Super clean, spacious, warm dorm rooms with very comfy mattresses. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly (helped print my tickets, lent me a hairdryer,.. all free). Nice breakfast, large space downstairs with chairs and couches and there's a laptop you can use for free.

Our 1 day stay at the hostel was very smooth. The staff here is very nice and helpful. The kitchen here is probably the nicest among the hostel kitchens. The have water filter installed so you can skip the bottled water if you trust the electronics.

Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff in this clean, simple, stylish hotel which is close to both train and downtown area. Loved the photographs and wall decor in the warm cozy lobby area, and the access to a kitchen with free tea and coffee. Firm bed was great (often a problem in hotels).

The rooms are brand new and the best shower I've had in a while. The front desk girls are absolutely the best, very sweet. We even used there nicely equipped kitchen. It was such a nice stay.

Easily the nicest hostel I've stayed at during my trip in Peru. If you're looking for clean and well maintained accommodations book a room here. The room has modern fixtures and a super comfortable bed. Everything was extremely clean. They offer a variety of items for sale in the main room downstairs. Everything from beer, wine, candy, instant noodles to locks and other random goods. The prices are extremely reasonable too. In the kitchen they have filtered water available which is an amazing perk if you're hiking Machu Picchu. For breakfast they offer cereal, baked goods, yogurt, tea and coffee. Tea is actually available 24/7. Breakfast starts at 4am for all those eager hikers. On top of all that Mama Simona has an incredible staff that's helpful, friendly, and very professional.

Very friendly, accommodating, great location, and cheap. Wifi was a bit spotty, so if I really needed it I would've had to have gone elsewhere, but other that that, it was worth the money. Served a light complimentary breakfast and even let me change with my stored luggage after we came down from Machu Picchu before the train trip.

In the heavily concentrated and backpacker-heavy Aguas Calientes, it's hard to pick the right place to stay. Mama Simona is newer and definitely cleaner than other hostels I have stayed at. Their front staff is super friendly (and I believe pretty good at speaking English - can't comment as I spoke to them in Spanish but heard their English exchanges), met us at the train station, gave us lots of recs during our stay, and let us store our bags there for the day while we were exploring Machu Picchu. Knowing we probably had a few hours of down time until our evening train, that told us from the start to just relax there until our departure, and we saw several other travelers doing the same. My husband and I booked the private double bedroom, which had good space, a comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom that we were pleased with. Breakfast is a little more anemic than other places we have stayed in Peru (mostly bread, cereal with milk/yogurt, tea/coffee, and a limit of one boiled egg per person), but likely on par with other places in AC and more than sufficient to get you through the morning at MP. We would definitely stay here again! Gracias por todo!

Excellent value for money. Clean room, hot showers, comfortable bed for a short stay on the way to Machu Picchu. Staff were very friendly and helpful, giving a great first and second impression. Breakfast starts 4:30 am so Machu Picchu visitors can have a quick bite and wait for the bus at 5:00 am. While the private room was small, it was perfect for what we needed for a short stay on the way to Machu Picchu.
