The best cod I have had. It's not only the fresh ingredients but the unique combination of creamy dressing, pumpkin cream with roasted nuts and the combination of spices that married so beautifully with their own baked bread (which you can buy). Exquisite! Michelin star please!

We came here to try some Swedish dishes and were pleasantly surprised. My first time trying the Malmsten fish soup here - possibly the best soup I've had so far. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and great service. Love the bread and salad bar as well! Highly recommended.

Was recommended by a friend that this was the best fish soup in Lund. Indeed it was excellent! Service was also tip-top, waiting time was not long and the freeflow complimentary freshly baked bread and fresh salad with honey mustard were amazing!

Very nice experience and quick service. We had the soup which is what I’d recommend and the fish of the day (haddock). Anchovies had a strong flavour as always. 260SK in total Delicious and recommended. Very reasonably priced.. Chris my recommended..

Excellent restaurant in the center of Lund. Great service and a really tasty shrimp sandwich. There seems to be a shortage of eggs in Sweden, so there was no boiled egg on my shrimp sandwich, but it was otherwise of world-class quality.

What a great meal, if you have a chance you should stop for a meal here. Attached to a fishmonger stall in the hall, the fish is fresh and you can tell from the taste. While the menu is minimal, it means what they do they do it well! This is one location I really wanted to hit up, and I am so happy I got the chance to, one of the best meals I have made in my many travels.

Lunch is ok with Dagen Fisk. I had expected to be better. The fish soup was much better so recommend that than regular fish. It’s inside Saluhall. Bread was really nice with salad included too for lunch. It costs 95kr to buy a prepackaged fish soup and you only need to heat up at home, tasting the same good

Yelp
Headed out to Lund's Saluhallen on Saturday to visit one of my favorite Tapas spots but found out they've moved. So the good thing about that is I get to try a new place. Malmstens is kind of in the middle of the food hall and they are in an area that feels like an atrium given the sky light from the window ceiling that provides a bright dining experience. They have a bar seating area as well a mix of high and regular tables. This place is all about seafood. I ordered the Fish soup which comes with a salad. The simple leaf salad is self serve and includes bread with a Honey mustard dressing. The soup was excellent! Light Tomato base and full of Salmon, Saith, Plaice & Cod. Perfect lunch! Paired it with a draft Nils Oscar which I think is one of the best Swedish Lagers. My server's were all very friendly and attentive pointing out the English menu on the board and answering my questions with a smile. Only way it could've been better is if it were freezing outside.

Yelp
The oysters raw and oven baked were delicious! The mussels were fresh and the cooked cod over risotto with picked vegetables paired with hints of apples was also very nice. The staff was attentive and courteous! The restaurant is an open environment with available seating at the bar. We arrived after 630 and were lucky to find a spot at the bar. I would definitely return to try the soup and have a glass of wine.

Yelp
They give you bread even when you take away the soup(85kr for takeaway and 95kr for dining in). I highly recommend the fish soup which is a real treat during the cold and they give a large amount of fish in it too. Portion for the other dishes are rather large too.

Yelp
Today we finally made it to this place for lunch. This fish soup was the best I've ever had! Selection for lunch was limited, but what they offered was plenty. Service was very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend visiting this jewel.
