Great spot for some pub food and sports on many great TVs places throughout the joint. WARNING….the nachos can feed many people. We ate all we could and it didn’t even look like we touched them. Would be great for them to offer snack sizes of them as they were very tasty and I highly recommend the guacamole as well.

We were there during a busy time of trivia night and still the service was excellent!! Food was hot and Tasty .. Our waitress was friendly and sufficient.. we keep going back because no matter how busy it's awesome service and the food always tasty!!

Visited this pub last minute and kind of random but was very pleased with their food! I ordered pizza and tater tots with chili. Both are very tasty especially for pub food that normally very basic. There was live music as well when we went there on Friday evening. Definitely recommended for late night chill place to drink and hangout.

Great beer (selection), good service... And the food looked really good (didn't manage to eat there). Atmosphere is really nice, although my first visit was on a Sunday around noon(!)

Randomly stumbled upon this pub like sports bar on a Friday night haven't been in here for a few years. Menu has changed and but drinks and food are still ad good as I remember. Also dj playing on Friday night sets a fun mood. Ordered the chicken penne pesto. Loved it and price wasnt overly expensive! Beer selection is great with daily specials! Cheers!

Steak frites are 29 on the website menu but 36 when you arrive. Nice bar good atmosphere but my steak, while a nice portion, was definitely medium and not mid rare.

Excellent venue for a private party. Attended an office Xmas party. Fit 200 people! Yummy food. Excellent staff.

Yelp
This place was just downstairs from where I had been staying. One evening, after a long day of hiking, I was sore & didn't feel like going far for dinner. So I just walked downstairs. The room constantly thunders with a thousand conversations. It's hard to hear or be heard in here. I decided on the fish & chips with hard iced tea. Workers were rushing back & forth, getting so much, to so many, very quickly. I sympathize with them, since I worked in restaurants during my earlier years. It was them who made it an enjoyable night.

Yelp
I was craving wings so bad for several days and got turned away from another local pub for having a 5 month old with me. I found this place and so glad I did. Great wings and the IPA's here are delicious. I'm filming a movie here until May and will make sure to be back with some of the crew!! Fully recommend!

Yelp
Great happy hour menu. Service was just ok. Can't imagine how it would be if the place was actually packed. They do show UFC fights on weekends so that's a major plus!

Tara E.

Yelp
Pros: Food was quick, hot, and tasty. Service was friendly. Beer was cold and plentiful, lots of options available. Cute little booths and bar area. Good vibe. Waitress was quite nice. Cons: Had to wait a bit to get a check.

Yelp
Great Food! Excellent service Great Ambiance Rebecca M was a great server. She had no problem changing out a drink I didn't like to something I liked. Awesome place to enjoy an evening with music.

Gabby O.

Yelp
We had a great time here. The place is big and has comfortable seats. The service is good and it has a good selection of beers. The food was tasty and it came relatively fast. There's trivia night somedays and you can watch sport games. Good place to hang out with friends.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted a beer and a little snack to hold us over until dinner. The bartender was so friendly, polite and profesional. She worked the bar AND brought out the food as well. We had Poutine and a tasty Caesar Salad. The Poutine was amazing and the flavors were like what Grandma made. Just delicious. Great beer and great food.

Yelp
Great place. Totally forgot to put a review. It's a big place and staff were great Awesome happy hour. Might go there today

Bo S.

Yelp
Happy hour pricing was good but food came out cold. Waitress and service were really good. The bus boy was 5 star and did continuous loops the entire time. Great variety of options for draft beer.

Yelp
Came for UFC. Great screens, excellent selection of food and drinks. Service was top notch. Will be back

Yelp
This is such a cool place to hang out for drinks and to eat some nice food. The good thing is that it is spacious and has some nice and comfy seats. The decor is simple and expected for a lounge-type environment. My colleague and I went in for a quick lunch as we had an hour during the day. The server came quickly to serve us so we didn't have to worry about not going over our lunch break. We ordered the daily lunch special and a kale salad. After we placed the order, it took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive; we felt a little impatient and thought we made a bad choice to come here during a one hour break. It was a bad choice because it takes such a long time for the food to come out after you've ordered. It didn't leave us with much time and we had to hurry back to work. The kale salad was really good. A nice combination of texture, taste and freshness. The soup wasn't so great. The server told me it was beef and veggie soup but there was no beef in it. I asked her if it was beef or just beef broth to which she replied "that's what the menu says - beef". I'm not sure if I should've been offended but my colleague and I looked at her for her bluntness and arrogance. She probably thought she was being funny but it was the total opposite. I probably should've sent my food back to the kitchen but the salad was so good and we like this place for drinks. We will surely come back but if she's going to serve me again, I'll ask for a different server.

