Hidden gem! Authentic Greek cuisine away from tourist areas. Outstanding rabbit and lamb dishes – some of the best I've had. Fresh daily specials plus à la carte grill menu. Excellent service and great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you want real local flavors!

Fresh, delicious and local food. The service was exquisite, we went to the kitchen and we saw the special dishes of the day. The Greek salad and garlic bread is amazing. After the meal, they served us fresh fruits. If we come back to Zakynthos and we want to eat, this place will be first on the list.

It was the best experience we could have asked for! We ate there three times in the span of 5 days (dinner twice and lunch once), because the owner was very kind and patient and because of the good food! The first day we went there, the owner took us into the kitchen to show us what options they still had left for the day, so we could choose whether we wanted something or if we wanted to look elsewhere. He also gave us many tips on how and where to explore Zakynthos. So about the food, we had many different dishes here and each and every one of them was really good! From the starters, to the salads to the main dishes. Would definitely recommend coming here if you want to try authentic food for a great value!

Amazing food. The first thing we’ve tried was a simple grilled bread with garlic butter that was so fresh and tasty. Rest of the dinner was mouth-watering as well. Fresh produce, well seasoned stuffed tomato and green pepper, hand-cut chips (fries). Our main were calamari in tomato sauce with rice which were well cooked and delicious. We were told that it’s also the oldest family-run restaurant at the Island opened in 1953. Wholeheartedly recommend visiting. Every day Chef prepares different specials.

This is the best meal I've had on the island all week. The quality and taste of the food are exceptional, and the service is outstanding. Anyone visiting Zakynthos should not miss this hidden gem.

Not usually a person who leaves reviews but for this one.. I HAD TO!! we are visiting Zakynthos first week of April, so most amenities especially out of Zante are still preparing for summer season. However, thanks to our host we are eating at some nice local restaurants. But this one tops it all. When we arrived, again, since it is not in a touristic place as 30mins away by foot from Zante centre, we were the only ones. But this didn't make any difference to the quality of service and food! We had the portobello mushrooms as a starter shared between two, which were served with toasted bread which was seasoned with olive oil. Must I say they were the best mushrooms I've ever tasted. I then had the speciality of the day.. grilled octopus (super good) and fried calamari (I admit, I've had better in my home country in Malta, but still finished the plate!) My husband had the lamb chops.. for the whole 30 minute walk from the tavern to the accomodation he kept saying how amazing these were! We were also offered some bananas, apples and strawberries with honey on the house. For these 3 dishes plus one big sparkling water, 0.5l jug house white wine and a pint of Mythos just €60.50! If this weren't our last night in Zakynthos we would definitely visit again!!!

Best meal we had in Zakynthos. We ate here two years ago and we couldn't skip it this time. We will make it a tradition whenever we return to the island. Fresh ingredients, family owned restaurant, friendly service and great prices.
