Malton Relish

I can't praise this little deli enough. The 2 lads who were taking orders and serving where great. Very friendly and efficient. The lady in the kitchen cooking everything was also friendly and helpful as we needed the loo and dhe kindly let us use the staff toilet. I had eggs benedict with mushrooms £12.70 from the breakfast specials menu and was really tasty. My partner had a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich on seeded bread £8 and said that it was one of the best he's had. The shop itself sells all sorts of chutney's, relishes, quiche, pie's, colslaw, various sausage rolls, wine, beers and pre-made meals, cheeses, crisps and lots more. There's a few tables inside and also a few tables outside under a gazebo. I understand that there's an antique shop upstairs but I didn't visit so cannot comment.

As tables have menus I sat for quite a while waiting to be served; a lady came eventually and told me ordering was at the counter (shame it didn't say that on the menu, unless I missed it). Nice warmed cheese scone and rather small cup of Americano, as their standard size. Looked like some lovely sausage rolls etc. on display.

Although the menu is a little limited the dishes we chose were extremely good. The home made quiche was superb and you got 4 salads with it so was very filling My wife had scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and she couldn’t eat it all, there was that much The service was also excellent from everyone we came across All in all not the cheapest place and a fairly limited menu, especially for vegetarians, however the service and standard/quantity of food was very good

Lovely cafe on the main square in Malton. Friendly and polite staff. Full English was lovely and the latte too!! Slightly quirky cafe, which sold other items, from antiques and candles to food/reipe items, wines, etc, plus birthday/party banners and candles. Overall, it was a lovely cafe, which I would definitely recommend!!

Just shy of a tenner for a takeaway sandwich and a coffee. £3.95 for takeaway coffee is just too much. You could get it for less than that in a hotel in Harrogate. A bit greedy, me thinks!

Lovely Quiche salads etc. Staff so helpful today as i follow a Keto diet. I was also given a couple of little treats to try. Blackberry/ Mozzarella/ bazil leaf on Cocktail sticks, Keto friendly of course. 😄Wow they were lovely! Will definately return. Thankyou Ladies an excellent caring service, most places do not try to even help to offer something to meet your needs.They had Gluten free Cake on the menu today too for those who have to follow a Gluten free regime.Maybe they offer more Gluten free options?

Great place for dog owners. Friendly staff. Dog treats available to buy, describes which type of dog, small-large, suits which dog. Lovely cup of tea. Food looks delicious