James A.

Yelp
Okay I've been here for 3 ufc and no cover ever. Tonight for a low grade fight they want a cover charge? Because it's in Vancouver really. I'm ashamed at this establishment. And won't be back. The food is pub fair at a high price. Decent but not worth the price.

Yelp
My trip to Vancouver was a quick one and since we were only in town for about six hours, this was the one spot that we tried. It was a last minute decision after we struggled to find a restaurant that we could all agree on for dinner. It seemed like there wasn't a lot of suitable options in the Granville/City Centre area so we basically ended up here by default. My mom and I decided to split the mac and cheese and get an order of truffle parmesan fries on the side. The mac and cheese was just okay and needed seasoning. I added some salt and pepper and it helped a bit. The truffle fries, however, were delicious! I wasn't mad about anything here but I wasn't excited by it either.

Yelp
Looks like I'm the first to review since the main Covid restrictions came down in this area since late April, May 2022. I was just in here for a late afternoon stop after an appointment but I thought it was an all right place noting that I've been here many times before in the past. I only ordered a happy hour dish of fish tacos which I thought were quite acceptable for the $12 price. They are going to knock your socks off if you are a taco snob like me but I did practically inhale them. I think this place has been improved or renovated since my last visit because it looks pretty good in there with the seating and black/whitish motif. I did find it a little dusty but only because I was checking that out for my Yelp review. They have a big door open to the busy streets and I suspect it's something that they need to keep on top of. The servers were cool and very capable. They dress in casual clothes which I personally like. The washrooms were fine considering this place really is a bar later at night and probably gets a lot of messy guests. I was impressed that they had a nonalcoholic beer for me even though neither myself nor my server could find it on the menu. She was very helpful to bring it out to me to show me the can first. A locally brewed Pilsner. This isn't really the kind of place I spend my time at at this point in my life but I would recommend it over other versions but I've been to in Vancouver. Lots of TVs for sports that are well placed for the seating and as they advertise, a whole lot of beers. On the credit card machine they have that tip option where they tell you the percentage to choose based on whether your service was good, great, excellent, etc. I always find that really annoying since it's telling me what to think. Lastly I checked and there are some very high rated reviews under "not recommended" here on Yelp; no idea why.

Yelp
After a day touring Vancouver, my group and I were quite hungry and really wanted to grab dinner before heading down to cross the border back to Washington as we weren't sure how long the wait times would be and it was already nearing 9:00pm. Vancouver is such a huge city, yet somehow we ended up in an area with few options and with a group of 4 differing taste buds, Malone's ended up being a sort of default choice since the menu has pretty generic food items that most anyone would like. Once inside, I was happy with the choice as it ended up having a very lively atmosphere and our waiter was quite upbeat and friendly. After a quick glance at the menu, I opted to try the Spicy Chicken Sandwich: flame grilled chicken breast, spicy aioli, guacamole, mixed greens, and lemon slaw with a side of French fries. The chicken was cooked well and I was a huge fan of the spicy aioli which gave each bite a bit of a kick. The French fries were a nice golden brown with the perfect crunch, though the side of ranch that I asked for dipping wasn't my favorite. It wasn't quite as creamy as I'd prefer, so I ended up using ketchup which is a last resort for me. Prices seemed to be on par with most sports bar-type restaurants within the big cities in the states and the portion sizes were good so if you're a light to medium to eater, I'd think you could generally make two meals out of one. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely visit Malone's again to try a couple more items off of their menu.

