Malwa Retreat, Mandu

Review about Malwa resort, MP tourism.||||I believe this hotel is run by MP tourism or it may be approved by MP tourism.||||This hotel management is cheater.||||We had booked 8 rooms for 2 nights in this hotel for 16 and 17 august 2025. We don't believe in website photos so we had requested to send latest photos to this hotel management. Hotel management sent us photos taken 3 to 4 years back. Believing on the photos sent by hotel management we booked 8 rooms and sent full payment. But when guests reached the hotel we came to know the actual status of the hotel. The hotel is in run down and in the worst state. I am posting the current photos of the hotel herein below for all of you to check and beware of such fraud management. One room is literally made from partition particle board. Very cheap rooms and not a quality of even single star hotel.

Great location, easy access. Rooms are poorly maintained. Dirty bed linens and towels. The rooms need a proper makeover. Property has great potential but let down by poor maintenance of rooms.

Malwa retreat is now seperate from malwa resort. Retreat is a private property and resort is of MPT. We stayed in MPT malwa resort

Good property (but building is old), location is best, staff is cooperative.

Rooms are good but small, servicing was good, ambiance , valley view all good . But one thing annoyed me that we booked online delux room regular prices was 3500/- with extra bed they provide at 4000/- but to my reference friends they provide the same @ 2800/-. Even they tried to loot while billing of dinner by adding extra items. Food was good on first day. On second day they reduced too much quality on same dish so that we ordered extra and bill becomes doubled. Although kids enjoyed a lot.

I had been to Malwa Retreat in Septemeber'2024 with my family and the pet (yes, it is a bit late review, I know :-) ). We had a great time there. Mr. Ghosh, his colleage Dharmendra and staff there, made our stay very, very comfortable. The location is perfect, IMO. It is spacious, well-maintained and right on the ridge, behind. The view of the valley is pleasant to the eyes. They are pet-friendly and for this, I give them more points. The family of monkeys made the days even more entertaining. A request to all visitors: don't be afraid of them. They do no harm. Just ensure that you don't throw away food packets etc., here and there and don't instigate them.

This is one of the best place to stay, very calm and peaceful place, big size lawns, pond side view, nice landscape. Food is awesome and delicious, inside restuarant service is ambience is nice. Very suitable and safe for family.

It was very very old.I had a slight peek at the rooms the ceiling fell down.
