Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa (Leamington Spa, Warwickshire) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Classic English country house or contemporary spa escape? Visitors to Mallory Court, in Warwickshire, are faced with a choice, at least when it comes to the placement of their bedroom. The original Luytens-style house, which dates back to 1916, is perhaps the headline attraction, and contains eleven rooms and suites in a style that is, if not strictly antique, at least in keeping with the early 20th-century architecture. But to the Manor has been added a second structure, the Orchard House, which is home to most of the rest of the accommodations, in a more boutique-influenced modern style — as well as the lavish Elan Spa." - Tablet Hotels

We loved our stay! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a master suite, which was amazing as we were staying for my birthday. Our room was lovely , great views, big bathroom comfy bed (pillows didn’t quite suit me but otherwise ok).|We opted for the taster menu which was delicious, the desert was ok but not amazing (sorry pastry base hard). Breakfast good- some burnt toast but didn’t spoil it for us. ||Spa was small but relaxing and the weather meant we were able to use the outside jacuzzi which was lovely. I had the outer glow massage by Kayleigh was so good and thank you also to the staff, for managing to get me in on my chosen day as we did think it would be cancelled as a member of staff was poorly. ||All the staff are lovely and always service with a smile.|Thank you also to Angie for helping me with my booking I would definitely love to come back …. Especially to the master suite!

The hotel grounds and main building is lovely. Our expectations were high considering the reviews we read and the rate paid. The spa treatments were fantastic, as was the spa itself with the swimming pool and sauna and steam room. Including the outside sauna, which was very nice.|Everything else was pretty average thou. Breakfast was very average. It's not particularly bad, but it's also not a standout. Sencha restaurant similarly average and felt a bit pricey. Amazing restaurant/pub nearby - Windmill - more than compensated for it.|On the negative side, the sound proofing of our room was virtually not existent. Combined with the very loud bathroom fan, it makes it very hard to have a very relaxing night. We can understand that as an old building, it will never be perfect, but the neighbours' loud TV sound and conversation and steps passed through in full volume. Even when the reception staff addressed it - promptly when reported - and the volume was definitely down, we could still hear it. Potentially this is not an issue in the newer built spa building which also has rooms.

We attended the opening night for new head chef Stu Deeley on June 18th. On arrival were were offered the choice of sitting in the lounge or on the patio for pre-meal drinks. As it was a lovely warm evening we sat on the patio. The gardens and views across the countryside were amazing. Our drinks order was taken quickly and we enjoyed nibbles, followed by canapes, whilst relaxing. As it was our wedding anniversary we opted for the tasting menu. The dining room was well laid out, with plenty of space between tables and the decor was country house style. Service was efficient without being rushed, leaving enough time between courses to "take a breather." We could not fault the food. Each course was well balanced, beautifully presented and delicious. The team was very knowledgeable, balacing professionalism with friendliness. A nice touch was individual welcome/thank you for attending cards from Stu. Chatting to the staff we were left with the impression that they enjoyed working there and were proud of what they do, and rightly so. To have such a fine dining venue in Leamington is a bonus and we shall definately be returning. Well done everyone!

3 of us had a lovely stay here - I don't think I can fault it at all. Not too 'try-hard' to be hip & trendy and nearly everything you could need/want. Lovely grounds and staff all lovely and helpful. Our room (a suite) was perfect with some nice little extras. Had possibly the best massage I've ever had in the spa. Our dinner was very good too - it was quite 'fancy' but they got it just right (and an amuse bouche is always a winner). My only 'gripe' is that there wasn't a breakfast buffet where you could help yourself to cakes, fruit etc (I love a wee 'spread'), however the cooked breakfast was top notch so I'll let that go ; )

Absolutely brilliant service, and stunningly gorgeous food in the most stunning of settings. I have lived in Leamington Spa, for years, and have strangely never visited this hotel before this week. But a friend took me there for lunch on Thursday, it was so good that I returned during the evening with another friend. A fabulous bonus is that although I was enjoying champagne, they actually sell wines from my favourite vineyard, the Welcombe Hills Vineyard. I will be back regularly! |Completely faultless in every way!!

A decadent countryside getaway for a special occasion. Luxurious and well-equipped room, comfortable bed, beautiful grounds and a fabulous team. The spa was nice too. The dinner at the Warwick was especially memorable. High-quality ingredients expertly put together. Every dish looks like a piece of art. The breakfast was also great with lots of choices. Sencha was quite good. I would've liked more beer options at both restaurants and the TV in the room was a bit outdated. Both very minor points admittedly and didn't impact overall vibes. Felt pampered and left refreshed. 10/10 would come back.

