Maleny Food Co. Cafe

The cafe food was delicious. Maybe they could consider 2 small serves of different cheese rather than 1 large one - as yummy as it was. Going into the cheese room was a great experience. It was chilled and the aroma added to joy of seeing the cheese, condiments and deli selection available. My father in law said that a chocolate malt milkshake is very hard to come by in Queensland so it was fun to be able to surprise him with one, he says was very well made, for lunch!

We came in for a rest and ice cream. The young bloke who served us our ice cream deserves top marks for service and politeness.

What an incredible place! A group of friends ordered the share plate and it was so big we couldn’t finish it. The quality of the cheeses, meats, and other items on the board were incredible. Serious charcuterie goals. The sandwiches are fantastic. We didn’t get to try the gelato but the coffee, hot chocolate, and tea were great. I’d love to go back next time I’m in the area.

Delicious lunch meals and coffee. Come here if you love cheese and gelato. Lots of produce available on the walls as well. Very busy at lunch time. Grazing board was amazing but maybe order extra bread with it. Staff happy to put tables together.

Great place for cheese lovers. they have a selection of over 200 cheeses, including local cheeses. I opted for 3 local cheeses and was not disappointed the ice cream is also local and is excellent

A weekend away; we took a drive to Maleny and it was time for lunch. We stepped into Maleny Food Co. – a large, airy, light space which used to be the newsagent apparently. We ordered at the counter, and both chose the smoked salmon bagel, which was delicious. Freshly baked that morning, the poppy seed topped bagel was tender inside and crunchy outside. In fact, it was one of the best bagels I’ve had. The salmon and cream cheese were plentiful, and tasty. There were spinach leaves too, if you’re keen on greens. I had a cappuccino, while hubby drank a strawberry milkshake. My coffee was fine, and he enjoyed his cold, nicely-berried shake. There is a fromagerie (cheese room) at the front, and shelves full of food goodies. We really enjoyed the bright, light atmosphere and the friendly service. Oh yes, and gelati too! And I nearly forgot the orange and almond cake; I found it a bit dense but hubby loved it. All up, a pleasant break.

First time here and we were very happy. This is more than just a Cafe but that's what we were there for lunch. Loved my burger and my girlfriend really enjoyed her toasted ham sandwich on Turkish bread. Both of which included locally made ingredients. Seemed very popular for their icecream and the fromagerie. We will definitely be back on another trip to Malaney.

A late lunch on a Sunday. The chicken burger was plentiful and flavoursome. The eggs on toast had much more eggs than expected. We certainly were fed well here. Some gelatos topped the meal. They were rich and balanced, well worth queuing up for. The service is welcoming and straightforward, just the way it ought to be.
