Mamasan Bali

Visited for dinner based on a few recommendations—and conveniently located right across from our hotel. Like many places in Bali, the space is beautifully designed with great decor and a vibrant atmosphere. The food overall was good, with a mix of hits and a few misses. Favorites: • The Caramelized Char Siu Pork Hock was the standout—served in a Peking duck-style setup with pancakes. The meat was tender, and the flavors were spot on. • Also really enjoyed the Malaysian Lamb Shoulder and the Charred Cabbage. Less impressive: • The Tuna Crudo felt a bit bland, while the Dry-Spiced Tuna was a bit overpowering for my taste. The Thai salads and money bag dumplings were decent, but not particularly memorable. The cocktail menu is solid—everyone in our group found something they liked. The staff were warm and attentive, though a gentle warning that we were over-ordering would’ve been helpful 😄 Overall: A stylish, lively spot worth visiting for a mix of Asian-inspired dishes and a fun evening out.

The service was outstanding—everyone was warm, welcoming, and took great care of us. The menu is a fusion of various Southeast Asian cuisines, and the dishes came out quickly, beautifully prepared and plated. Two of my dishes (the oxtail noodles and lamb shank) were a bit too salty, but the lovely floor manager that night was very understanding. She kindly helped reheat and adjust the seasoning, and even offered us a complimentary dessert 😊 Overall, a cozy and welcoming experience at one of Bali’s most renowned restaurants!

The staff were so friendly and accommodating! We had really good conversations with them as well! The food and drinks were so good and really worth it for the price. I would come back here again and try the other items as well but I would really go back for the duck buns!

We went 4 of us for lunch as a treat on our second last day of our holiday and it was a treat indeed. We ordered 2 entrees of dim sum - generous serves and very delicious along with a cocktail each to start off. Then we did the lamb shoulder, Peking duck and char siu pork, which the waiter recommended. All of the dishes were sensational. The waiter very kindly informed us that we had probably ordered enough dishes as we were contemplating ordering a rice dish also and we were grateful for his advice as there was plenty of food and left us room for desserts! We had a lovely bottle of wine and beers too. The price isn’t cheap but we felt it was worth every penny for a beautiful meal and drinks and great service. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We had an excellent experience at Mamasan. The food was outstanding and the service was just as impressive. Winnie was especially helpful. She made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal and even gave us great recommendations for places to visit during our vacation. Highly recommended!

Well what can you say when your dining experience was just amazing . The atmosphere was stunning and the greeting team so attentive on arrival the tone was set for the night. The cocktail list was so long and great that it made it difficult to choose and I said yes to the sparking water with an attempt to read all the choices and to make a decision. Then to choose the food My husband and myself celebrating 50 years together decided to go our own ways with the entree. He had the soft shell crab where as I had the cray pop corn The margarita chosen by Mr looked as good as my southern comfort and passion fruit Bellini tasted . Both cocktails were presented in lovely glasses accompanying gorgeous Crockery The main course brought us back together when ordered the steam boat fish with rice and greens . Wow wow wow ! The broth in the steamboat was as amazing as the ginger fish. The garlic bockcoy rounded off the perfect fish which was matched with a lovely chilled rose We looked at the desert menu but the entree serving were so generous with couldn’t do more than admire the offering We will be back! 5/5 100/100

I would give this restaurant 100/10 in every category — food, staff, and price! During our 5-day stay in Seminyak, we went there 3 times and tried a variety of dishes, all of which were absolutely flawless. What really stood out was the staff remembering us on our second visit. They greeted us saying, “You were here yesterday, right?” We were surprised because we visited during a busy lunch hour the day before, yet they still remembered us! If we ever go back to Bali, we will definitely be coming here again!

We had a wonderful night celebrating my partner's birthday at Mama San. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, making the evening extra special. The service was fantastic—staff were attentive and helped make the celebration memorable. Thank you to everyone at Mama San for such a great experience. We look forward to coming back!
