Mali Namphu Boutique Hotel, Vientiane

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mali Namphu Hotel in Vientiane, Laos, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations for a 3-star accommodation! The location is perfect, situated within walking distance of the vibrant night market, the serene Namphu Park, Parkson Mall, and a variety of restaurants and nightlife options. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient! Our room was basic yet comfortable, accommodating myself, my friend and my toddler quite well. While there wasn’t a microwave, the small refrigerator was a great addition, and we appreciated having snacks available for purchase. It was a simple setup, but it served our needs nicely. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast at the on-site Rainbow Restaurant. The freshly cooked eggs, diverse sides, and delicious fresh fruit made for a wonderful start to our mornings. It was a lovely way to fuel up before a day of exploring. We also enjoyed the small pool, perfect for a quick dip after a day in the city. The hotel staff truly made our experience memorable; they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and many spoke fluent English, which made communication a breeze. The courtyard area was a delightful retreat, filled with lush greenery and comfortable seating. It provided a tranquil space to relax and unwind, offering shade and a pleasant ambiance. Overall, Mali Namphu Hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Vientiane. I highly recommend it for families and travelers alike!

I love the hotel. You can think the hotel look small if you see in entrance, however, when you enter the hotel, inside is very big area roundabout, hotel restaurant and many relaxation decoration with spiral staircase to swimming pool which make me chill a lot. Staff are helpful and familiar. The location is very convenient with the central area. Famous restaurant are just 5min walk and also can see the fountain at the road junction where a few min away. I was happy in my vacation and make me satisfied my solo trip.

The only good thing about this hotel is helpful staff, willing to accommodate you if they can. The property itself is awful. Run down is not enough to say. It would be the worse place I’ve ever spend a night in Asia if they wouldn’t upgrade me for free so I could survive the night. There are many pissed people who paid 60 usd / night, got into this nightmare and I found myself amongst them. Extremely dirty, pool not possible to use. The room I was first assigned to was tiny, on 4.floor but the worse part was the mattress. Sleeping on the wooden floor in the jungle was a better experience! When I told them that they claimed that nobody complained, yet gave me a premium room on a ground floor, which was so much better. Still, everything is super aged there, you don’t get to use the facilities you paid for ( that also includes ac), food is inedible. I ate a little and felt bad immediately after. It’s a better idea to find a random dorm than stay here! Absolutely nightmarish property! Avoid!!!

Pros: Good value for money, the staff is kind and supportive for any information, we were allowed to stay there after we checked out and kept our bags at the hotel. Cons: breakfast was not very good in my view, the room cleanliness could be improved, the key doesn't work properly.

This place has been going down quickly. Before it was good value for the room you got. Now a 30 % increase in rates and neglect building up. It is sad to see a property with so much potential sliding down. I cut my finger on the toilet flusher, tiles were missing, walls were dirty inside the.room and in the courtyard. Ii decided to leave after 1 night, it was just not worth it.

❌❌❌ DEFINITELY A NO NO!!! ❌❌❌ The room was very old. Every furniture, electric appliance, floor, wall, and ceiling, were all broken and old. SMS Staff here share your information to outsiders. They tell your room number to people from outside when asked. They even call our room to bother us and dare to ask us to go downstairs because someone asked to see us. We said no, but they already have told those people our ROOM NUMBERS. And there was no security at all. It was so UNSAFE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Can hotels share their guest information to outsiders that easily?! What the hell?! This place is definitely a NO! IT SHOULD BE DEMOLISHED AND CLOSED DOWN ALREADY. ❌❌❌❌❌

The staff are good the breakfast was fine and the pool was clean..||The rest however..||The rooms were poor smelled bad with pained over mould on the walls and the bathrooms were absolutely in a terrible run down state.|The reception is well kept the rooms are not. |The hotel is close to everything and has good cafes nearby.||One of my party left here covered in bites all 3 ended up with coughs due to the aircon been full with mould.||Don't stay here this place is not up to standard at all. This review is from 2024 any guest we encountered had the same issues. ||This place needs serious work folks.