The Mallory is a classic British countryside hotel through and through — from the elegant, traditional furniture to the peaceful rural setting, it really delivers on that calming escape-from-the-city vibe. The hospitality stands out: the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering that genuine British warmth that makes you feel at home. Facilities are excellent, with a lovely spa and a well-equipped gym — a real bonus if you’re trying to stay on track with training like I was. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, ideal whether you’re unwinding or catching up on some work. And breakfast doesn’t disappoint, with a solid range of options to start the day right. If you’re looking for a relaxing countryside break with all the comforts and character of a traditional British stay, The Mallory is a great choice.

The hotel per se is a lovely, old building which has been well looked after.|Originally, we were put into a block of rooms next to the main building. |It was the middle of a heatwave. The staff had not opened the windows and there were no fans. It was stifling; even hotter than outside. |To make matters worse, there was a barking dog in a room close by. There was no way we would have been able to sleep in the room.|We requested a room change but were informed we would have to pay more as it would be an upgrade. The most basic function of a hotel is to provide a room in which to sleep. I wasn’t impressed that this would be considered an ‘upgrade’.|We were also told that the hotel was dog friendly. I am also dog friendly. However, the hotel also needs to be guest friendly.|Eventually, the manager agreed that we shouldn’t be charged for the upgrade which was much appreciated.|The bar and terrace were beautiful and very relaxing. Service was infrequent and chaotic and we ended up paying for the same drinks twice.|The spa was equally relaxing except for the beetles (possibly cockroaches) in the steam room. I did contact the hotel to inform them of these as they could potentially pose a serious health risk to their customers. However, I have had no acknowledgment so, in the interest of safety, I hope they will take action following this review.|Despite our personal experiences, I actually would stay at the hotel again as the building is so lovely. However, I wouldn’t stay in the summer and I would request a quiet room. I’m less sure I would use the spa again without assurances that the beetles had been dealt with.

Yelp
Mallory Court is one of the best English country hotels one can stay at. Everything is A++, the staff, the food, the service. The only reason I rated it a 4* is due to the lack of Air Conditioning. I was on an international business trip and couldn't sleep for 2 nights due to it being so hot, not used to just having a fan. Also, the hot water stopped working one morning and the reactions made it seem just par for the course for the staff. Now on to the good stuff. The Staff is beyond excellent. Sama in the dining room, Isabel at the Front desk, the porters and many many more people. Service with a smile, went out of their way all the time, simply fantastic. The hotel itself is beautiful. Open grounds, amazing views, just want you need to relax. The big surprise was the food. Sencha, the Asian restaurant was a nice surprise. Small-ish portions, but great food. Not one bad dish out of the 2 times we ate there. Then there was The Dining Room tasting menu. Holy moly, we've eaten at many Michelin starred restaurants before, this was definitely up there. Superb food, I can definitely see it getting a Michelin star if they adjusted their seasoning. And came up with better than Sorbet for a dairy free dessert, my pet peeve. Also, big shout out to Sama and then team for finding me vegan butter for breakfast. I've never had that happen in a decade! Amazing trip. Please get some AC and we'd love to visit again!

Yelp
I had the pleasure to stay at the very British Mallory Court Hotel in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England while on business in the Midlands. The Mallory is a one hundred year old upscale boutique hotel in the countryside with a wonderful restaurant featuring some fabulous gourmet cuisine. After our delicious appetizers of Dressed Cornish Crab and a Crispy Duck Egg w/ fixins, a business colleague and I both chose fish for our dinner selections: he, the Pan-Roasted Stone Bass and I, the Escalope of Cornish Cod. Both dishes were nicely complimented with a unique veggie and sauce selection. We finished our 3-course dinner with an order of Caramelized White Chocolate Mousse as well as an order of 53% Chocolate Delice w/ banana and peanut butter. Wash all this goodness down w/ a bottle of an Italian Pinot Grigio and you've won a gold metal. Five stars and highly recommended.

Yelp
The Mallory Court... is exactly what you'd think of when someone says "on the outskirts of historic Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside." It's a two building facility that is the "Old House" and the newer "Knight's Suite." The rooms are up-to-date (which often is not the case in these such places), and the staff is excellent. They have two restaurants on site, and the food is great. At the end of the night, you can sip on an extravagantly overpriced digestif, and watch the fire slowly burn. If you're going to be in the area, it's a great place to stay. I'm told the grounds are beautiful in the summer months. Why not five stars? Well... the walls are seem to be paper thin... and that's an insult to paper.

Yelp
The brasserie is fabulous. We think food better than the Michelin rated sister restaurant. The beautiful dining room, relaxed atmosphere and human staff made for a wonderful evening. Prices excellent, more than good value for money