Yelp
I don't drink, but I came here for a workplace dinner event. The food was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. I had a variety of appetizers and a pizza. I recommend their nachos and a plate of nachos could easily feed four people. Their fries were good too as it was perfectly cut and perfectly fried without being burnt. None of the food served was undercooked, overcooked or burnt. The staff was very accommodating as they let us change tables for a better seating area after we were already starting eating. Our group sat in the tables for over four hours, and the staff didn't make give us any pressure to leave even though one table was practically empty. The washroom did not have paper towels. Paper towels should be mandatory for restrooms with doors and old fashion faucets so people could use it to turn off of the sink and open doors with it to prevent the spread of germs. The air circulation of the restaurant on the lower floor could be improved as I could smell second-hand smoke from outside.

Yelp
Tried this place out for lunch. It's a large pub and has an average noise level at lunch. My server was friendly and attentive and only was hard to find when I needed the bill but it's didn't ruin my experience at all. I ordered the goat cheese, walnut and pear salad and added a side of prawns to it for $5. The food came out quick and the prawns were tasty and there were huge chucks of goat cheese. The pears were a perfect softness and I would come back and try something else again.

Yelp
Came in late for a drink.....we were enticed by the lively music that could be heard from a block away. Very impressed....full bar and 38 craft beers on tap. This place was pretty full at 10:30 on a Sunday night. We sat at a high top towards the back, perfect because we could hear the singer/keyboard player, and we could also have a conversation. A waitress approached us within a minute, gave us food & drink menus, and brought us water. I tried the Wayside apricot wheat beer, my new favorite, and my husband had a few different stouts. The waitress was quick to refill our water even though she had pretty many tables. Music was great.....pop & r&b favorites from the 70's & 80's. Performer was full of personality & got the crowd dancing and cheering....fun time; I'd definitely go back!

Yelp
I just give them a star because of the drink. It was good, it wasn't a big deal but that's ok! So guys, i tried this place to eat and drink, but unfortunately I didn't have a good experience there. First, when I ordered a beer the glass was dirty and I didn't hear any apologizes for that. The waitress was not helpful, I think she was worried about the time and she was in a bad mood. I tried to ask the bill, but it was a little difficult cause I didn't find the waitress. All the restaurant where I went, this one, it was terrible. Guys, I'll be to honest with you, I've never wrote a bad review before, but this restaurant, unfortunately receive one of mine and I expect you have a good experience and they treat you the best way that you deserve it!! Sorry :(

Yelp
Been here twice. Once for takeout and once for dine-in. The dine-in experience is so much better. It's a seat yourself kind of place. There was no issue finding a server and getting our menus (during dine-in). Take out on the other hand was a different story. No one was helping and we had to literally chase someone down to ask if we could order to go. So... if you're doing take out, go straight to the bar and order from there. Maybe we didn't started off well but it felt like forever before we got our meal. Things I've tried: - Lamb sandwich (3/5): It's one of the starred items on the menu and it's got lamb (one of my fav meats) and eggplant (interesting). I got it with fries and salad. The salad also comes with a side of tabbouleh. The sandwich was average. You get enough meat but the meat itself wasn't very seasoned so you don't get much flavour. Most of the flavour of the sandwich came from the eggplant spread - which to be honest wasn't that much either. I liked the fries. It was golden and crispy. The salad was ... a salad. The tabbouleh was awesome though. I wish my salad was just that. -Spicy chicken sandwich (4/5): This was way better than the lamb sandwich. The chicken has flavour and avocado spread at the bottom gave the sandwich its creaminess. But little did I know... they charged me for the avocado spread +$2. You'd think they'd ask if you want to have it as an add-on before making the decision for you. Anyways, at least it was tasty. Sadly, my favourite part of the salad; the tabbouleh was not given to me this time around... so I'm not sure if it only comes with the lamb sandwich. So I asked for it when our server passed by.

Yelp
My spouse and I chose this restaurant due to the interesting Dine Out menu (only available for Dine Out). Overall we were quite disappointed. The appetizers were quite overcooked and mediocre flavors at best. The main entrees were much better, not amazing but very reasonable. Dessert was also very meh. The flavors on the menu seemed interesting and complex but didn't come through at all. It seemed like the recipes were simply out of the depth of those making them. While I know this is a taphouse not a bar, the cocktail I ordered was terrible. Stick to beer.

