I definitely recommend visiting this place. The aquarium is not very large and can be explored quickly. If you love the underwater world, this is an excellent attraction. Be sure to visit the submarine simulator – it’s an interesting experience. Tickets are cheaper if purchased online, and you can do so upon arrival at the location; scheduling a visit is not necessary. Highly recommended!

Interesting place, I think it is worth a visit to see marine animals that you never seen. I recommend to buy tickets online is cheaper by 3 euros! We took one hour with the tour. I recommend entering the room gdze simulates the descent into the depths:)

Lovely aquarium situated in a great location. The outside space is really nice, equipped with benches, decorative structures resembling fish and a playground. On the first floor there is a free exhibition about submarine archeological findings. On the ground floor there is a classy restaurant. The aquarium's tanks are based in the underground "carved" into a cave-like space. The decor all around was very nice, the tanks had different shapes and sizes and exhibited a wide variety of aquatic animals and plants. The ticket was maybe a bit pricey and the shop as well. Nonetheless it is worth a visit.

The place is nice but small if compared to other aquarium I’ve visited. The activities they organize during the day make the visit more interesting. It’s a fun activity if you have kids but I’ve not been amazed by the species I saw in it.

A lovely activity to do when visiting Malta. We booked our tickets in advance online which is also cheaper. When we arrived there was a short queue outside. We thought this was the queue to enter but it was just to buy your tickets. This bit could be more clear with what line to go to. If you have booked in advance, you can go straight to the barriers where you scan your QR code. The aquarium had a good variety of fish and reptiles. We took about 2 hours looking around. The shark tunnel was my favourite. There was also an immersive experience included which takes you into a lift and acts as a submarine- this was pretty cool and unexpected. There was a shark talk whilst we were there. Overall a really good aquarium if this is something that interests you. I’d recommend

For the price, I found this aquarium to be quite small and finished within 1.5 hours at a very leisurely pace. Based on the size, I would recommend for families with younger children. We visited on a weekday (Friday) during the offseason (January) and still found it a bit busy/crowded. I can't imagine what it would be like during peak tourist season. There's a nice restaurant inside with a good ocean view. Food is decent and well priced. You must pay for parking (not included with your aquarium entrance tickets).

I loved the Malta Aquarium. It surprised me because, given the size of the country, I didn't think the facilities would be so good! The experience was fantastic! I was able to admire several species of fish and reptiles. I was disappointed because I expected to see rays, but there is only one small species and there is no octopus. Although the structure of the building makes it look like an octopus, I also expected to see some octopus in the aquarium. We spent almost 1h30 inside, so it was time well spent. We went to the second floor where we were able to learn a little more about the history of the work of divers and the artifacts found in Malta. As for the cost of the ticket, I think it should be more affordable for students.

Absolutely fantastic aquarium, it's not the largest by any means but I took my time and I was in there for over two hours without realising it. There's a lot of different sea life to look at with lots of signage to educate you on what you're looking at. I would recommend paying extra to have the behind the scenes tour, it's only around €5 and it lasts for 30-45 minutes, it gives you a bit of an insight into the running of the aquarium and as a bonus you get to be up close and personal with the sharks as they're being fed. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, giving talks as specific tanks at specific times as well as giving you the opportunity to join in on interactive sections. I'd really strongly recommend a visit here
