Decided to visit Mama San after seeing it recommended across social media. The restaurant has a beautiful setup with a stylish, comfortable ambience, and the service staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming — definitely a strong point of the experience.
We ordered the dishes they recommended (as shown in the pictures), but the food unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. Although served hot, the deep-fried items weren’t crispy at all — the batter felt soft and lacked the light crunch you would expect. The flavours were also surprisingly muted, without the punch or depth that Mama San is usually known for. For a place with such a strong reputation, the dishes tasted flat and one-dimensional.
Overall, it’s a lovely place with great service and atmosphere, but the food needs more attention to texture and flavour execution to match its hype.
