Malmaison Leeds (Leeds, UK) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There's something of a revolution afoot in the UK — we all know London as the world's most competitive (and expensive) hotel market, the central front in the battle of chic high-design boutiques against stuffy, old-fashioned hotels. But there are interesting things going on all across the country, as the UK, more than any other country, is turning run-down industrial areas (and in some cases, entire cities) into hip retail and commercial destinations." - Tablet Hotels

Five-Star Stay at Malmaison Leeds for Pride 🌈 Stayed at Malmaison Leeds during Pride weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. The room was spotless, stylish, and super comfortable — a perfect base to relax and recharge during such a fun-filled weekend. A special shoutout to Lorna, who went above and beyond to make our stay extra memorable. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful — nothing was too much trouble. It’s rare to meet staff who genuinely care, and she made a real difference to our visit. The location is perfect for exploring the city and soaking up the Pride atmosphere. Thank you, Malmaison Leeds, for such a fabulous stay — we’ll definitely be back!

Stayed here recently for work and was upgraded to a very spacious room — definitely appreciated the extra space and the bed was comfortable. That said, the layout of the room was a bit odd and the décor just wasn’t to my taste — a bit on the quirky side.||The hotel itself is great overall: excellent location, ideal for getting around, and the breakfast offered a good variety. It is on the pricey side, but the quality was solid.||A very decent choice for a work trip, especially if you value space and comfort — just be aware that the room design might not be for everyone.

I received a warm welcome from Zeinab who let me check in a little time before 3pm. I was offered a large room at the back of the hotel overlooking the river Aire. Fortunate as it was Leeds Pride weekend. I opted for the eco package which provides a donation to the Brain Charity. Just means that the bed was not changed or towels replenished. Worked well as only there for two nights. Well worth doing. Helps the environment and donates to this important charity.

Visited for one night midweek to attend a work event the following day.|Upon arrival the hotel was easy to find and close to Leeds train station, which was an added benefit after having spent nearly 6 hours travelling.|Check in was an easy and pleasant experience before being allocated room 405, which was on the top floor overlooking the river at the back of the hotel.|The room was a great size and very comfortable, the only downside was that it didn’t have a smart TV, so my plan of chilling out watching something on Netflix for the evening wasn’t on the cards. The TV did have something called Chromecast, but I had no idea what exactly this is or how to use it. |The bed was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. The room rate included breakfast, which I was told on check in was continental style. I didn’t feel like breakfast the following day, so cannot comment on this.|Overall, this is a comfortable hotel in a great location and the next time I need to travel to Leeds would definitely consider this place.

Many thanks to all the staff at Malmaison for making my partner and myself feel truly catered for in every sense of the word. ||From the moment we walked through the door the relaxed yet attentative attitude of the staff on reception immediately gave me a feeling that my weekend trip to Leeds was going to be a thoroughly enjoyable one. ||Helene and I would like to offer our gratitude to Zenab, on reception, for her lighthearted, fun yet attentative reception. How better to be greeted than with a warm and open heart. |Ross who appeared to be always on hand to help with any problems that we had no matter how demanding our requirements. Thank you Ross for helping with our IT issues. 😁😎👍|Jade...what can I say. I'm almost lost for words. My partner and I have stayed in hotels all over the world from LA to New Delhi and we have never turned to one another and simultaneously been so spontaneously complementary about a manager such as Jade who effortlessly went above a beyond the call of duty at every minute; all while maintaining a happy team behind the scenes and making our stay a absolute delight. ||Thank you Jade for running such a great team and to you personally for flying the Malmaison flag so high. You are a shining star. 🌟||Thank you once again to all the staff and to everyone who makes staying in Malmaison such a wonderful experience.

Room well appointed but shower difficult to use due to stupid design meaning you had to practically lean against the wall to get wet (and could have been easily resolved). Music from bars opposite could not be blocked out by the 2 windows and went on last 2am so not able to sleep due to booming bass (and I like music!).||Cooked Breakfast disappointingly cold and served on a cold plate (apart from beans served in a ramakin).||There are better and cheaper hotels, would not return

I've been stopping here on a regular basis and wouldn't stop anywhere else. Staff are very friendly and experienced with a professional outlook. The rooms are serviced well and maintained to a high standard. The cocktail bar 🍹 is well stocked, and the drinks are served to a very high standard 👍 There is a bonus too. If you have more than a 1 night stay you can forfeit a room clean for 2 free Cocktails at the bar. Also, as it was my wife's birthday, we were upgraded with our room and 2 complimentary drinks at the bar from the reception staff. Thank you to all the team for a fantastic stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you want to pay for the privilege of staying at a nice hotel but having your sleep disrupted……. Don’t stay in room 307 if you want to sleep after 6am. The window is not fitted correctly and will wake you up as it ‘clicks’ as the sun expands the frame. The clinking continued for an hour before I decided that I wasn’t going to get any further sleep. Staff poorly trained on costomer relations.“I’m sorry sir” really doesn’t cut it’s that extra hour was needed as I’d driven 5 hours that day and have a further 5 hours of driving a head of me. Nothing offered by way of compensation! (Tip: the continental breakfast is over priced @ £18. Go to Cafe Nero - 2 mins away and you’ll find the same things at a faction of the price)
