The staff were very helpful, friendly and quick with any requests.|We needed a single sheet to use instead of the heavy thick quilt and we got one, changed to a clean one on the 2nd day.|We stayed in Prague for 7 days , but because it was very hot we didn't see everything | Also we met our nieces from Austria so we spent 2 days walking around the city and looking for the Astronomical clock!!|Also we had a trip to the ossuary church in Kutna Hora and 3 other historical and amazing churches with a guide. He walked too quickly for myself and 3 other ladies who had difficulty walking, therefore we had a rushed meal at the end of it all, with people and the guide waiting for us. Very annoying 😒 my advice choose another company or use a taxi.|The history lesson was exhausting but interesting when you could remember it., but definitely go yo see the bone church, holding many skeleton sculptures.|The hotel was beautifully artistic with colour everywhere beds comfy, tram stop outside across the road. Transport system is excellent. Tram 6 every 10 minutes. Lots of good places to eat and drink nearby, a big shopping mall just up the street. |The restaurant terrace of the hotel is fantastic with swing couches, all varied seating to relax in, or eat some food..quite expensive though so we ate there twice, went out for breakfast. |Don't eat in the main squares, it's too expensive. |Rooms were cleaned every day with a bottle of water every day if you ask the cleaner, though the tap water is OK to drink too. Very fresh and cold.|Shower very good, instant hot water. Free pool games, and table football machines too.|Will we return? It is noisy with the trams outside at the cross roads but yes, I think we will because of all the above and we liked the area.

Rooms were good, very cool and fun. Bathrooms are a good size, bedrooms are slightly small but not a problem unless you’re planning on sitting in the room for long periods. They have really cool merch that you can buy. Bar/restaurant downstairs is great and they have a really nice terrace outside. Food/drink prices are reasonable and everything is good quality. There is a tram stop 50m from the hotel which will take you into the city. Conference facilities were very good. All staff were very nice and friendly. This is the third Mama Shelter I’ve stayed at and I’d definitely come back if I returned to Prague in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Mama Shelter Prague. Although it’s not right in the very center, the location is convenient and well connected by public transport. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were fun, stylish, and full of little surprises that made our stay special. Highly recommended!

Excellent Option for a Prague Stay||This hotel offers a fantastic base for exploring Prague. While not located directly in the Old Town, its position provides a great balance of accessibility and tranquility.||Location: Situated in a district just a short distance from the main tourist attractions, the hotel is conveniently located. Tram lines 6 and 17 are easily accessible from the hotel, providing a quick 10-minute ride to the heart of the Old Town. Alternatively, a pleasant 30-minute walk along the river offers a scenic route to begin your Prague adventures.||The area surrounding the hotel boasts a wide array of excellent and reasonably priced options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This allows you to enjoy high-quality meals away from the often crowded and overpriced restaurants in the Old Town.||Check-in/Check-out: The check-in and check-out processes were incredibly efficient. Our check-in took a mere 5 minutes, thanks to having prepaid our stay. Check-out was even faster. The reception staff were all young, friendly, and welcoming.||Room: Our double room, while not overly spacious, was perfectly comfortable for our needs. Both the room and the bathroom were immaculately clean. We particularly appreciated the spacious and comfortable king-sized bed. Despite our room overlooking the street, it was well soundproofed, effectively minimizing noise. While we could occasionally hear other guests in the hallway or the sound of televisions, this seemed more like an issue of guest consideration rather than a fault of the hotel itself. We did not use other hotel amenities such as the restaurant, so we cannot offer any feedback on those.||Value Tip: For a significant discount, consider booking your stay directly through the hotel's website.

A hidden gem for vintage & geek culture lovers! I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The vibe is truly one-of-a-kind—perfect for anyone who appreciates retro charm and geek culture. Every corner is filled with quirky details, from vintage décor to pop culture references that made me smile at every turn. The rooftop terrace was the highlight for me. It has such a cozy, laid-back atmosphere, with great music, comfy seating, and stunning views—ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. Whether you're into board games, classic arcade machines, or just want a stylish and nostalgic place to stay, this hotel nails it. Super friendly staff, a unique aesthetic, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Big and spacious room, with a perfect view. The masks hanging in the room were first a bit creepy... :) and you'll know what I mean when you see them. Breakfast was okay, but could have had more variance on bread and toppings side. And the location is convenient but if you wish to visit the city, it is a 30 min walk

Fabulous hotel, great location, tram stop is close, a beautiful park with amenities is very near. great food, gluten free too, Rooms are great. I'll be coming here again soon, well done Mama Shelter. We came here on a walking trip, it was ideal, around 40 mins into Old town of Prague.

Great concept, but disappointing execution. We were initially drawn in by the hotel’s fun branding and unique design, and while the concept is appealing, the overall experience didn’t live up to it. Our room was quite small and lacked proper maintenance—scalding hot water at the tap, a dusty hairdryer with peeling paint that we had to return to reception (only to have it wiped, not replaced), and an odd, wobbly desk lamp that seemed more fitting for a student dorm than a hotel. The TV system had great features, but on our last day it lagged so badly we had to turn it off manually. The headboard was not well cleaned, suggesting surface-level housekeeping. Parking was another letdown: although we paid for it, the exit barrier was open the entire time, meaning others accessed it for free. The lot by the hotel was full, and we ended up parking near a construction site within the same parking in the rain and mud. To top it off, the kitchen closed a few minutes early for a pizza class, leaving us without the meal we planned for—a frustrating and ironic end to the stay. Overall, it’s a stylish idea with lots of potential, but the attention to detail just isn’t there. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