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Not a bad bar located just off the beaten path in downtown Vancouver. This place has a TON of rotating taps with pretty much any type of beer that you could hope for. There is a very wide selection of IPAs, whites and Pils' and each of them are pretty freaking good. The service was solid but the place could use a bit of cleaning up as there was a bit of a foul smell walking in. Overall, not a high end spot but also not bad spot for a nightcap or just to hangout with some folks. Pros- Fantastic beer selection Friendly service Location Inexpensive Large Functional seating area Cons- A bit ghetto Somewhat of a foul smell Cross between nice and divey

Brandon A.

Yelp
Honey chipotle wings were delicious and our waitress was one of the most friendliest servers we've ever had! Can't wait to visit B.C. again and come back. 5 stars!

Doris H.

Yelp
Came a little later in the night (around midnight) since my group was bar hopping and Malone's was the only place that had cheaper drinks. Our group of 12, which later ended up being about 18 had a pretty decent time. It was just too bad that the only service available around midnight was bar service and no food was available (luckily Chihuahua's is right next door so we were able to eat). Atmosphere was on the quiet side, other than the really loud live music. Overall experience was ok but I just felt the options were a little bit limited compared to other places but the prices were on the cheaper end so this review is more of a 3.5 star?

Anisa A.

Yelp
We visit Vancouver often and love to make a lunch stop here every time. Pretty sure it gets busy at night, but I prefer the day time vibes here. Everything you could possibly need on the menu. Salads, ribs, poutine, grilled salmon, chicken burgers, perogies - shall I go on?

Simon K.

Yelp
Not a bad place to gather if you are needing a big place with many people and really no extra requirements except alcohol, this was the spot, and somehow we came on a Friday for a little meeting that kind of became somewhat of a drink fest. I do not usually come to this area of town to pour the alcohol down my throat, especially on a Friday night but I have always known of the place. The entrance is along Pender, and once you enter you are greeted right away with an ID check. If you forget your ID, well you are out of luck, don't matter how old you look, take that as a compliment. This place is definitely one you can deem a sports bar, and on any given Canucks night, all the flat screen televisions will be showing the local sports game, at the same time there will be some type of loud music going on for those who are just here to drink it up and have a good time. On the Friday we came here, it was a 90's music night, and with all the beer pitchers I was seeing hit our table, it was a happening night. We had a nice booth seating near the front door, and there are areas here where you can either sit, be at the bar, and even play on the pool table, just know where the liquid flows, and if you are not too shy... company will be coming, and somehow we had a mini party going on. Unfortunately when I was here, and with Mark H., that there was no food to be had, and our only hope was the Burger King next door, due to some kitchen renovations they were having, but it might have been more fun with some nibbles. No matter, the music was booming, people were having fun, somehow our host who invited us dragged out other people who he just met, which ended up with new friends for all of us, and some lost in the washroom due to all the beer that ended up on the table. If you are looking for a drinking hole in financial district, this would fit the classifications of one, if you are looking to watch sports, there is enough tv's here, and if you are looking for different theme nights, this is also the case.

Teresa V.

Yelp
Free cover for 90s Friday nights after 10pm! The dj played some awesome tunes, however, the drinks were a bit diluted. As well, even though it was an amazing night, not a lot of people were on the dance floor

Dean W.

Yelp
Rayanne was our awesome server. Went there for thursday 1/2 price bottles of wine. Great happy hour as well.

Alex S.

Yelp
tldr: it's good, go there. Tried to make a same day reservation for a lunch time world cup match on Malone's website, but either form wasn't well designed or no one was checking. Arrived and asked the hostess and she put my name in for a group of 5. Good sports bar atmosphere, although fans a bit reserved/timid for my taste. Had a beer at the bar while waiting for friends to arrive from their work lunch break. Excellent craft beer selection for the area, had LTM sours from Quebec and a diverse variety of styles. Bartender was solid and attentive. When my friends arrived 5 min late we were seated at a different table, but it was better. Friendly and professional service. My order got swapped with another table so a big delay, but my buddy and I ordered the same thing, so we split it and I didn't have to watch everyone else eat while waiting. Both the server and what seemed like the manager came to apologize for the mix up, explain what happened, and also that it would be for free. Can't argue with that, I appreciated the upfront attitude and compensation for the delay. My buddy and I ended up splitting his order. I'll be coming back! Hope my future visits are as good as this last one. Food was good pub food, not deep fried generic junk. Burgers say house ground, but you can't order below well done sadly, but a rare or even medium rare burger might as well be a unicorn in a Vancouver restaurant, so was expected. Very minor complaint would be the men's bathroom layout as it doesn't flow well and bottlenecks in strange ways. Can imagine long lines/waits and threading through folks with a packed pub.

