Absolutely delicious. Felt like I was back in Italy. Fresh seafood. Beef cheeks and pasta was cooked perfectly. Flavours were so rich and beautiful. Great service. Pricey but expected. Amazing.

Very nice Italian restaurant in Hobart... They are so kind to offer to serve my child a child portion of their pasta.. and even that the 7yr old couldn't finish it.. there is more meat than pasta 🍝 😂😆... Their pasta is good and their main course is equally delicious.. all 3 items we ordered are good and we left very satisfied...

Had dinner at Maldini in Hobart and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The pasta was absolutely delicious with generous portions—definitely come hungry! While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food makes it well worth it. We shared a chocolate cheesecake for dessert and it was rich, smooth, and absolutely decadent—easily a 10/10. The atmosphere was warm and comforting, with a romantic vibe that made the evening feel special. Highly recommend Maldini for a memorable Italian dinner in Hobart

$160 including 15% public holiday surcharge for 2 dishes, 2 desserts and 3 drinks. If you are looking for something hearty but light, marinara and chilli prawn pasta are great and delicious options here. Although I’ve had better Tiramisu elsewhere but the Tiramisu here was up there, good chocolate and pistachio cannolis. I find Tiramisu made in a large dish and set in fridge for sometimes turns out better than a tiramisu made in a cup where ingredients are not evenly distributed.

We were pointed to a table from the door, and not walked over with menus as you’d imagine. Had to ask for a menu 15 minutes later. Waitstaff were run off their feet so had to flag one down to order. Food was really basic, store bought. Cocktails had a really artificial taste to them. I wouldn’t rush back

Not the best service. Staff were inattentive when trying to order, but the food, music and atmosphere made up for it!

Had lunch there, l ate a brucetta. The tomatoes were tastless. My colleague ate the spaghetti marinara. The spaghetti was not aldente. These things should not happen in an Italian restaurant.

I've been twice and ordered the Eye fillet and the Lamb shoulder. Both were amazing. The Italian red wine went perfectly with the meal. Great food, look forward to coming back!

Had dinner with some old friends. Good food. We had the antipasta plate with bruschetta for starters. Very good. Then for mains we had linguine with crab, vongole stew and risotto. All pretty good. Restaurant so good we had to come back twice for dinner! The first night we shared a couple selections including the stuffed chicken- it was so good I kept dragging my husband back to have it for dinner! The restaurant is clean, quick and has great customer service! I highly recommend the stuffed chicken and chocolate torte!

We sat next door enjoying a beer and after eyeing off everyone's dinner at Maldini, we decide to eat here too. Everything was delicious. We ordered a very innovative gnocchi dish to start with and split a generous serve of the fish of the day (kingfish) for our main. Pair that with a bottle of the Bream Creek pinot noir and you cannot go wrong! Our waiter was incredibly friendly and patient and made for a fabulous experience.

Prime location for this little Italian restaurant on the Salamanca waterfront, great spot for coffee, and breakfast and to people watch. On this occasion I was meeting friends for a mid morning coffee, but was told to order the Semolina & parmesan gnocchi ŵ pan fried scallops, crisp pancetta, pinenuts & romesco sauce - great light snack and well worth trying instead of cake. Great price point wish I had time to try more of the menu

I had the fish of the day, King Fish. The fish was cooked well and the salad was nice, but the mashed peas weren't a great choice of sides, and what's worse, they were spread-out thinly across a plate that hadn't been preheated, so they were cold by the time they were served. The stone walls were visually appealing, but the acoustics made having a conversation difficult. But at least the atmosphere, clientele & service were pretty classy.

We love Italian food and they really deliver! Service was good and we were tired from travelling. The risotto was beautiful!

On this latest trip we visited Maldini twice for breakfast, the first time we ordered our meals and coffees, meals were fine and quite enjoyable, the coffees were fine but we didn't quite get what we ordered, no drama just a small thing. The second visit the waitress, a small girl with blonde hair that was shaved and kind of platted served us, she was fantastic, didn't write anything down and got the order spot on, she was quick and very efficient. Food in both visits was very good and service was mixed, the first time there is room for improvement the second, well, please get this girl training the rest of the staff.

New to Hobart we searched for an Italian restaurant with a traditional menu. We loved it and thought the servers were excellent despite being very busy. The spaghetti marinara was terrific down to the last drop of sauce. The tiramisu capped the meal.

Maldini is located in a lively area and the venue is quaint and lively. I ordered the pasta bolognese. For the price, I expected fresh pasta and exceptional flavor for the sauce. Neither were really there. The service was very good and accommodating. If you what to take your leftovers it will come in foil.

Maldini's is a great little Italian restaurant in Salamanca. The food is good and there is a reasonable variety with excellent fresh seafood. The setting is fantastic, with the friendly restaurant located in the middle of Salamanca's food and wine strip.

We landed in Hobart hungry after a flight from Brisbane. Prior to booking our trip to Tassie, we were warned, "There's nothing as crazy as Tasmanian weather". Weren't these wise people correct. Upon driving into Salamanca, drains were flooding, restaurants were flooding, the streets were covered in water. We considered leaving Salamanca that day, but decided to visit Maldini. Their restaurant was packed, and they couldn't seat us for 20 minutes (which I thought was quite good, considering we had not made a prior booking). The restaurant manager explained to us that they had some flooding in the rear of their restaurant due to the insane rain, but continued to operate as per normal. At this stage, we weren't expecting the food to be as top notch as past reviews had suggested. However, I was completely wrong. I ordered the Saltimbocca alla Romana (veal scallopine), and it was absolutely divine. The sauce was delicious, the meat was tender and the creamy mash with asparagus simply belonged in this dish like a bone belongs to a dog. All I can say is, I can't imagine how good this restaurant is on a "normal night". Add it to your Hobart itinerary.

Beautiful food, great service but quite loud inside, I think outside the volume would be much more enjoyable

We had dinner here. Bruschetta. Interpretation is wrong, we got what was herb bread. Olives came with bread, unsure of what I had to do with the bread, perhaps an excuse to charge $7 for the small amount served. My wife ordered the linguine crab pasta, what came out was spaghetti! We ordered the blueberry white chocolate cake for dessert, what came out was raspberry white chocolate tart. I ordered a long macchiato, what came out was a long black with some token white froth on top. A lot left to be desired for this place, especially the prices they are charging! I'd avoid this and look elsewhere.

The service at Maldini is always exceptional. It is one of the classier restaurants in Salamanca and I have found the food to be fantastic both times I have been. Tasty gourmet food without the excessive price tag.

Brilliant! If I could give them six stars I would! Upon arrival we were presented with complimentary bubbly on account of it being our anniversary. The staff were really attentive, friendly and polite. Food was superb. Service was surprisingly fast. We couldn't have asked for more. We will be back, soon!!

Food looks great; a pity we have been waiting over 90 minutes for it. 30 minutes ago they said it was 8 minutes away. Was it something we said?

Had stuffed calamari was awesome the mushrooms were great to. Service is great glad I listened to the dude in the hotel who recommended it looked pretty disappointing when the place next door was full

had dinner in this place few times. mostly arranged by someone else. not impressed with the service. food "i have had better" but try the Tasmanian mussels, clams, prawns in tomatoes. the place crawls with dubious politician and business people!!!
