The food was excellent and authentic, served in a space with unique ambience and thoughtfully designed interiors. Our dishes arrived quickly, and we were very happy with both the portion sizes and the quality. The person who served us, likely the owner, was also friendly. The only regret was, we didn’t try the pad thai. Note: no card payments, however they accept Euros.

Stepping into Malý Buddha is like crossing a threshold into another realm—a sacred space where food, art, and spirituality create a divine experience. For over 22 years, this restaurant has been a haven for my soul, offering not just nourishment for the body but for the spirit as well. The owner, a master chef and a gifted painter, pours his heart into every aspect of the restaurant. Each dish is crafted with love and care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients sourced daily from local farmers. The essence of Tibetan buddhist Asian cuisine comes alive here, a true gift for anyone seeking authenticity. You don’t need to travel to Tibet—Tibet comes to you with every bite, every aroma, and every sip of their exquisite teas. My personal favorites, the Yogi Spicy Tea and Aged Rice Tea, are meditative experiences in themselves. The moment you enter, the energy shifts. The soft glow of lighting, the tranquil music, and the sacred Buddhist temple at the back envelop you in peace. time slows down, inviting you to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the present moment. The walls adorned with the owner’s unique paintings add another layer of depth, offering a glimpse into a world of higher consciousness. I was reading a late review from guests that they have voiced concerns over small details, like the 10 Kč charge for water or the cash-only policy. Yet, these elements feel minor in the grand scheme of what Malý Buddha represents. The menu is transparent, I whole heartedly recommend this magical place to anyone ready to experience something profound. Here, food is art, and the ambiance is pure soul.

Nice restaurant with great food. Unfortunately the owner does not advertise, that he does not accept credit cards - and then sends his customers out in the rain to the nearest ATM. The ATM over charges on the exchange rate with +14 pct. Free business advice: Dont let your trust issues or lack of ambition/cutting of necessary business costs ruin your customer experiences.

My favorite restaurant in Prague since 1999. Prices have gone up but the quality is still excellent. I love Malý Buddha and am so happy it's still here

I wouldn’t say it’s the best pad thai I’ve ever had, but this place is a sweet, calm oasis run by a very nice couple in a hyper-touristic area of Prague. A great place to stop for lunch between museums if you’re tired of goulash. It’s quite impressive that they don’t accept credit cards, but do keep that in mind. (They do take Euros.)
