The food itself was decent. I enjoyed the "'CHILI-PEPPAH' CHICKEN WINGS" as a starter. I got the "JAPANESE STYLE CHICKEN & MOCHI WAFFLES" which was alright. The price of the food was not justifiable. There was nothing special about the food or service to justify such high prices.   I had hoped for a much better experience at Humble Market Kitchen.

We at breakfast here almost every morning and the serene view overlooking true paradise is forever engrained in my brain. Plus, the food selection from the buffet was appetizing as well. I only caught the corned beef hash one day, but I was longing for it after that first day. Unfortunately, it's one of those rotated menu items, so I wasn't there long enough to have it again. Nonetheless, you will not be disappointed by the food or friendly service!

We had a fantastic dinner here with sushi roll for appetizer, Korean fried chicken and waffle (with asian pear, kimchi, and delicious sauce), and mahi mahi catch of the day. Service was excellent and we were seated outdoors on the balcony. Not only was there an incredible ocean view sunset, but we had the privilege of watching a mama and baby whale cavort right in front of the restaurant!

We were staying at the resort, heard great things about Humble Market and were very excited to try it out! I honestly tend to avoid restaurants at hotels / resorts but this one is totally worth the stop. We came on a night that they were clearly understaffed as everyone seemed a bit flustered and our food took a very long time to arrive. Our server was very sweet and apologized many times for the delay, which was no big deal. This all being said, the food was very good! We both loved what we had and enjoyed the lava cake dessert too. They have a great vegetarian option and an extensive wine list as well. We would definitely revisit if we lived closer. Ask to sit outside if you can!

We wanted to try Humble Market Kitchin since it was by James Beard Award Winner chef Roy Yamaguchi. The menu is inspired by the flavors he recalls growing up in Hawaii. It's a huge restaurant and great for a big group. The Honey Mustard Boneless Beef Shortrib and Misoyaki Butterfish were my favorites; the rest of the family had the Japanese Style Chicken & Mochi Waffles and Mahi Mahi. A bit pricey but no surprise for the Wailea area and we were able to get a same day reservation.

Limited food menu compared to last time we were here, we will try again next time we are here

Tried this place out as they had good reviews and we stay at the the hotel where it was located. Delicious food! Would definitely recommend!

We had a delightful breakfast buffet. Freshly cooked eggs, special breads including gluten free pancakes and bread, avocado toast, smoked salmon, asian noodles and buns, fruits, salad, and more. THE SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONAL. A special thanks to Alex, Randy, Tica, Sinjin, Maria, and everyone on staff today who made our anniversary celebration delightful!

Our party of 11 unanimously agree that this was the best meal we had while on Maui (and we ate really well on the island.) Service is always excellent (this was our 3rd time here) and the food is so interesting and delicious. Anna and all of the staff make us feel like ohana. Their gyoza are to die for. I literally dream about them. Love the chicken and waffles. Butterfish is fantastic. Short ribs were amazing. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We can't wait to go back.

Our server, Pili, was fantastic and made our dinner a five star. He was very attentive and charismatic which is hard to find lately on island. We were never without drinks and he suggested great menu items. We only did drinks, sashimi and gyoza but it was plenty and delicious!

Great place for dinner. Spacious layout. Huge bar ( Nice happy hour for food and drinks) Bartender and waitstaff very friendly and professional. Food is very good. My favorite place for a huge plate of Sashimi, which I always fantasize back home! Stop by the patio to watch the sunset! Underrated restaurant in Wailea in my humble opinion...

My wife and I are fans of Roy Yamaguchi's cuisine. We first encountered Roy's Hawaiian fusion genius on our honeymoon at his namesake restaurant in Kaanapali. This has been followed up by several visits to his San Diego properties (we were sad when the La Jolla site closed). On our Maui 2021 visit we stayed in the Wailea area and we're thrilled to find Humble Market Kitchin by Roy Yamaguchi. Different name, same great menu offerings. On our 2022 vacation we knew HMK was going to be on the agenda as we were staying in the same area and like I said, big fans (we ended up eating there twice this year lol). Try to visit during Social Hour. The specials are pretty good including great appetizers. Drink-Bruh, it's Hawaii. Get the lilikoi Mai tai. I get it every visit. Starters-We've had the calamari, Mongolian ribs, charred Brussels sprouts & cauliflower, and the chili peppah wings. All are great! Entrees- The misoyaki butterfish was love at first bite in our first Roy's experience and they serve it here so darn right it's on the table. Our favorite fish dish ever! Braised short ribs is elevated comfort food. Extremely tender and packed with flavor. Accompanied by mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables (Pearl onions, broccolini, taro) Japanese style chicken and Mochi waffle was a new experience for us ordered by the kids. Chicken was juicy with a crisp coating and the waffle was great. Each visit we've basically dropped in without a reservation. We've never had to wait but we've always been seated in the lounge so literally I haven't seen the main dining area lol. The lounge is very large with a few standard sized tables, some low ones with pillows like at a coffee shop, and large community size tables. It is airy and the few regular tables in the lounge have a slight view of the ocean. I'd guess the main dining room has better views. Service is friendly and patient. Like many restaurants they've also been hit by staffing shortage and on our first visit this past trip it showed as food took a little while during the standard dinner rush but nothing outlandish. Just order another Mai tai and time gets blurry anyways. Mahalo to Roy Yamaguchi and his Humble Market & Kitchin staff!

I'm reviewing the breakfast buffet. The food was underwhelming given the price and caliber of the resort and restaurant. They had the basics down with savory: eggs, bacon; sweet: fruit, yogurt, pasture and etc. The eggs were over cooked. My favorite was the lox salmon and fresh fruit. It reminded me of the free Hilton breakfast buffets but a tad more elevated. Service was awesome, staff kept checking in. You get free mimosa and parking is validated. The view on the outside is beautiful overlooking the ocean. We had a large group so we stayed inside. L If you are staying in the hotel and have a free buffet included I would come for the view.
