Mama's Restaurant

The food was good. It's just for the crowd we had the food didn't come out like it should. For instance people want their grits hot to eat with your Bkfst. And their cold by the time it gets there. She was helpful. It's just needs help.

We ate lunch—I ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. My order came out with green beans instead of Mac & cheese but the waitress brought me the Mac & cheese after I told her there was a mistake; it was elbow macaroni in cheese sauce with some shredded cheddar cheese on top, & it didn’t taste like Mac & cheese to me. The mashed potatoes were very thin & tasted like instant potatoes to me & my companions. The chicken fried steak tasted like fast food & like the grease it was fried in was old. It was edible, but certainly not what a home cooked meal would taste like, especially for a restaurant named “Mama’s”. We wouldn’t recommend the food nor would we go back. They also charge more if you pay with debit or credit card rather than cash, which we didn’t like.

Great place! We have gotten food from here quite a bit and we really enjoy it! I'm pretty sure that they have never even messed up an order! Today, we ordered delivery, and it was still just as good. My wife even asked for extra well-done hash browns, and they were extra well-done, which never happens at any other place. My chicken fried steak w/ gravy was 10 out of 10. The fruit cup was great as well. We will be ordering again EDIT: Still crushing it. 😎

Our server, Crystal, was excellent. This was our first time here and will definitely be back. Very friendly and attentive. We had breakfast and it was delicious. Very large portion.

Been here in east Texas for about 6 months. I finally found the best place to have Sunday breakfast. Everything was fantastic and will be back. Keep up the great work.

Got the 3 taco special on their website, prices are way off the current actual menu price in their restaurant, no compensation offered. Tacos were bland, ground beef was pretty much flavorless. Complimentary chips were provided with to-go order, but they’re not salted at all. Staff was friendly although they should offer to fix their website’s error, regardless I won’t be back.

Excellent food and service. Sadly, they were out of cheesecake. The All Meat Omelette was so good. The Chicken Fried Steak was good. Best Green Beans

The service was just okay. It was pretty early tho - maybe they hadn’t had any caffeine yet. The food was decent. Eggs Benedict was good. Eggs were done well. I wish the English muffins had been toasted a little more. I’d also recommend asking for your hashbrowns to be done extra crispy unless you like them kind of soggy. 😅
