MAM - Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia

Disappointing, I would say. It's one small gallery, literally one room that exhibits at the moment some photógrafs, some garments and some pictures. Then there is one other room with the history (solo Portuguese). And one tiny chapel, that also exhibits some garments. The cafe is alright, the coffee is below average quality. It's free, but not worth a extra visit, I say. If you are in the area, have a look for 15min.

Love a free museum! We went on a Saturday and the only part open was downstairs. I’m not clear on whether we came back, other parts would be open. It was fun to see the art on display, but even more fun to see the workroom with art classes going on. Got a vegan brownie at the cafe outside and saw that there would be a samba festival that night at a stage that was being setup. Seems like a great hub of activities

The museum is currently displaying two amazing exhibits. Caminhos de ferro was amazing beautiful I loved it. Plus on Sunday the entrance is free

After checking the website, we decided to visit the museum. However when we arrived the main building was closed, because of setting up a new exposition. No mention of this at all. There was a small exposition in a cellar which really wasn't worth the trip. Overall the helpfulness of people working there wasn't great.

There was only one artist's works (fabrics) and was more like a gallery not a museum..

One of the best place that I've been before. The enviromente, the people, the structure, food and speacially the music. Don't let to know this place on Salvador.