Kate M.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Malone's! I've always wondered about this bar just up the street from my work. I've known it to be a place to catch just one beer after work. To my surprise I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. The service was fantastic and I absolutely loved the festive feel with all the Christmas lights! This pub kind of reminded me of the UK with the exposed brick and buzzing vibe of the other bar patrons. We ordered the garlic and spinach dip to start which was yummy, just wish it was on the gooey stretchy cheesy side but nonetheless was tasty. I ordered the braised beef Mac n cheese and my bf ordered the veggie pizza. The Mac n cheese was delicious, creamy and cheese which I find is so damn hard to find in this city! Malone's did it well. I didn't care for the beef on top but it was tender. They did however put unnecessary arugula on everything including the Mac which made no sense to me. My bfs pizza looked quite sad and had kind of a weird flavour profile. I'm not a fan of zucchini on a pizza and would have subbed artichoke in for that along with a nice creamy goat cheese. This pizza definitely needs some love. To finish the meal we had the chocolate pecan torte which was pretty dense. It was also quite cold so it made it hard to cut through with a fork. Overall our experience was great but the food needs a bit of TLC. If you are looking for a great Mac n cheese, tasty beer and attentive service, I do recommend coming to Malone's!

Alexander N.

Yelp
Malone's used to host the best night out in Vancouver - Thursday Karaoke. Words cannot express how disappointed I was when this was cancelled. Standard pub if you're looking to grab some food and a beer with your buddies...for a weekend social atmosphere look elsewhere.

Brenda L.

Yelp
This establishment is an absolute joke. How is this place rated 3 stars?? The only reason why this place even deserves one star is the prime location in downtown Vancouver. Other than that, our experience wasn't great. The servers here need to get their act together and not over charge their customers! Happy Hour from 3-6 = discounted beer. Nope, that didn't happen... when the bill came, we were charged the original prices. Also, I left early and paid my bill. At the end, the server came back and told my group that I didn't pay and didn't take the amount off the bill... Also this place is strictly a tap house.. no wine... and no other drinks offered other than cider and beer.

Andrew K.

Yelp
4 of us popped in here for a quick lunch while taking a class at SFU nearby. We only had one hour so we were in a bit of a rush, but it was quiet so it shouldn't have been a problem. We ordered fairly promptly and expected to be in and out well in time to for class. Issues never seemed to end in terms of service. First of all we all ordered drinks and the waitress brought 3 drinks and told the 4th guy with us that they were having issues with a keg and his drink would be ready soon. 20 minutes pass and he still doesn't have a drink, when the waitress finally returns to tell him he can't have it after all and pick something else. He wasn't impressed as he prefers to finish his drink before eating, which he could no longer do. Next, 3 of our guests food shows up, but the waitress says my order of pizza was dropped by the chef (or something along those lines). No biggie, but we had about 20 minutes left before class so I informed her about this while everybody else ate. We also asked for the bill in advance with the hope of paying while we ate to speed things up. She promised it won't take long, but 10 minutes later still nothing. She did bring the bills for us all though, but failed to actually take our money. I told her in no uncertain terms we had to leave soon, and she said it would be 3 minutes. About 8 minutes pass and finally I get the pizza and have to throw it down my throat. She did offer a pizza box, but what am I supposed to do, eat take out pizza in the middle of class? It's lucky I'm an extremely fast eater as it would have been way worse if I wasn't. We finished up and STILL had to wait another 5 minutes or so before she returned to take our payment. Couldn't you have done this while we ate? You knew we were in a major rush, we asked for the bill early for a reason and we were already late because your staff dropped my pizza. You brought us the bill early but never took payment until 5 minutes after I finished eating, totally defeating the point of bringing the bill early. My bill was comped 50%, which I never asked for and was nice of them, but we were still 15 minutes late for class. The food itself was alright, typical bar/restaurant food, nothing to write home about that's for sure. The waitress was actually a nice gal and it's not her fault the pizza was dropped or the keg was broken, but she wasn't very responsive to how much of a rush we were in and everything seemed to take forever when it didn't have to.

