I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The main issue for me was how my request for a late check-out was handled. I asked twice (once on the day I arrived and again the next morning), and both times I was given the same generic answer that the hotel was “fully occupied,” without any real effort to offer alternatives or try to help.
What made it more frustrating was that after I checked out, I was sitting in the lobby and overheard another guest making a similar request. In that case, the staff were much more accommodating and even suggested moving them to another room the next morning to allow a later check-out. The inconsistency didn’t feel great, and given that it was a Wednesday (not a holiday period) and I could still see several rooms of my type available online for that date (at least 5), it left me with the impression that I wasn’t being dealt with honestly.
The room itself was also somewhat disappointing. The photos of the classic double room show a spacious room with two large windows, but I was given a smaller room with only one window. It didn’t feel very spacious, although the bathroom was a good size.
On the positive side, the breakfast was good, the lobby is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the location is excellent. With more transparent communication and more consistent treatment of guests, this could have been a much better stay.
