Malecón del Salado

This is a very nice hidden gem located near the university. The river walk is nice, needs a little upkeep but other than that, it has nice shaded areas to walk, even in the heat of the day. It feels safe and overall is clean. They’re plenty of resting areas and trash cans everywhere (although full sometimes). I’ll definitely recommend this cool walking area on the other side of the 9 de Octubre (the very other side from the malecon 2000. They’re also (paid&guarded) parking foreseen.

Busy day at the malecón. Popular place to walk. Some vendors on the malecón as well. Parking $1.50 an hour.

It's a very nice place to go for a walk, get something to eat, take some pictures and spend a nice time with the family. We went at night, probably we could've seen more things during day hours. We love the water fountain that is dancing at nights full of colors, according to the music that is playing. The city or the administration is making a real efforts to keep this place clean and safe.