Yelp
This review is for 01/02/2012. With less than 12 hours remaining in Vancouver, my friend and I had to celebrate one last time. I have explored most of Vancouver in less than 48 hours and fully understood how everything works. The one thing I got to understand even more is where to go in Downtown Vancouver after work. Well, I don't work in Vancouver, but I now know I can try Malone's Urban Drinkery. Earlier in the day, I was at Rogers' Stadium and there was a game going on against the San Jose Sharks. The first thing you'll notice when you walk in the Malone's Urban Drinkery are all the Hockey Team Flags, then the TV all set for the games. It was kinda quiet at the bar since most people were headed to the stadium. We were greeted by our friendly native bartender, Nick. I ordered my usual Cape Cod and my friend got a beer. After that my friend copied everything I ordered. Geez...dude...I ordered a lot of drinks from triple orders of Cape Cod to the Sampler. This was the first time I ordered the Sampler. Most places have it, but I never have tried it until now. I drank those beer samplers like it was whiskey shots. I think I choked on one of them because of I think one of them was a darker beer. I have no idea how many drinks I had. When it was said and done, the bill came out to $74.54. Hmmmm....there were two of us and we ordered a ton of drinks and still $74?. Not bad at all. I am actually surprised that I was able to walk on my own will power back to Samesun. Overall, its a good bar. I am used to Los Angeles' scene of crowded, but it wasn't crowded at all...not even for a Canucks Game. I wish my trip didn't have to end here. The last place to forget that I was actually leaving. Only three days in Vancouver and already wishing that I had Dual Citizenship. By the way, I liked how the restroom faucet worked, use your knee to operate the water. I used the wrong knee and hurt myself. Use your left knee :) Yelp is My Review, My Story, and My Life. Its time to share it.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Came in here for the fight and by luck, landed in front of the tv by the door, sitting on a pool table. The place was busy as heck, but Gabby rocked it and managed to serve us throughout the evening even though she also had tables all over the restaurant to take care of. We had a tiny issue with the bill at the end of the night, but mistakes are bound to happen when a night is that crazy. The nachos and yam chips were amaaaaazing as well. Would definitely love to go back on a normal night again, and request gabby for sure!

Mike J.

Yelp
It's 3pm on the first Saturday of March Madness. You're showing an east coast blackout hockey channel. This used to be a decent place to watch sports.

Ramon V.

Yelp
Malones has upped their game over the years from being just another sports pub to one of the better beer sampling bars in the area. There once was old Malones. It had a small beer selection and average food menu, but was the happening place on a weekend. I remember many a Sunday night spent dancing to cheesy tunes after a guest band had the stage for an hour or two. Things have changed and times have changed. Malones is a bit more grown up now. It still has a firm grasp on it's old traditional downtown sports bar feel, but you can now expect a pretty surprising and decent craft beer selection on the beer menu. The guys from my company make this a regular stop on their after-work wind-downs. They got me hooked on the Lagunitas IPA. The food is so-so. The nachos are definitely smaller than they used to be, and pricey. It's difficult to pick a decent food option after a few visits because it's pretty typical of a downtown pub. +1 for the beer selection -1 for the same ol food. Two bad experiences: I was denied access when they were charging a cover fee on St Patrick's Day even though the place was half empty at 4:30pm and my fellow workmates had a table with ample room. This October, I saw a sign outside that said $4 Oktoberfest beer. Inside, they had a pretty good looking beer menu applied to this special, but we were informed that none were actually available. Since it was a company function with 30 people expected, we asked them to change the A-board to say something else to avoid embarrassment. They eventually did.

Yelp
Came here for drinks and had really poor service. When I told the server my beer wasn't cold- and felt the glasses of my two companions to be sure, and those were cold - she immediately got defensive and rude, saying "I just watched them pour it," to which I replied "sure, but it still isn't cold." She visibly rolled her eyes and said "uh ok...i'll go...make it cold for you." I watched her go back to the bartender and throw up her hands and shake her head as if this was an idiotic and unreasonable complaint. All I wanted was a chilled glass and she really made no secret that she was taking this personally. She didn't ask if the next one was better or apologize. I caught her making faces every time she left our table. If we'd been there for more than drinks I would absolutely have complained to the manager.

