⚠️ UNSAFE PLACE - STAY AWAY! I booked a private room at Mambo Tango Hostel through Booking.com, but the photos were completely misleading. The room had no natural light and was on the ground floor. The advertised yard turned out to be a shared smoking area with people shouting and preventing any rest. The room smelled of mildew and had excessive humidity. The place hasn't been renovated in years. During my stay, I experienced serious electrical issues—every time I plugged in a device, the lights flickered. The staff confirmed the problem but refused to offer a refund. Instead, they proposed a room with a shared bathroom, meaning we'd overpay for a double bed, in a place that clearly hasn't done proper electrical safety checks. I ended up booking another place to stay somewhere safe. The hostel then falsely reported my reservation as a "no show" to avoid accountability and negative reviews on Booking.com. Save your time, energy and money—stay away!

It is located within a 10-15 minute walk from the center. The staff are very polite, and there is a free breakfast. Even though my stay had ended, they allowed me to leave my luggage. It will be my first stop on my next visit to Barcelona

Accidentally booked the room without a window so be careful when you book because this is not for everyone. Unfortunately they were fully booked out so could t change my room. Even though the room was pretty clean, the no window fact is a little odd. We slept with the aircon on and because we are located on the highest floor in the back of the building it was not too loud. The bathroom doors are extremely squeaky so they need a good oil spray. You need to compete for the shower which can be annoying They do offer coffee; juice, croissants etc for breakfast which is a plus. What I found quite weird and somewhat unprofessional was the Argentinian night receptionist who plays video games all night long which is fine because I’m sure it gets boring. However no headphones so him and his friends are on loud speaker yelling and swearing and it could be heard upstairs also…

Well, at first I was amazed, since I've never been in a Hostel. Fortunately enough no one was loud or messy, which was nice. Being in a bunk bed I was lucky I didn't have someone moving all night since that would make a lot of noise. Having to pay more for being a tourist and more for a small towel feels ... Foul. The breakfast is just plain with coffee, some packaged croissants that probably cost 20cents. You'd better walk 200min and get your own food. Sure, there is a hang out place, etc, but for a 1 night stay in the end of June being 48 euros it feels very, very expensive. I even choose the shared gendered room, since I wanted to pay as little as possible. Not having the opportunity to use the kitchen, have the food, hang out, the price is twice as what I would pay. Unfortunately I had no other choice for a 1 night stay close to Sant Jordi. Last note, the light in the bunk bed doesn't work for anyone so you better use your flashlight. :/ Overall, it's just okay. I'd stay again for the cleaness, kindness, and accessibility.

Thr friendly service is exceptional. A nice light breakfast offered daily- fruit, packaged rolls, coffee or tea. A very nice female hostess with red hair at front desk was always attentive and gave good advice. She was tremendous.

Worst thing I’ve done! |First of all, starting with the welcome..they unlock the doors it sounds like a prison lock! Second of all, the rooms were nasty! It was dusty as hell over the beds, which caused me asthma. Also the floors and the walls were dirty. |I payed like 480€ for 4 day(!!!!) only to find out that another girl booked the same room for a week for 500€ incl the flight from/to Germany!|As if that wasn’t enough..you have to PAY to actually get a towel, like the tiniest rooms weren’t already overpriced..|AND apparently, in the mixed rooms there’s a guy called Martin who sleeps there EVERYDAY that actually works there..the guy snores so bad he didn’t let anyone sleep..AND other staff members had to come wake him up every morning at around 5.30..which woke everyone up. |The rooms fit 8 people, but they’re tiny..and the beds horrible. |Also, there are no rules on how to behave there, so some other people who lived in the same room came in the middle of the night, screaming, talking, laughing, continuing the party, while waking everyone else up.|I was there for a concert..if I knew I’d have to pay so much money for that, then I would’ve sleep at the airport for 3 nights.|The last night after the concert I actually slept at the airport waiting for 13 hours instead of spending one more night there!|Disgusting.|And when I complained to the front desk they told me “that’s how it is”..

Travel a lot and this place is amazing! Wonderfull staff (Ambraham, Jhon and Simon are the best hosts! super helpful and friendly) , the only women room was so cosy and clean. I felt really safe as a solotraveller. Also a small breakfast and the lockers are included!! 5' walk from the metro and maybe 25' walk from te center center. Recommended!
