Mama Shelter Prague (Prague, Czech Republic) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"From unlikely beginnings in an inauspicious corner of Paris to expansions across France and as far afield as Los Angeles and Rio, it’s been a journey for Mama Shelter — and now they’ve advanced to the east, first to Belgrade and now to Prague, that most pleasant and picturesque of Central European cities. And while the historic city center might be a bit quaint for Mama Shelter’s purposes, the hotel’s setting, in an up-and-coming neighborhood on the north side of the Vltava, provides just the right amount of perspective." - Tablet Hotels

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel has modern furnishings and makes a very well-kept impression overall. The rooms are large, spacious, very clean and also modernly equipped, you immediately feel at home. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, making you feel well looked after at all times. The breakfast was also convincing: a good and varied selection. The location is also ideal: quiet, yet central. There are shops in the immediate vicinity and the city centre is only about 10 minutes away by train. All in all, I can definitely recommend the hotel and will be happy to come back when I get the chance.

We had an amazing time at Mama Shelter Prague! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and friendly staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely attentive to our needs. It really made our stay feel extra special. Our room was beautiful, with a stylish and cozy design that reflects the hotel’s fun and creative vibe. The view from our room was stunning, adding a lovely touch to our mornings and evenings. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is vibrant yet relaxing, perfect for a city break. We can’t recommend Mama Shelter enough — it truly exceeded our expectations, and we’d definitely stay here again on our next visit to Prague!

I had a wonderful stay at Mama Shelter in Prague. The room was a solid 4-star; comfortable and well-kept. The service, however, was truly outstanding, definitely 5-star. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. The location was perfect, with easy access to the city’s highlights, also deserving 5 stars. And the food? Delicious! Overall, everything was good and I’d gladly stay here again.

The best stay possible. What looked good in the photos was even better in person. The atmosphere was super modern and stylish, the staff was attentive, and it was located across from the tram station that goes to the historic city center. There were a few shops and restaurants nearby. The price didn't match the quality of accommodations. I'll definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Prague.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and quick with any requests.|We needed a single sheet to use instead of the heavy thick quilt and we got one, changed to a clean one on the 2nd day.|We stayed in Prague for 7 days , but because it was very hot we didn't see everything | Also we met our nieces from Austria so we spent 2 days walking around the city and looking for the Astronomical clock!!|Also we had a trip to the ossuary church in Kutna Hora and 3 other historical and amazing churches with a guide. He walked too quickly for myself and 3 other ladies who had difficulty walking, therefore we had a rushed meal at the end of it all, with people and the guide waiting for us. Very annoying 😒 my advice choose another company or use a taxi.|The history lesson was exhausting but interesting when you could remember it., but definitely go yo see the bone church, holding many skeleton sculptures.|The hotel was beautifully artistic with colour everywhere beds comfy, tram stop outside across the road. Transport system is excellent. Tram 6 every 10 minutes. Lots of good places to eat and drink nearby, a big shopping mall just up the street. |The restaurant terrace of the hotel is fantastic with swing couches, all varied seating to relax in, or eat some food..quite expensive though so we ate there twice, went out for breakfast. |Don't eat in the main squares, it's too expensive. |Rooms were cleaned every day with a bottle of water every day if you ask the cleaner, though the tap water is OK to drink too. Very fresh and cold.|Shower very good, instant hot water. Free pool games, and table football machines too.|Will we return? It is noisy with the trams outside at the cross roads but yes, I think we will because of all the above and we liked the area.

From the moment we stepped inside this hotel we loved its quirky, playful character. The staff were very friendly, the decor and layout of the hotel bursting with personality. The rooms were spacious offering pleasant views of the local neighbourhood. The hotel is outside the main city centre but it is very accessible via Prague’s very cheap tram network (there is a tram stop immediately outside the hotel). The hotel bar and restaurant were very agreeable and the food was good. We made good use of the pool table, video games and pinball machine in the hotel lobby (all free, a nice touch). For the price Mama Shelter Prague was heading for a five start review but then we decided to avail them of their laundry service (we were inter-railing and not staying in one place for long enough to find a launderette). I suppose it was our fault for not checking in advance but when our bag of clean laundry was given back to us it came with a bill for just over £140! It was mainly just pants and socks.||Our protestations were met with a shrug. Reflecting afterwards we wished we had just left them with our bag of underwear and not pay the bill as it would have been far cheaper to throw them all away and buy some new ones from Primark. ||Mama Shelter is a lovely hotel but the outrageous cost of getting our laundry done left a nasty taste in the mouth.

Loyal Accor member and first time experiencing the Mama Shelter concept. ||Loved it! The hotel was great, staff very friendly and the mama XXL room was cozy as well. Free movies in the room, spacious bathroom and good beds. ||Breakfast was everyday the same options but tasty. We also ate 4 times dinner at the hotel which was very very tasty!! I told the staff about it. ||Upon check in and check out the front office manager assisted us very well and was very kind to offer some small services to us. ||Overall experience was great! |Thanks Mama !

It is a really cool hotel that is nicely designed. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was clean and the staff is friendly. The price for the parking is about 10€ per day. The breakfast was fine, but in my opinion something that could still be improved. I am not sure if it was worth the money.
