We weren’t really intending to stay at the hotel, we just wanted to check out the hotel and see the decor and layout. |We were greeted by Conner the reception manager as we came out of lift and after 5 mins of talking with him about what Malmaison had to offer we checking in! |The hotel was dark and moody in a good way, great decor and lighting, very well designed. |Our room was so clean and inviting with a balcony overlooking the marina! |Conner was definitely the catalyst of our stay, and the barman I believe his name was Wallis made a mean Long Island Iced Tea! |Great hotel in a lovely location, relaxed vibe, with friendly personable team. |Nothing was too much trouble! |Should have stayed for breakfast but not time!! ||Def coming back - highly recommend the large stylish rooms! You won’t be disappointed

This hotel was very nice. The good: very comfortable bed, large plush towels, free drinks on days that you choose not to have the maid in (you can still get free towels/ supplies at reception). Nice pub lounge area with great views. The less good: We had a twin room, but weren't told at reception or when booking that this was also a disabled room. No view from our room, but we didn't mind. The decor is a bit naff though, and could use an upgrade. All the cabinets etc are in excellent condition, but the colours and decor are showing their age.

We stayed in one of the suites having stayed in the other previously earlier in the year. We had breakfast and dinner for several days and found the food and service in the restaurant to be excellent.|Only comment might be that I wouldn't eat dinner another day as the menu would be a little somewhat limited. Regarding the breakfast if was also excellent. Just one small comment would be that the hot drinks from the automatic machine I.e. coffee could be a hoter as they were only a little more than warm.|But otherwise it was very good.|With regard to the accommodation this was mostly very good. There was a couple of issues. We were short of a bath towel and had to telephoned for this but it didnt come and had to go to the reception to ask for one.|With regard to the inside sofas and this applies to each of the two suites having stayed in each. They are frankly extremely uncomfortable and after sitting on them for more than about five mins we had to sit on the Ratten chairs fashioning three cushions on them. These was a previous customer in a review who had said it was like sitting on brick. Which roughly describes the experience.|I would kindly suggest the management go and sit on them, then they will fully understand! Otherthan the the accommodation was excellent. We did mention about these sofas to reception on departure each time. Finally we must say we found the staff to be very helpful during each of our stays. One request would be to do something about the extremely uncomfortable sofas in the suites. It does really take a little shine off what was a very nice stay for our 30th wedding anniversary.

Been here twice now, this time we were greeted with a very friendly man at reception (Callum I think?) who was super helpful and our room was also really good! Clean, comfortable, just as expected so no complaints there. |We popped down to the bar where the bar staff were also very friendly and the drinks were well made. |Bed was comfortable and we had a good sleep with no disruptions. ||However, the breakfast next morning put a downer on our stay. |We arrived in the area where breakfast was served but it took some time to get attention of a staff member who said just sit wherever, so we sat outside but after 10-15 minutes no one came to serve us. |So I found a different member of staff who I asked if they could take our order (who said the first guy we saw told him there was no one he needed to serve) |He took our order, of which one dish arrived promptly, but then that was it, 15mins later and I have to again get up and find someone to chase p my meal, then I got it 10 mins later, it was completely stone cold and wasn’t nice at all. |The continental side of the breakfast seemed like it was a first come first serve and didn’t seem replenished as all the pastry’s had been eaten so we had to go without. |If we pay for a breakfast and it’s served between 7-10am, then we expect to be served the same as everyone else and be able to get the same food. We came down for breakfast at 9:15 and I got my meal at 9:50! And all the pastry’s were gone at this time too. ||Great hotel but I feel scammed out of paying breakfast and going for breakfast elsewhere next time||Only other downside was we were missing cushions on the outdoor seating whereas the rooms next to us we could clearly see they had some. The chairs were uncomfortable without.

I had a great two-night stay at Malmaison Brighton. The room was comfortable and perfect for a short visit. I really appreciated the eco-friendly option to skip housekeeping, especially since I didn’t need it—and the free drink at the bar was a thoughtful bonus. Friendly staff, stylish setting, and a smooth stay overall. There was enough nearby the hotel to keep me entertained for the short stay.

Lovely visit to Malmaison Brighton.||Myself and my daughter stayed for a ‘Sleepy Sunday’ deal.||As soon as we checked in we were offered free drinks as we weren’t able to drop our bags off earlier due to the hotel having a private function. I hadn’t even really complained, we were even offered a free breakfast and then had a room upgrade to harbour view as our beds weren’t made into a twin. |Exceptional customer service and really friendly. ||We like Malmaison hotels and have stayed in a few now and really enjoyed them. The furnishings are tasteful, comfortable and clean and the lighting and quality of everything from sheets to seats is great quality.||Dinner was great . It’s fairly expensive but again the quality is exceptional. Breakfast was also exceptional - they’ve thought of everything. My daughter loved her French toast and the lady serving us was lovely.||After having a truly rubbish August this was just what we needed and the upgrade and extras really cheered us up. ||Thank you Malmaison and keep it up!

Really lovely attractive hotel right on the marina with amazing views from the bar and restaurant. We had a twin room which was a good size. Very clean with comfortable beds and a walk in shower in the bathroom. It was perfect. We stayed for 2 nights and had dinner and breakfast in the hotel just once. Lovely bar facing the marina for pre dinner drinks. Excellent service in both bar and restaurant. Very good breakfast. We will definitely return and book bed and breakfast rather than room only. The nearby free parking was a great bonus as was the 10 minute ride into Brighton on the fast X1 bus!

A lovely hotel in a lovely setting in the Marina. Very modern and has a really nice terrace overlooking the rear of the marina. Only issues were: lighting in ceiling didn't work (we reported it but were only there 1 night) and the duvet was dirty but it was changed immediately after we let them know. A great place and would come again.