Yelp
Imagine that, I show up early on a Sunday afternoon and ask for an Irish coffee on a cool day. Sorry not on our drink list. Huh? Got the bartender, well ok. Would've had brunch too but she never came back. Maybe she was new. Guess I'm not a late night binge drinker just wanted brunch with a bit of whiskey in my coffee. Moved on.

Yelp
Surprisingly better than I thought it would be. We went here before a concert with some friends, and were not expecting much. They have a great beer selection, even a tasting flight if you're so inclined. The delirium (pink elephant) is fantastic, if you'd like to try a great beer. Our waitress was fantastic, very helpful, friendly, honest, responsible and efficient - seriously, very good service. The food was much better than the pub grub we expected, one had the chicken salad which was a lettuce mixture with tortilla chips and chicken, but very fresh and a great dressing made it above average. The philly cheesesteak sandwich was great, very nice tasting and great bread. Nice atmosphere, music was playing but not so loud that we couldn't hear our group conversation. Definitely a good experience, and if in the area and looking for a pub, we would go back.

Yelp
Awful service. Awful. In fairness, I was with a large group. And the waitress did remember my name. However, waited half an hour to get my first drink. Waited an hour to get my second. And was served freezer burned chicken wings. The bill came.....with someone else's food order added to mine. They would not take it off my bill, until someone else offered to pay for it. Smells more like a scam. 75 % of our party gone, no one to claim it, add extra food to the bill, pad your profit and your tips. Management rating - very poor Server rating - maybe it was her first night as a server - very poor Food rating - very poor.....but others seemed to enjoy theirs Stay far away. Browns is right across the street. Gotham is nearby. If I could give no stars, I would.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast. Okay coffee. Not much ambience. Polite yet awkward service. A little dark but cool air on a hot day.

Yelp
An okay beer selection... But what self-respecting craft beer joint doesn't do regular choosable flights? The food has gotten worse over the years and the service has taken an absolute nosedive. I used to love this place. What happened??

Yelp
Urban Drinkery? Yes, that certainly seems to belong in the title. When we were walking down the street to find the place we knew we did not need to look up at the sign when a fight was starting to break out at the front door. The person that seemed to be causing the most problems did back down and just walked away but it certainly was an interesting way to be greeted at the door! Inside we mused at the fact that the clock was only turning past 6:30 PM on a Friday! The beer selection is great and I made a small tasting tour during a dinner of fish and chips that I was very happy with. A large piece of fish, nicely breaded, on top of a good quantity of fries. Service was great and one of us being a football fan was quickly able to get one of the hockey screens tuned to the game of interest so in the end we were all happy. The funnier part of the night came when the person looking to fight outside came back in later in the night and started drinking again with the 'friends' he was about to brawl with at the door. I guess in the end drinking was more important than fighting for this Friday night...

Yelp
Another pub, another meeting place for my alcoholic buddies, and another place where I become deaf after coming out. It's loud, the food is nothing to write home about, and it can get quite crowded. Actually, really crowded to the point of standing room only. So to me, it's just another pub. I don't come here for the food, only the liquidification of my stomach.

Yelp
Just found out they serve Fruli strawberry beer here! Nice way to finish off a night on the town.

Yelp
Don't let appearances fool you! This is a dive bar on the outside only. Malone's offers good food at a good price with its revamped menu. Usual pub fare done well with a few other choices in case you want some more variety. There is a surprisingly good tap list. Something for everyone. Service is friendly and efficient. No nonsense in a good way. If you need a place to watch the game, Malone's is a solid option.

Yelp
Slow service. Mac and cheese and burgers are delicious. GREAT beers. Go, it's worth it - but only if you have time :)

Yelp
The staff were nice! The music was well chosen, eclectic and atmospheric. The place was nicely lit and well styled with alot of exposed brick, wood and hanging Edison bulbs if that helps paint a picture for you. Unfortunately thats where the fun stops, they advertise my favourite beer on their signs outside ( Innis & Gunn, for those interested) That was in fact the reason I dragged my fiance inside for a drink, I'm then told that they don't serve it. Then I ordered a Stella in consolation, to be told that it was off. I settled for a simple old Budweiser, Which they did have! I was then met with a poorly poured pint, with very little head that dissipated within a minute. Over all a nice atmosphere, location and service which fell down on a beer and tap house's most important quality, the beer quality.
