Maleny Tropical Retreat

Our large family stayed in this beautiful house. It was magnificent, it had everything we needed. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable and roomy bedrooms and living areas and beautiful garden. Contact was easy, added touches were very welcomed, from fresh flowers to heaters on when we arrived. The house has stunning federation details and is beautiful maintained. Would love to stay again. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here for a pre baby night away and we absolutely loved it, the owner was so kind and lovely and our room was so big and clean. We loved the spa on the deck and the privacy we had from the balcony. We enjoyed a fire at night as it was chilly and the bed was very comfy. We went to dinner at one of the restaurants close by within driving range and enjoyed our breakfast that was in the fridge for us, catering to gluten free :) Obviously this is not a five star resort and everything is supplied by the family who owns the villas so it’s a very homey feel and we really enjoyed our stay.

Had a wonderful few days on site. We were well looked after and provided with an excellent breakfast pack for those two days with higha quality locally grown food s. Brewing coffee with single and double sized plungers. Fire wood delivered daily for the wood heater. Comfortable rooms and excellent linen. Will be back.

Stayed at Maleny Tropical Retreat recently, and while it has a lot of potential, some upkeep issues made the experience less enjoyable.|Pros:|• Location – Fantastic spot, easy access to local towns.|• Views – Absolutely stunning scenery, a highlight of the stay.|• Atmosphere – Quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxation.|• Space – Rooms are spacious, offering a comfortable environment.|Cons:|• Maintenance Issues – Noticeable wear and tear, particularly with furniture. The outdoor couch had ripped covers.|• Cleanliness – Excessive dust buildup on mirrors and picture frames, showing a lack of thorough cleaning.|• Kitchen Condition – A glaring hole where the dishwasher used to be, which is now dirty and messy, detracting from the overall aesthetic.|• Bedding – Sheets and underlay didn’t properly fit the bed and were showing their age, leading to an uncomfortable sleep.|Overall, it’s a great location with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. However, the accommodation could use some serious attention to maintenance and cleanliness to truly make it an excellent stay. If those issues were addressed, it would easily deserve a higher rating.

Fabulous site with large, stand alone villas that are well equipped and comfortable. Views from the balcony were spectacular. Our villa had both a double shower and double spa bath. The full kitchen was well equipped and breakfast essentials were provided - the locally produced yoghurt has brilliant. Highly recommended.

We booked our 4 night stay in Candi Dasa Balinese villa at Maleny Tropical Retreat. I went to reception and met Ken, the owner, who was friendly and helpful. Then we went up to the villa. First impressions are WOW! and it stayed that way until we left. The villa is beautiful with huge windows to look out of, and all you need. The view from the balcony is stunning. Lots of wildlife to see and it’s extremely peaceful. What a perfect place to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to come back. If you want a beautiful place to get away from it all you’ll love Maleny Tropical Retreat.

What an amazing place. The views are spectacular. We had a lovely room with kitchenette and dining both inside and outdoors. There was an outdoor spa area privacy screen if we wanted. A truly peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Highly recommended and communication from the owners was amazing. Rang to advise when the room was ready and was given access straight away. Continental breakfast was a delight and I will definitely be returning soon.

Beautiful place service was excellent the view was great and the staff was out of this world. The food was nice flavors was on point. This place I will describe as heaven on earth, just to get excellent service these days are almost impossible.
